Definitions
- the invention relates to a hallux valgus sandal for prevention and for the treatment of malpositions in the middle and forefoot, in particular the malpositions of the big toe called hallux valgus.
- Deformities in the middle and forefoot area in particular a pathological obliquity of the big toes, which is referred to as hallux valgus, has a variety of causes.
- malformations are congenital or hereditary;
- misalignments are caused by the wearing of false footwear or by the flattening of the longitudinal and transverse arch due to instability in the midfoot area, in particular by instability of the connective tissue.
- the transverse arch which is also referred to as splayfoot, the individual metatarsal or toe bones are fanned out radially.
- the metatarsal bone of the first ray i. H.
- the tendons of the big toe which in contrast to the other toes has an independent tendon apparatus, no longer run centrally over the great toe joint, but due to their predefined length lateral, i.e. outside of it.
- the big toe is thus pulled in an oblique, outward position.
- the formation of a hallux valgus is also reinforced by the decrease in the longitudinal arch, as due to this predominantly medial sinking anatomically caused a rotation of the middle or forefoot seen from above to the outside.
- a reference system centered on the center of the body is used in the description, as usual in anatomy. Accordingly defined inside or inside or medial always towards the body center or facing the other foot. In the medial direction means thus also in the direction of the other foot. With external or lateral in each case the side facing away from the body center is designated, so that the lateral direction of the body center and thus points away from the other foot.
- a metatarsal bone and its associated toe bones are also referred to as jets.
- the inner metatarsal bone and the inner toe bones arranged in front of it are regarded as the first ray.
- the individual rays are numbered ascending in the lateral direction so that the outer metatarsal bone and the associated toe bones arranged in front of it form the fifth ray.
- Various sandals for correcting and / or preventing hallux valgus disorders are known in the prior art.
- a sandal known which is preferably designed as a flip-flop pole.
- the flip-flop sandal has a shoe sole and a big toe receiving compartment for separately receiving the big toe separately from the other toes.
- the known sandal comprises a metatarsal bandage for supporting the metatarsus, which has lateral foot sole support sections, which are drawn from the side flanks of the upper shoe to the middle of the sole inwardly.
- the metatarsal bandage is centered on the shoe sole via a centering device.
- the midfoot area is applied substantially uniformly with pressure when worn from all sides, so that also the metatarsal bones are compressed undefined.
- the alignment of the midfoot area in relation to the shoe sole and the big toe, especially when lifting the lateral plantar edges is not clearly defined.
- the longitudinal axis of the foot may be displaced or rotated relative to the longitudinal axis of the sandal.
- a sandal for treating anatomical misalignments or misalignments while walking.
- the sandal comprises an annular tongue for receiving the big toe, which is connected to a shoe insole.
- the sandal comprises an upper shoe which encloses a part of the foot.
- the upper shoe has a fixed element which is attached to the inside of the upper shoe.
- the upper shoe also has an adjusting element, by means of which a force can be applied to the fixed element acting as a lever.
- the object of the present invention with respect to this prior art is to provide a sandal in which the metatarsal region is and remains perfectly aligned with the toe bone of the first jet during the running motion and in the one defined correction force for the prevention and / or treatment of misalignments is gently introduced into the foot.
- a midfoot belt when worn with the sandal, circumscribes the foot medial bone of the wearer of the sandal together with the soles of the foot.
- the midfoot strap is adjustable in its length.
- a pressure pad is arranged in the region of the midfoot in such a way that a laterally directed force can be exerted on the inner metatarsal bone by applying the middle foot belt over the pressure pad.
- the pressure pad is arranged in particular on the inside of the Mittelfußgurtes in the medial area of the sandal. Thus, when the sandal is worn, the pressure pad is located between the midfoot girdle and the metatarsal bone of the first jet.
- the sandal according to the invention is subdivided essentially into three areas in the longitudinal direction.
