Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for managing the grouping and evacuation of personnel, consisting of a housing (1) incorporating a radiofrequency communication means. One of the faces of said housing (1) has means for connecting a physical support (10) comprising a photograph (9).

Description

    Field of the invention
  • The present invention relates to the field of personnel security on a site such as a marine platform, the field of personnel management systems which comprise individual identification cards and a plurality of terminals for reading cards of identification to record the passage in reference areas to allow security managers to assemble staff and verify the presence of all concerned.
  • Staff tracking and emergency evacuation planning systems typically use personal badges with a photograph to allow security personnel to verify the identity of the people when counting the assembly and evacuation. .
  • Other solutions are based on a badge comprising a transponder or an RFID component to enable automatic identification. This requires however an elaborate management of the delivery and revocation of badges.
  • The object of the invention relates to hybrid solutions for using on a given site badges of different technologies, in particular to allow a transition between two generations of badges.
  • State of the art
  • Known in the state of the art solutions for associating a badge to a support.
  • For example, the German patent application DE102011110670 discloses a card carrier for receiving an identification card with at least one optical identification element. The card carrier is a storage medium with a card reader having associated contacts for reading the memory card. It provides a communication designed to establish a wired connection and / or wireless connection with the memory card.
  • The US patent application US2006087493 discloses an improved display device of an identification card. The display device having a main body with a plurality of function keys, a speaker, a monitor, a microphone, a lens of the camera, a slot for a storage device, an input / output device, a portion of connection, and several receiving clips mounted on the main body.
  • The US patent application US2002170473 discloses a security device for mechanically resealable and releasably lockable cards in the housing.
  • The US patent application US2006016810 discloses a wallet carrying case comprising: a substantially rigid front panel comprising a four-sided planar body and a vertical rim extending along three sides of the four planar body sides; a substantially rigid back panel comprising a four-sided planar body and a vertical flange extending along three sides of the four-sided planar body; and a lid; wherein the front panel is hingedly connected to the back panel so that their respective edges can be brought into engagement with each other so as to form an enclosure having an open face; and wherein the lid is hingedly connected to the back panel so that the lid can be brought into engagement with the front panel so as to close the open face of the enclosure.
  • International patent application WO2009105854 describes a card holder such as credit cards and ID cards.
  • The patent application US2006172771 discloses a mobile communication device that includes a main body, a circuit board, an earpiece, and a microphone. An identification card is disposed on a surface of the main body. The card is disposed in the main body, and includes a transceiver for receiving and transmitting a wireless communication signal and an electrically signal processing device to the transceiver for processing the wireless communication signal.
  • Disadvantages of prior art
  • The solutions of the prior art are not adapted to the particular application of personnel safety management ("Personnel On Board" in English) for offshore platform. For such applications, it is necessary that personnel can be equipped during a transitional period of badges of heterogeneous technologies, for example passive badges and boxes equipped with remote transmission means RFID type.
  • In particular, the purpose is to allow, in an industrial building or oil platform, to provide all persons on board advanced boxes containing radio-frequency communication means, which are not physically personalized, and to add a passive badge containing physical information of personalization, for example a name, a matrix code or a bar code, and a photograph. The deployment of these devices is thus very easy. The communicating card holders can be stored and distributed in an undifferentiated manner, and each recipient of a card holder then inserts his personal badge to personalize the card holder and allow an optimal security management.
  • Solution provided by the invention
  • In order to remedy these drawbacks, the invention relates, in its most general sense, to a device for managing grouping and evacuation of personnel, constituted by a box incorporating a radiofrequency communication means, characterized in that one of the faces of said housing has means for connecting a passive physical medium comprising a photograph.
  • The card is preferably a simple plastic badge, without any electrical or electronic component.
  • Advantageously, said connecting means are constituted by claws disposed on two opposite edges of said face, allowing said physical medium to be inserted by sliding between said claws, said face also having protuberances on the two complementary opposite edges of the edges bearing the claws defining a reception zone of said support and having a height of between 0.2 and 1.2 times the thickness of the supports intended to be introduced between the claws.
  • According to a particular embodiment, the housing has no externally accessible electrical contact and forms a tight barrier between the housing components and the outside.
  • Preferably, the housing comprises at least one light guide emerging on the surface of said housing and transmitting a light signal produced by a diode electroluminescent controlled by an electronic circuit powered by a non-rechargeable battery.
  • Advantageously, the outer end of said light guide forms one of the claws.
  • Preferably, said light emitting diode is bicolor.
  • According to a variant, two light guides each extending between a light-emitting diode and an outer end forming one of the claws.
  • The invention also relates to a system for managing the grouping and evacuation of personnel, characterized in that it comprises a plurality of supports carrying a personalization photograph and a plurality of the device for the management of grouping and evacuation. of personnel, consisting of a housing incorporating a radiofrequency communication means, characterized in that one of the faces of said housing has means for connecting a physical medium comprising a photograph.
  • Detailed description of a nonlimiting example of embodiment
  • The present invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, referring to a nonlimiting exemplary embodiment illustrated by the appended figures in which:
    • the figure 1 represents a front view of the equipment alone
    • the figure 2 represents a front view of the equipment with a map
    • the figure 3 represents an interior view of the device.
  • The device is constituted by a sealed housing (1) forming a sealed closed room without any electrical contact or opening allowing communication between the inside and outside of the housing. It has an extension (2) pierced to allow attachment to a pendant. It has on the back a clip for hanging on a garment. This housing integrates the electronic means of radio-frequency communication and control of signaling means.
  • The housing has two pairs of claws (3, 4) and (5, 6) defining a guide for the insertion and positioning of a card (10) carrying a photograph (9). The card (10) is a rigid or semi-rigid support, for example made of plastic, comprising a photograph. Preferably, this card is a simple badge "passive", that is to say, integrating no electronic circuit.
  • The card is held by two protuberances (7, 9) provided on the lateral edges, and protruding from the surface of the casing by a height of between 0.2 and 1.2 times the thickness of the card (10), in order to allow the introduction of the card by the flexibility of the card, and ensuring the calibration when the card is in place.
  • The card (10) is a rigid or semi-rigid support, for example made of plastic, comprising a photograph. Preferably, this card is a simple badge "passive", that is to say, integrating no electronic circuit.
  • The claw (3) is constituted by a light guide formed by an acrylic piece sealed in the housing, the inner end is opposite a diode (16) two-color.
  • This diode (16) is mounted on a printed circuit (11) powered by a non-rechargeable battery (12). The printed circuit has an antenna (13) and a contactor (14) for checking the state of the housing.
  • The circuit may include a radiofrequency transmitter to allow the geolocation of the device carrier, or an RFID module to allow interaction with terminals of controls arranged on the site and to locate the users by zone.
  • The different zones are equipped with ATEX WIFI terminals to enable the managers to follow in real time the evolution of the evacuation with a connected tablet.
  • The circuit (11) controls the light-emitting diode (16) in three modes:
    • a first color corresponding to a low level of the battery
    • a second color when the device receives a support signal during an evacuation
    • a state turned off during normal operation.
  • The devices are used on an off-shore platform to secure the evacuation phases, during which it is necessary to:
    • Know the occupation of the site in real time
    • Plan arrivals and departures from the site
    • Locate staff members
    • Optimize the organization of emergency evacuations
    • Follow the evacuation process.

