Claims (15)

  1. Self-propelled road milling machine (1) for processing road surfaces (2),
    - with a machine frame (8) supported by a height-adjustable traveling gear unit (4),
    - with a milling drum (12) mounted to rotate in a milling drum housing (10),
    - with a milling drum drive (14) for the milling drum (12), and
    - with a height-adjustable scraper blade (64) in the milling track (68) of the milling drum (12), said scraper blade closing the milling drum housing towards the rear,
    characterized in that
    the scraper blade is designed in such a manner that, during the milling, laterally in the milling track (68) of the milling drum (12), the scraper blade lies resiliently against the milling edge (70) of the milling track (68), said milling edge extending essentially orthogonal to the road surface (2).
  2. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the scraper blade (64) comprises, on both lateral ends, a respective movable blade element (74) which, on the lower edge (78), terminates essentially flush with the scraper blade (64) and is height-adjustable together with the same.
  3. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with claim 2, characterized in that the blade elements (74) are adjustable, against an initial tension, parallel to the scraper blade (64) and the milling drum axis for dynamic adjustment of the scraper blade width during the milling operation.
  4. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with any one of claims 2 or 3, characterized in that resilient pre-tensioning devices (76) pretension the respective blade elements (74) parallel to the scraper blade (64) and the milling drum axis against the milling edges (70) of the milling track (68), said milling edges extending essentially orthogonal to the road surface (2).
  5. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with claim 4, characterized in that the pre-tensioning devices (76) comprise piston-cylinder elements which can be pre-tensioned hydraulically.
  6. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with claim 4 or 5, characterized in that the pre-tensioning devices (76) are adjustable in terms of the initial tension force.
  7. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the milling drum housing, with one front end, terminates nearly flush with a lateral outer side (26, 28) of the machine frame (8), the so-called zero-clearance side, in order to enable milling as close along edges or obstacles as possible.
  8. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that a transport conveyor device (18) acting together with the milling drum housing (10) transports away the milled material worked off by the milling drum (12) towards the front.
  9. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that front and rear traveling gear unit axles of the traveling gear unit as seen in the direction of travel are provided and that the milling drum housing (10) is arranged at the machine frame (8) between the front and rear traveling gear unit axles.
  10. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the scraper blade (64) is pivotable upwards.
  11. Self-propelled road milling machine in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the milling drum housing is movable transverse to the direction of travel.
  12. Method for processing road surfaces by milling the road surface with a milling drum of a road milling machine and stripping the milled material remaining in the milling track created by the milling drum by means of a scraper blade,
    characterized in that,
    for dynamic adjustment of the width of the scraper blade (64) to the milling track during the milling operation, the scraper blade (64), laterally in the milling track (68), lies resiliently against the milling edges (70) of the milling track (68), said milling edges extending essentially orthogonal to the road surface (2).
  13. Method in accordance with claim 12, characterized in that, on both lateral ends, a respective blade element (74) movable parallel to the scraper blade (64) and the milling drum axis is adjusted against an initial tension for dynamic adjustment of the scraper blade width during the milling operation.
  14. Method in accordance with claim 13, characterized in that the initial tension is generated hydraulically.
  15. Method in accordance with any one of claims 13 to 14, characterized in that the initial tension is adjustable.