- the division into the areas is based on the foot of the wearer of the sandal. For an approximate indication of the ranges, however, it is only possible to resort to averaged values for the respective length of the range on the basis of a standard foot for the respective foot length or shoe size.
- At the back are the tarsal bones, which define the tarsal or hindfoot area of the sandal or sole element.
- the tarsal area includes in the heel area beginning of the heel bone and laterally slightly forward followed by the talus. In the direction of the toe in front of it are the cuboid bone and the navicular bone.
- the metatarsal bones which are also referred to as osseous metatarsals, follow longitudinally in front of the tarsal bones and define the metatarsus or metatarsus.
- the medial metatarsal bones tend to be slightly anterior to the tip of the toe, compared to the lateral metatarsals.
- the boundaries of the metatarsal area shift from the inside of the foot to the outside of the foot to the rear in the longitudinal direction of the foot.
- the toe or forefoot region is defined, which is defined by the two toe bones of the big toe and the three toe bones of the second, third, fourth and small toe, respectively. These three areas correspond approximately to one third of the total foot length.
- the pressure pad has an action length which is aligned essentially in the longitudinal direction of the foot. In the applied state, an effective surface of the pressure pad is brought into contact with the foot via this length of action.
- the length of the midfoot belt is preferably changed or shortened. As a rule, the length is shortened until the shoe, in particular the midfoot belt and the footbed, lies substantially against the midfoot, encloses the latter and the desired correction force is achieved.
- the action length of the pressure pad preferably corresponds to the midfoot area of the sandal, so that the pressure pad over the entire length of the metatarsal bone abuts this.
- a correction force in the lateral direction is applied to the metatarsal bone in its entire length. It is usually important to ensure that the correction force is not exerted directly on bone, especially on the bones of the great toe joint, but the force is initiated indirectly through the soft parts of the first metatarsal bone. This prevents pressure complaints and damage to the tissue.
- the correction force in the front region of the pressure pad engages in particular behind the metatarsophalangeal joint on the soft tissue medial to the metatarsal bone and extends backwards over the entire length of the seekingstoffknochens.
- the width of the Mittußußgurts on its inside preferably also extends over the length of action of the pressure pad. Thereby, the force which is introduced through the Mittelfußgurt in the pressure pad, introduced uniformly.
- the pressure pad is a three-dimensional element which is preferably arranged between the midfoot belt and the foot of the wearer of the sandal.
- the thickness of the pressure pad ie its extension from the midfoot belt in the direction of the foot, can vary depending on the application, therapy or the like.
- the pressure pad may be attached to the midfoot belt and / or sole member so that its location and orientation are clearly defined. Due to the design of the three-dimensional shape of the pressure pad, the pressure introduction and pressure distribution on the medial metatarsal bone is adjustable and changeable.
- the pressure pad is preferably integrated in flowing forms in the Mittelfußgurt, without causing a sharp edge.
- the pressure pad preferably has a greater thickness in the front region than in the rear region.
- Its shape may be wedge-shaped, convex or the like.
- the pressure pad may for example be convex and adapted to the arch of the foot. Abrupt changes in shape and pressure force jumps derived from this are to be avoided.
- the various regions of the pressure pad should accordingly form a contour with flowing transitions, so that the pressure force changes take place continuously, in particular at the ends of the pressure pad.
- the width of the Mittelfußgurtes is preferably decreasing from the inside out.
- the Mittelfußgurt in the area of the pressure pad on its maximum width. This improves the pressure introduction into the pressure pad.
- the Mittelfußgurt becomes narrower. This can also go into a raised sole edge of the sandal.
- a correspondingly raised sole edge can also be formed in the area of the pressure pad on the inner side of the sandal.
- the sandal has a trapezoidal or triangular recess in the midfoot belt.
- the recess preferably has the greatest extent on the inside, following the pressure pad, and narrows towards the outside. Sharp edged corners are to be avoided in the midfoot girth and recess to reduce load peaks caused by forces on the midfoot girdle.
