Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to an oven comprising a portable memory port.
- In ovens, cooking programs are used for cooking different food types, determining cooking time and when components providing heat transfer such as heater, fan, etc. should be activated or deactivated. The cooking programs are installed to the oven by means of portable memories.
- The portable memory port is situated on the oven and close to electronic components. Moreover, it is important for the user to place the portable memory port in a manner to preserve the esthetic integrity of the oven.
- In the state of the art International Patent Application No.WO2012089458, a portable memory port is disclosed, that is situated on the oven casing that cannot be accessed when the door is in the closed position and that can be accessed when the door is in the open position.
- In the state of the art German Patent Application No. DE102007021940, an input module for an electronic memory medium is disclosed, that is situated on the front panel of the household appliance and that is concealed so as to be partially visible when viewed from the front.
- The aim of the present invention is the realization of an oven comprising a portable memory port that can be easily accessed and that provides ease of utilization.
- The oven realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof comprises a portable memory port that is arranged on the frame of the door.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the portable memory port arranged on the frame is situated on the upper profile and/or the side profile. Thus, an additional gap is not required to be bored on the outer glass plate placed onto the outer surface of the door or on the inner glass plate placed onto the inner surface thereof for the placement of the portable memory port.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the portable memory port can be accessed when the door is in the closed position or the door is in the open position. When the oven is placed to the gap in the kitchen furniture, the frame partially remains outside the said gap.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven comprises a handle disposed on the upper profile and/or the side profile. The handle has a U-shaped cross-section. The handle comprises two extensions extending in a manner opposite to each other and a portion between the two extensions that is coplanar with the upper profile and/or the side profile. The portable memory port remains between the two extensions on the handle that extend outwards from the handle in a manner opposite to each other. The portable memory port is concealed in the U-shaped structure formed by the two extensions of the handle and the surface thereof coplanar with the upper profile and/or the side profile, so as not to be visible when viewed from the front of the oven.
- In a derivative of this embodiment, the oven comprises the portable memory port that is arranged on the surface of the upper profile and/or the side profile, coplanar with the handle. Thus, when the handle is grasped, the user is prevented from touching the portable memory port.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven comprises a protector that covers the portable memory port, a portable memory reader that is aligned/overlapped with the portable memory port and a supporter whereon the protector and the portable memory reader are disposed. While being plugged into the portable memory port, the portable memory goes into the supporter and opens the portable memory port. The oven comprises a spring that keeps the protector closed by applying pressure onto the protector. The protector moves in the vertical direction and opens the port. During this movement, the protector compresses the spring situated therebelow.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressed spring causes the protector to move upwards and the portable memory port to be closed while the portable memory is being removed from the portable memory port. Thus, the portable memory port is protected against dust, etc. that may damage the board group.
- An oven comprising a portable memory port, realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
- is the perspective view of an oven.

- The following symbols are used for explicating the oven (1) of the present invention:
- M: Kitchen furniture
- T: Portable memory
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises at least one body (2), at least one cooking chamber (3) situated in the body (2) and at least one door (4) providing access into the cooking chamber (3). The door (4) comprises a frame (5), an outer glass plate (6) placed on the outer surface of the frame (5), an inner glass plate (7) placed on the inner surface of the frame (5), and an upper profile (8) and at least two side profiles (9) that form the frame (5) (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3).
- The oven (1) comprises a portable memory port (11) that is positioned on the frame (5). Data like cooking recipes, cooking time, etc. in the portable memory (T) plugged into the portable memory port (11) are transferred to the oven (1). Thus, the cooking process is facilitated from the point of the user (Figure 4).
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the portable memory port (11) arranged on the door (4) is situated on the upper profile (8) or the side profile (9). Thus, an additional gap is not required to be bored on the outer glass plate (6) placed onto the outer surface of the door (4) for the placement of the portable memory port (11). Thus, the esthetic integrity of the oven (1) is preserved (Figure 4, Figure 5).
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the portable memory port (11) can be accessed both when the door (4) is in the closed position and the door (4) is in the open position. When the oven (1) is placed to the gap in the kitchen furniture (M), the frame (5) partially remains outside the said gap. Thus, the portable memory port (11) arranged on the frame (5) can be accessed when the door (4) is closed. Thus, the user can install which data (music, cooking recipe, etc.) he/she desires to the oven (1) by means of the portable memory (T) plugged into the portable memory port (11) without stopping the oven (1) (Figure 1, Figure 2).
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises a handle (10) disposed on the upper profile (8) and/or the side profile (9). The handle (10) has a U-shaped cross-section. The handle (10) comprises two extensions (12) extending in a manner opposite to each other and a portion between the two extensions (12) that is coplanar with the upper profile (8) and/or the side profile (9). The portable memory port (11) remains between the two extensions (12) that extend outwards from the handle (10) in a manner opposite to each other. The portable memory port (11) is concealed in the U-shaped structure formed by the two extensions (12) of the handle (10) and the surface thereof coplanar with the upper profile (8) and/or the side profile (9), so as not to be visible when viewed from the front of the oven (1). Thus, the esthetic integrity of the oven (1) is preserved (Figure 4, Figure 5, and Figure 6).
- In a derivative of this embodiment, the oven (1) comprises the portable memory port (11) that is arranged on the surface of the upper profile (8) and/or the side profile (9), coplanar with the handle (10). Thus, when the handle (10) is grasped, the user is prevented from touching the portable memory port (11) (Figure 4, Figure 5, and Figure 6).
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises a protector (14) that covers the portable memory port (11), a portable memory reader (16) that is aligned/overlapped with the portable memory port (11) and a supporter (13) whereon the protector (14) and the portable memory reader (16) are disposed. While the portable memory (T) is plugged into the portable memory port (11), the protector (14) goes into the supporter (13) and opens the portable memory port (11). The oven (1) comprises a spring (15) that keeps the protector (14) closed by applying pressure onto the protector (14). The protector (14) moves in the vertical direction and opens the port (11). During this movement, the protector (14) compresses the spring (15) situated therebelow and causes energy to be stored on the spring (15) (Figure 7, Figure 8). The compressed spring (15) causes the protector (14) to move upwards and the portable memory port (11) to be closed while the portable memory (T) is being removed from the portable memory port (11). Thus, the portable memory port (11) is protected against dust, vapor, etc. that may damage the portable memory reader (16) (Figure 9).
- By means of the present invention, an oven (1) is realized that comprises a portable memory port (11) that is disposed on the frame (5) and that provides ease of utilization. Thus, data the user desires to use can be transferred to the oven (1) when the oven (1) is working and the door (4) is in the closed position. The portable memory port (11) is protected against environmental conditions such as dust, etc. by means of the self-closing protector (14) disposed thereon.
