Description

  • The invention relates to a chair with a deformable seat shell, which forms a seat part and a backrest, and a frame, wherein the seat part via a first pivot and the backrest are connected via a second pivot to the frame, wherein the pivot joints by a deforming the Seat shell allow conditional rotation of the seat part and the backrest relative to the frame.
  • Such a chair is out of the DE 10 2011 001 811 A1 known. The frame of the chair disclosed therein comprises a foot portion and a seat base pivotally connected to the foot portion about a vertical axis. The seat base is connected to the seat part near the front edge of the seat via a first pivot which allows rotation about an axis of rotation oriented in the vertical direction of the chair. Furthermore, a backrest support is provided which comprises two L-shaped struts. In each case one end of the struts is rotatably mounted on each one end of a torsion bar of the seat base. The thus defined axis of rotation extends in the transverse direction of the chair and intersects the aligned in the vertical direction of rotation of the first rotary joint. The other ends of the struts are connected via a ball joint off-center with the backrest.
  • The US 2,745,468 discloses a chair having a one-piece seat pan, wherein a seat portion of the seat pan is connected to a frame of the chair via a first hinge which allows rotation about an axis of rotation directed transversely of the chair. The frame comprises an L-shaped backrest support, a strut of which serves to support and guide a back part of the seat shell. The chair is primarily intended to allow a tilting function about the axis of rotation of the first pivot, wherein the back part is to be moved together with the seat part of the seat. This is made possible by a corresponding longitudinal axial movable guide in the region of the connection of the back part with the backrest support. This guide comprises a guide sleeve connected to the back part, which on the back part associated with the strut Backrest support is movably guided.   • Based on this state of the art, the invention has the object underlying to provide a chair that the mobility of the DE 10 2011 001 811 A1 has known chair, but it is cheaper to produce.
  • This object is achieved by means of a chair according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments thereof are the subject of the further claims and will become apparent from the following description of the invention.

  • The embodiment of the chair according to the invention thus provides an arrangement of the two pivot joints connecting the seat shell to the frame in the sagittal plane of a user of the chair. This makes it possible to achieve the desired mobility in conjunction with the deformable seat shell, wherein the number of parts required for the formation of the frame in comparison to that of the DE 10 2011 001 811 A1 known chair is reduced. In particular, instead of the two, a backrest support forming struts, in the chair according to the DE 10 2011 001 811 A1 are connected via two pivot joints with a seat base and the backrest, a one-piece backrest support can be used, which is connected via only a rotary joint, which may be preferably in the form of a ball joint, connected to the backrest. In addition, it can be provided that the backrest support also integrates the first pivot joint, via which the frame is connected to the seat part of the seat shell.
  • Furthermore, a tilt mobility for the chair is created by the third pivot, which is regularly perceived by users as comfortable. In particular, it may be provided that the third pivot joint is spaced in the longitudinal direction of the chair from the first pivot, thus not defined by the first pivot, at least one axis of rotation and defined by the third pivot, at least one axis of rotation does not intersect.
  • Such a tilt mobility is perceived as particularly comfortable when reclining is associated with at least slight extension of the body. Accordingly, in the chair according to the invention may preferably be provided that this is adjustable between at least an upright first position and a reclined second position, wherein an angle between the seat part and the backrest in the second position is greater than in the first position.
  • Such an angular change between the seat part and the backrest can be realized in a structurally simple manner by the backrest support L-shaped or arc-shaped, wherein a first leg of the L-shaped Backrest support or a first half of the arcuate seat back support via the third hinge to the seat base and a second leg of the L-shaped backrest support or a second half of the arcuate backrest support is connected via the second pivot to the backrest.
  • In order to permit as far as possible deformation of the seat shell, it can preferably be provided that the first hinge allows rotation about at least one (possibly only this one) aligned in the vertical direction of the chair first axis of rotation. Likewise, it can be provided that the second rotary joint permits rotation about at least one (possibly only this one) aligned in the longitudinal direction of the chair second axis of rotation.
  • Here, the "vertical direction" of the chair is understood to mean any direction that extends from an underside of the chair (in particular a projection of the chair into a horizontally oriented plane arranged below the chair) in the direction of an upper side of the chair (in particular a projection of the chair in FIG a plane horizontally oriented above the chair).   • In a preferred embodiment of the chair according to the invention can be provided that the seat part is still connected via at least one bearing with the frame, wherein the bearing is designed such that this obstructs a rotation of the seat part about an aligned in the longitudinal direction of the chair axis. As a result, the seat shell is given stability in the region of the seat part, which hinders lateral tilting of the seat shell in the region of the seat front edge in the event of an off-center loading by the user.   • The bearing can be functionally integrated into the first pivot. However, it can be advantageous if the bearing is formed separately from the first rotary joint and in particular is arranged at a distance therefrom in the transverse direction of the chair. Particularly preferably, at least two such bearings can be provided, which are arranged spaced on both sides of the first pivot bearing.
  • A structurally simple and functionally advantageous embodiment of the bearing or bearings can provide that two bearing parts, one of which is connected to the frame and the other with the seat shell, are mutually displaceable in a plane extending in the transverse direction and longitudinal direction of the chair.
  • In order to allow as far as possible deformation of the seat, it may further be provided in the chair according to the invention that the first hinge in the comprehensive half of the seat edge, preferably in the third or quarter of the seat leading edge and particularly preferably in the fifth seat covering the seat leading edge (each related on the extension of the seat part in the longitudinal direction of the chair) of the seat part is arranged.
  • The same purpose may be served if the second pivot is located above the body center of gravity of a (norm) user. In this case, the second rotary joint can be arranged in particular in the half of the backrest edge having the backrest (relative to the extent of the backrest in the vertical direction of the chair).
  • For example, "(standard) user" means the adult P95 percentile.