- the metatarsal area extends obliquely backwards from inside to outside as viewed from above.
- the center of the midfootbelt is substantially parallel to the boundaries of the midfoot region. Accordingly, the center also extends from the inside of the foot to the foot outside to the rear.
- the center between the front and rear end of the belt is regarded as the middle of the middle foot belt on which the middle connection points of the midfoot belt are located, so that the center approximately corresponds to the center of gravity line in the longitudinal direction of the midfoot belt. Due to the oblique course of the middle of the midfoot belt, the middle connection point on the inside of the sandal is offset further forward than the middle connection point on the outside of the sandal.
- the midfoot belt is preferably changeable by a Velcro in its length. By shortening the length of the Mittelfußgurts this is tensioned so that in the Mittelfußgurt a tensile force in the applied state of the sandal is initiated. This correction force is deliberately introduced via the midfoot belt and the pressure pad onto the metatarsal bone of the first jet.
- tensioning means such as elastic elements or tension straps can be used with a corresponding closure such as a buckle.
- the hook-and-loop fastener is disposed on the outside of the sandal or midfoot belt.
- a first end of a hook and loop tape is incorporated into the sole element.
- a receptacle for the Velcro is arranged on the outside of the sandal, in particular on a raised sole edge.
- the free, second The end of the Velcro tape can be attached to the receptacle in various positions, so that a loop of variable length is formed over this, and thus the length of the Mittußußgurtes is changeable.
- the midfoot belt is formed as a medial and a lateral midfoot girdle element, wherein the change in length is varied over the size of the overlap.
- the two elements are connected to each other with variable overlap in different positions, for example via push buttons or a hook and loop fastener.
- the big toe abutment is designed as a big toe loop.
- the big toe loop encloses the big toe in the applied state of the sandal at least partially circular.
- the big toe loop is U-shaped and connected to the sole element at two points.
- the big toe abutment can preferably be adjusted, in particular with regard to its position and / or length. As a result, the support effect is set to the big toe.
- the length is, for example, adjustable via a Velcro fastener.
- Various designs are analogous to the adjustment of Mittelfußgurtes formed.
- the big toe abutment can also be designed as a bridge on which the big toe rests.
- the footbed of the Hallux Valgus sandal is preferably designed as an orthopedic footbed.
- An orthopedic footbed has in particular a longitudinal and / or transverse arch, as well as receptacles or troughs for the toes.
- the footbed may also include one or more pads.
- a pad is usually an elevation of the footbed for medical purposes.
- the at least one pad is a proprioceptive pad and designed according to the teaching of Golgi, so that the pad exerts such pressure on the foot, which serves to regulate the muscle tension.
- the muscles should be influenced in such a way that a treatment of the hallux valgus is supported.
- the roll-off slots are often arranged so that they support a natural rolling motion.
- the slots are arranged below the natural rolling axis of the toes.
- the roll-off slots preferably run parallel to the natural roll-off axis.
- the Hallux valgus sandal according to the invention can be produced from various known materials which are customary in the prior art in the production of sandals, such as, for example, plastic, cork, leather and the like.
- the sole element can further Have constituents such as, for example, damping-absorbing layers or elements, for example, of EVA or the like.
- outsole, big toe abutment and parts of the Mittelfußgurtes are integrally formed of plastic.
- the one-piece design can be produced, for example, by baking plastic granules or injection molding or foaming plastics.
- a material similar to Crocs sandals is usable. Such a material has a certain inherent elasticity.
- the adjusting mechanism eg. The Velcro fastener, made in one piece from plastic.
- the adjusting mechanism may be formed during manufacture as Einlegteil and is firmly connected in the manufacturing process with the plastic.
- the footbed and / or the pressure pad may be formed as separate parts and are thus interchangeable.
