Description

  • The present invention relates to a rail vehicle having a display device for displaying variable visual information and a method for optically signaling passenger information on a door or a window of a rail vehicle.
  • Known is the display of information inside the rail vehicle on displays or monitors that are mounted inside the rail vehicle to the ceiling. Such monitors often display messages or passenger information or entertaining information. However, the presentation of passenger information does not take place at a particularly favorable location or where information is most needed.
  • Object of the present invention was to provide a solution for displaying visual information, in particular passenger information.
  • According to a basic idea of the invention, visually perceptible information is displayed in a side area of the rail vehicle, in particular on a door and / or a window and / or side wall. A side area is in particular the lateral boundary of the rail vehicle, in particular a car body.

  • The windows 4 have in this embodiment, no display device, but could also be provided with a display device as the doors 2.   • Fig. 2 shows a door 2 with the door wings 3, viewed from the inside of the rail vehicle. Each door 3 has two embedded therein discs 8 (upper disc) and 9 (lower disc). Depending on the door construction, the door leaf 3 may also have a one-piece disk which covers the areas of the disks 8 and 9 shown or several disks.
  • In the area of the upper discs 8 display devices 10 are arranged. These may be, for example, electrically controlled displays or projection surfaces. Displays can be applied to the discs 8 as well as projection surfaces. A projection surface is, for example, according to a general idea of this invention, for example, a layer applied to a disc 8, which is suitable for the projection of visual information. In this example, let it be assumed that the information on the display devices 10, which are formed as projection surfaces, are represented by a projection. For this purpose, projection devices 11 are arranged in the interior of the rail vehicle, from which the information shown is projected onto the interior of the door leaf or onto the projection surfaces 10. When the door 2 opens by swinging and laterally swinging the leaves 3, the projection devices 11 can project the information onto the floor of a platform behind the door or onto the floor of the vehicle. Optionally, this requires a slight change in the projection device and focusing. The projection devices 11 are designed adjustable in this regard.
  • On the upper disk 8 of the right door leaf 3, a station information is shown in the upper two lines. The stop of the next stop is displayed. Below this, transfer information is displayed, with possible transfer routes selected from subway, tram and bus being displayed. In the lower part of the projection surface 10 malfunction messages can be displayed, it is currently being pointed out that no fault is reported.
  • On the upper disc 8 of the left door leaf 3 is the already mentioned further projection surface 10. On this direction information is shown, which should lead to transfer possibilities. The passenger takes by looking at the left projection screen 10 that he can go straight after the exit in the direction of tram, with a line information of this tram, in which can be converted, is indicated, in the form of a direction of travel. Below this it is stated that by orienting to the left the departing passenger can reach a subway with relevant direction information. At the bottom it is shown that by going to the right after exiting a tram can be reached in the direction of a specific destination.
  • The display devices 10 are not transparent where writing is shown in this example, whereas they remain transparent in the areas surrounding the writing. As a result, a light transmittance of the display devices 10 is given. The discs 8 located behind the display devices 10 in the viewing direction of the viewer are in any case translucent. It is alternatively possible to provide the discs 8 with a smart glass whose transparency is adjustable. Thus, the discs 8 may be formed as a release layer or have a release layer in the interior. With the separating layer can be prevented that information shown on the display devices 10 get out, where they, for example, a in Fig. 1 show advertising on the other side of the door. A compromise can be found as to how non-transparent the disk 8 is formed by a release layer. A complete lack of transparency will be undesirable in most cases, because thereby the disc 8 would be completely darkened. On the other hand, a complete darkening of the panes 8 by a separating layer could be alleviated by the fact that the lower panes 9 continue to be translucent.
  • In the example of Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 are on the outside of the door 2, shown in Fig. 1 , two electrically controllable displays 5 arranged, one each on a door 3. On the inside of the door 2, shown in FIG Fig. 2 , Display devices are provided in the form of projection surfaces, which have already been explained.
  • Fig. 3 shows a door leaf, wherein the right part of Fig. 3 the door wing in a view from the outside and the left part of the same door in a view from the inside, so rotated by 180 °. On the display device 5 on the outside and on the Display device 10 on the inside of this information is not shown in this view.
  • In the left part of the Fig. 3 are possible arrangements of a control unit for a display, for example for the display 10, or a radio receiving device, such as a WLAN module, shown. The outer display 5 is made in two parts in this example, which in Fig. 1 is not visible. But it could also be a display 5, which extends over the entire door or both windows in a door leaf.
  • The supporting structure of the door leaf 3 is designed in the form of a hollow profile, comprising an upper cross member 12, a central cross member 13 which separates the discs 8 and 9 from each other, and a lower cross member 14. The cross members 12, 13, 14 connect two vertical support 15, 16. For example, may be provided in the interior of the upper cross member 12, a control unit for the displays 5 on the outside, as in Fig. 4 even closer. A radio receiving unit, for example a WLAN module, may advantageously be accommodated in one of the vertical supports or 16 or within the central cross member 13. The connection of display, control unit and radio receiver unit with each other is preferably carried out by means of a cable connection, which is easily feasible within a door leaf. Alternatively, a radio link is also conceivable between these modules. Alternative embodiments of vertical and transverse beams may also be, for example, with only one or more vertical beams or only one or more transverse beams.
  • Fig. 4 shows a control device 17 within a hollow profile of the upper cross member 12. Also in the upper cross member 12, a WLAN module is housed as a radio receiving device 18. Alternatively, the WLAN module 18 may be housed in the central cross member 13 within a hollow profile of the carrier, as in the alternative representation bottom left in an enlarged view in the Fig. 4 shown. In Fig. 4 is also clearly visible how a display 5 is applied to the outside of the disc 8.
  • An information storage unit 25 is disposed in the door panel 3 below the WLAN module 18 in the vertical support 15 or 16. The accommodation can also take place elsewhere, for example within another cross member 12, 13, or 14 For example, the information storage unit may be accommodated in the area where the controller 17 for the display 5 is housed.
  • Fig. 5 shows a disc 30, in fragmentary representation. The disk 30 may be one of the previously described door or window panes. On the outside of the display device 31 is applied. For example, the display device 31 is a flexible LCD display. Between the disc 30 and the display device 31, the separation layer 32 is arranged. The separation layer 32 causes contents of the display device 31 to be viewed from the inside of the vehicle (in FIG Fig. 5 right side) are not visible from.
  • It can be arranged on the inside of the disc 30, a further display device, which in turn is provided with a release layer, so that display devices (31 and a not shown further) are arranged on both sides of the disc 30. Both display devices and separating layers would then be arranged mirror-symmetrically. And the separating layer 32, and the further separating layer, not shown here, would then be located between the two display devices.
  • The separation layer 32 may have a variable light transmittance. For example, the separation layer 32 is implemented as a variable transmittance glass in which the light transmittance can be changed by applying an electric voltage.

Claims (15)

  1. Rail vehicle (1), comprising
    a side area, comprising at least one door (2) with at least one door leaf (3), a side wall (20) and at least one window (4),
    at least one translucent display device (5, 10; 31) adapted to display variable visual information, the display device being arranged in the side region of the rail vehicle
    a separating layer (32) arranged behind the display device (31) or between two display devices so that the visual information is only visible from one viewing side.
  2. Rail vehicle according to claim 1, wherein the display device
    - Is inserted in the door leaf (3) or on a disc (30), which is part of the door leaf, is applied and / or
    - Is connected to the window (4), in particular on a window pane (6; 30) is applied, and / or
    - Is inserted in the side wall (20).

  9. Rail vehicle according to one of the preceding claims, wherein information can be transmitted wirelessly to the display device (5, 10).