  • This functionality of the chair can be structurally advantageously implemented when the seat part, in particular via the first pivot, is fixed to a cross member, wherein the cross member rotatably with a lever (in particular at one end of this lever) and the lever (in particular at its other end ) is rotatably connected to the seat base and wherein a rotational movement of the lever relative to the seat base is coupled via a rod with a rotational movement of the backrest support about the axis of rotation of the third pivot joint.
  • Again, to improve the comfort in the use of the chair, this may preferably be formed as a swivel chair, in which a connected via the first pivot to the seat part seat base of the frame is connected via a hinge with a foot part of the frame.
  • The seat of the chair may preferably be integrally formed, so that the seat part and the backrest (further preferably in one piece) merge into one another.
  • Alternatively, however, it can also be provided that the seat shell comprises a seat part and a backrest, which are designed as separate components, and a frame connecting the seat part and the backrest. The frame may preferably be arranged as centered with respect to the transverse direction of the chair, for example L-shaped or arcuate bar may be formed. In this case, it may further be preferred that the deformation of the seat shell is made possible or absorbed, in particular, by the frame. For example, an embodiment of the frame in the form of a (single or multilayer) leaf spring may be advantageous. Such an embodiment of the seat of the chair according to the invention makes it possible to form the seat part and the backrest as relatively rigid components, while the easily deformable frame ensures the deformability of the seat shell overall at relatively low forces.
  • Such a chair according to the invention can also be advantageously designed in such a way that the seat part in the longitudinal direction of the chair and / or the backrest in the vertical direction of the chair is / are slidably mounted on the frame. The displacement can be provided only temporarily after a release of a locking device. This allows the best possible adaptation of the seat to different body dimensions of users.

  • The seat is connected via two hinges 5, 6 with the frame 1. In this case, a first pivot 5 is arranged in the vicinity of the seat leading edge 7 of the seat shell 2. With respect to the transverse direction of the chair, the first pivot 5 is centered and thus positioned approximately in the sagittal plane of a user of the chair.   • A second pivot 6 connects the seat 2 in the region of the backrest 4 with a backrest support 12 of the frame 1. The second pivot 6 is centered with respect to the transverse direction of the chair and thus - as well as the first pivot 5 - approximately in the sagittal plane of a user of the chair. The second pivot 6 is designed as a ball joint.   • The FIGS. 14 and 15 show an embodiment of a chair according to the invention, which differs from that of the 8 and 9 differs in that the seat shell 2 is not integral but a plurality of parts. This comprises a seat part 3 and a backrest 4, which are formed as separate and spaced-apart components, which are interconnected via a frame. The frame is essentially that component of the seat 2, which allows the deformability of the seat 2. The frame is formed as a centrally disposed with respect to the transverse direction of the chair guide rail on which the seat part 3 and the backrest 4 are guided longitudinally displaceable. By such a shift and the possibility of the seat part 3 and the backrest 4 in different displacement positions by a (not shown) positively or to determine positively locking device allows an advantageous adaptation of the chair to differing body dimensions of users.