- the footbed is formed separately. The footbed is inserted into a recess in the outsole and held in position by friction.
- the footbed is adaptable to the wearer and, moreover, can be manufactured from a different material or from a different material mix than the outsole.
- the sole is slit in the area between the first and second toes from the front end, so that the big toe abutment or the big toe loop can be formed integrally with the outsole and can be guided through the footbed.
- the elements are adaptable to the individual shape and needs of the wearer of the sandal.
- the size of the correction force is adaptable to the severity of the hallux valgus deformity by the size and shape of the pressure pad.
- individual peculiarities of the foot can be considered via a corresponding footbed.
- the pressure pad and / or the footbed is formed integrally with the outsole, the big toe abutment and parts of the midfoot girth. Even with such a configuration, further components of the sandal can be incorporated, for example, as Einlegmaschine in the manufacturing process. This provides an effective, robust and cost-effective sandal for treating hallux valgus deformities.
- the hallux valgus sandal according to the invention improves the prevention and / or treatment of hallux valgus deformities.
- Therapy is based on the principle "from the back to the front". This means that a treatment of the malposition does not begin only in the toe area, but already begins at the metatarsus, ie "behind” and continues "forward" in the toe area.
- the pressure pad By the pressure pad, the correction force on the metatarsal bone is targeted and gently adjustable.
- the introduction of the correction force into the respective foot can be further improved.
- the adjustment of the correction force is carried out in particular by Change the length of the midfoot belt.
- a tensile force is built up over the midfoot belt, which is specifically transmitted to the metatarsal bone via the pressure pad, ie defined in size and direction.
- This correction force counteracts the great toe opponent and causes the big toe not drifting with the metatarsal bone in the lateral direction, but is straightened along the axis of the first beam.
- the spreading of the metatarsal bone is counteracted and applied via the great toe abutment a medial abutment force on the big toe. This leads to an effective treatment or prevention of hallux valgus disease.
- a Hallux valgus sandal 1 according to the invention is shown.
- the sandal 1 comprises a sole element 10 with an outsole 12 (cf. Fig. 6
- the sandal 1 and the footbed 14 are essentially subdivided into three areas, namely a tarsal area 52, a midfoot area 54 and a toe area 56, which correspond to the areas of the human foot.
- a foot or rankingskelett 50 shown how it is absorbed when wearing the sandal 1 of this.
- the tarsal bones 52a are arranged (cf. Fig. 3 ).
- the sandal 1 also has a midfoot belt 20.
- the midfoot belt 20 is arranged substantially in the midfoot region 54 of the sandal 1.
- the Mittußußgurts 20 is integrally formed on the Sandaleinnenseite with the sole element 10.
- the midfoot strap 20 has a Velcro strap 22.
- the Velcro tape 22 is embedded in the sole member 10 medial to Sohlenau dichrome and leads out of this.
- the Velcro attachment to the brine element 10 is located on applied sandal 1 below the lateral area of the metatarsus.
- the Velcro strip is passed through an opening as a deflection 26 in Mittelfußgurt 20 and can be attached via a Velcro recording 24 on the outside of the sole member of the sandal 1.
- a loop is formed by the Velcro tape 22, over which the length of the Mittelfußgurtes 20 is flexibly adjustable to change.
- the Mittelfußgurt 20 is arranged according to its name in the midfoot region of the sandal 1 and wraps around in conjunction with the sole member 10 and the footbed 14, the foot in the worn state in the midfoot region 54 circular.
- the metatarsal bones 54a can be contracted by reducing the length of the midfoot belt 20.
- the width of the foot strap 20 on the inside of the sandal 1 corresponds approximately to the length of the midfoot region 54 of the sandal 1. In the lateral direction, the width of the midfoot belt 20 decreases. In addition, the midfoot strap 20 is offset at its lateral end in the foot longitudinal direction to the rear with respect to its medial end. Thus, the neutritzgurt 20 extends substantially parallel to the midfoot region 54 of the foot or the sandal 1.