Claims (8)

  1. Device for managing the grouping and the evacuation of personnel, consisting of a housing (1) incorporating a radiofrequency communication means, characterized in that one of the faces of said housing (1) has connection means of a passive physical medium (10) having a photograph (9).
  2. - Device for managing the grouping and evacuation of personnel according to claim 1 characterized in that said connecting means are constituted by claws (3 to 6) disposed on two opposite edges of said face, allowing the insertion of said physical support by sliding between said claws (3 to 6), said face further having protuberances on the two complementary opposite edges of the edges bearing the claws (3 to 6), delimiting a receiving zone of said support and having a height between 0.2 and 1.2 times the thickness of the supports (10) to be introduced between the claws (3 to 6).
  3. - Device for managing the grouping and evacuation of personnel according to claim 1 or 2 characterized in that the housing (1) is devoid of electrical contact accessible from the outside and forms a sealed barrier between the housing components ( 1) and the outside.
  4. - Device for managing the grouping and evacuation of personnel according to at least one of the preceding claims characterized in that the housing (1) comprises at least one light guide opening on the surface of said housing (1) and transmitting a light signal produced by a light-emitting diode (16) controlled by an electronic circuit (11) powered by a non-rechargeable battery (12).
  5. - Device for managing the grouping and evacuation of personnel according to the preceding claim characterized in that the outer end of said light guide forms one of the claws (3 to 6).
  6. - Device for managing the grouping and evacuation of personnel according to the preceding claim characterized in that said light emitting diode (16) is two-color.
  7. - Device for managing the grouping and evacuation of personnel according to claim 5 or 6 characterized in that it comprises two light guides each extending between a light emitting diode and an outer end forming one of the claws ( 3-6).
  8. - System for the management of grouping and evacuation of personnel characterized in that it comprises a plurality of supports (10) carrying a personalization photograph and a plurality of devices for managing the grouping and the evacuation of personnel , constituted by a housing (1) incorporating radiofrequency communication means, characterized in that one of the faces of said housing (1) has means for connecting a physical support (10) comprising a photograph (9).