Claims (14)

  1. Chair comprising a deformable seat shell (2), which forms a seat part (3) and a backrest (4), and a frame (1), the seat part (3) being connected to the frame (1) by means of a first pivot joint (5) and the backrest (4) being connected to the frame by means of a second pivot joint (6), the pivot joints (5, 6) allowing a twisting of the seat part (3) and of the backrest (4) relative to the frame (1) caused by a deformation of the seat shell (2), and whereby the second pivot joint (6) is connected to the backrest (4) centrally in relation to the transverse direction of the chair, characterised in that a backrest support (12) of the frame (1), which support is connected to the backrest (4) by means of the second pivot joint (6), is rotatably connected by means of a third pivot joint (16) about an axis of rotation (17) which is oriented in the transverse direction of the chair to a seat base (8) of the frame (1) connected to the seat part (3) by means of the first pivot joint (5).
  2. Chair according to claim 1, characterised in that the first pivot joint (5) allows a twisting about a first axis of rotation (9) which is oriented in the vertical direction of the chair.
  3. Chair according to either claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the seat part (3) is connected to the frame (1) by means of at least one bearing (15), the bearing (15) being formed such that it hinders a twisting of the seat part (3) about an axis which is oriented in the longitudinal direction of the chair.
  4. Chair according to claim 3, characterised in that the bearing (15) is arranged at a distance from the first pivot joint (5) in the transverse direction of the chair, two bearing parts being able to be moved towards one another in a plane extending in the transverse direction and longitudinal direction of the chair.
  5. Chair according to at least one of the preceding claims, Chair according to claim 5, characterised in that it is adjustable between at least one upright first position and a backwardly tilted second position, an angle (α) between the seat part (3) and the backrest (4) being greater in the second position than in the first position.
  6. Chair according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the backrest support (12) is L-shaped or arched, a first leg of the L-shaped backrest support (12) or a first half of the arched backrest support being connected by means of the third pivot joint (16) to the seat base (8) and a second leg of the L-shaped backrest support (12) or a second half of the arched backrest support being connected by means of the second pivot joint (6) to the backrest (4).
  7. Chair according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the first pivot joint (5) allows a twisting of the seat part (3) about an axis of rotation (18) which is oriented in the transverse direction of the chair and/or the second pivot joint (6) allows a twisting of the backrest about an axis of rotation (19) which is oriented in the transverse direction of the chair.
  8. Chair according to at least one of the preceding claims characterised in that the frame (1) is designed such that a twisting of the backrest support (12) about the axis of rotation (17) of the third pivot joint (16) leads to a movement of a front edge of the seat (7) in the vertical direction of the chair.
  9. Chair according to claim 8, characterised in that the seat part (3) is fixed to a cross beam, the cross beam being connected to a lever (25) or a rod (23) and the lever (25) being rotatably connected to the seat base (8) and a rotational movement of the lever (25) relative to the seat base (8) by means of the rod (23) being coupled to a rotational movement of the backrest support (12).
  10. Chair according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the first pivot joint (5) is arranged in the half of the seat part (3) comprising a front edge of the seat (7).
  11. Chair according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the second pivot joint (6) is arranged above the centre of gravity of a user's body.
  12. Chair according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a seat base (8) of the frame (1) that is connected by means of the first pivot joint (5) to the seat part (3) is connected by means of a pivot joint (20) to a foot part (22) of the frame (1).
  13. Chair according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the seat shell (2) comprises a seat part (3), a backrest (4) and a frame (28) connecting the seat part (3) and the backrest (4).
  14. Chair according to claim 13, characterised in that the seat part (3) is movably mounted on the frame (28) in the longitudinal direction of the chair and/or the backrest (4) is movably mounted on said frame in the vertical direction of the chair.