- the Mittelfußgurt 20 is formed with a recess 28 which has a trapezoidal shape. As a result, the force is optimized with minimal weight or with minimal material costs.
- a pressure pad 30 is arranged in the region of the midfoot belt 20.
- the pressure pad 30 is formed integrally with the inside of the midfoot belt 20 and the footbed 14.
- the pressure pad 30 lies on the length of action L on the inside of the foot.
- the pressure pad 30 is, as in the plan view in FIG Fig. 3 shown, thereby formed substantially wedge-shaped, wherein it has a greater thickness in the front region in the lateral direction than in the rear region.
- the pressure pad 30 is located between the midfoot belt 20 and the inner metatarsal bone 54a, ie, the metatarsal bone 54a of the first beam when wearing the sandal 1.
- a correction force F k is exerted on the metatarsal bone 54a of the first beam via the pressure pad 30.
- the correction force F k acts essentially in the lateral direction.
- the spread ie the misalignment of the metatarsal bones 54a, in particular the metatarsal bone 54a of the first jet, and thus also the hallux valgus, is counteracted.
- Due to the wedge-shaped design of the pressure pad 30, the correction force F k in the front region of the midfoot 54 is higher than in the rear region.
- the anterior force application point is placed in the area of the soft tissue behind the big toe base joint.
- the pressure pad 30 or the effective length L is formed substantially over the entire length of the midfoot region 54 of the sandal 1 and the metatarsal bone 54a of the first steel.
- the big toe is laterally supported by a big toe abutment 40, which is formed as a big toe loop 42.
- the loop 42 is substantially semicircular, as in FIG Fig. 4 shown, and wraps around the big toe in conjunction with the footbed 14 circular.
- the great-toe loop 42 counteracts a lateral displacement of the big toe, which is in particular due to the application of a lateral correction force F k on the metatarsal bone 54a of the first jet via the pressure pad 30.
- the correction force F k may be applied to the metatarsal bone 54a of the first beam and an opposite force F w to the toe bones 56a of the first beam to counteract and correct for hallux valgus malalignment.
- the correction force F k can be adjusted over the length of the Mittelfußgurtes 20 and the length of the Velcro strip 22 from the carrier itself.
- the footbed 14 is as in Fig. 1 and Fig. 6 shown, anatomically shaped and has a plurality of pads 16, ie elevations in the area of the mid and hind foot on.
- a retrocapital and a hallux pad 16a, 16b are arranged according to the teaching of Golgi in order to influence the network of nerves to regulate the muscle tension.
- the retrocapital pad 16a is located in the metatarsal region across the entire width and exerts a pressure on the tendons of the toes extending below the ankle skeleton. The pressure on the tendons leads to a relaxation of the toe flexor muscles. This relaxing effect is reinforced in the medial area of the midfoot by a hallux pad 16b.
- the Hallux pad 16b when worn, creates additional pressure on the tendon of the great toe, which is below the skeleton. Furthermore, a valgus helix 16c is arranged in the medial region of the footbed 14 in the longitudinal direction behind the Hallux pad 16b. Due to its position in the medial hindfoot area, this has an activating effect on the longitudinal vaulting musculature. As a result, the longitudinal arch is erected.
- the outsole 12 points at your bottom, as in Fig. 5 shown, roll-off slots 18 in the transverse direction.
- the rolling slots 18 are offset parallel to a natural rolling axis of the foot down.
- the sandal 1 is essentially made in one piece from plastic. Only the Velcro 22 is incorporated as Einlegteil by one end of the Velcro strip 22 is firmly connected to the sole element 10. In addition, the sandal 1 on its outer side a receptacle 24 for the Velcro tape 22, which is also connected as Einlegteil fixed to the sandal 1.
- the Velcro recording 24 is formed as a felt with hooks and Velcro 22 as a loop tape.
