Definitions
- the invention relates to an ester having at least one sulfone group on the acid chain. Furthermore, a method for producing such an ester, as well as the use of the ester as a plasticizer for polymers.
- R 1 is a carbon chain having 7 to 25 carbon atoms
- the carbon chain R 1 has at least one sulfone group
- R 3 is an aliphatic radical having 1 to 8 carbon atoms. Since the sulfone group can not be bound to the omega C atom of the fatty acid or its ester, the sulfone group is therefore not incorporated into the acid chain as in US Pat. No. 3,028,416.
- the acid portion of the ester was derived from a vegetable oil. This can be seen for example on an ester mixture, which is a
- Has acid distribution as occurs in a vegetable oil.
- soybean oil or rapeseed oil or sunflower oil may be used as the source of the fatty acids, as well as other vegetable oils.
- the naturally occurring fatty acids (mixtures) are obtained, for example, by ester cleavage or transesterification of the vegetable oils.
- the sulfone group (s) are located at the carbon atoms which have a double bond in naturally occurring unsaturated fatty acids. So at the positions 9, 10, 12, 13, 15 and 16, if the carbon chain R 1 has the appropriate length.
- R 2 is a linear or branched radical having 1 to 9 carbon atoms.
- R 1 is a carbon chain having 1 1 to 21 carbon atoms.
- R 1 is a carbon chain of 17
- R 3 is an aliphatic radical having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. In one embodiment of the invention, the carbon chain R 1 has exactly one

Description
Ester gemäß der Formel I:
R3
0=S=0

Schema 2.

Produkt 4
Schema 4.

Hexanthiol an Methyloleat.

Tabelle 1 :
* erfindungsgemäßer Ester
Modus: Temperatur-Gradient
Start-Temperatur: 25 °C
End-Temperatur: 180 °C
Heiz/Kühlrate: 5 °C/min
Oszillations-Frequenz: 4-0,1 Hz Rampe logarithmisch
Kreisfrequenz Omega: 10 1/s
Anzahl Messpunkte: 63
Messpunktdauer: 0,5 min
Automatische Spaltnachführung F : 0 N
Konstante Messpunktdauer
Spaltweite 0,5 mm
Tabelle 5:
Prüfkörper-Nr. 1 4* 8*
Shore A 80 72 77
