Abstract

The present invention refers to an innovative line of multiple function sockets by integrating a reduced dimensions radio television mechanism which incorporates a coaxial cable quick fixing system that allows an easy installation on the radio television mechanism, thus avoiding the tightening of screws and the use of tools. Besides this characteristic, the conception of the entry location of the coaxial cable allows it to be applied only with the core bared, being the fundamental contact with the mesh assured upon the insertion of the coaxial cable by a spike (16) in the interior of the entry lock cylinder (14) in the radio television mechanism. As for the assembly of the mechanism, this also integrates innovative solutions for the assembly of the frame of the radio television mechanism is achieved by the tightening of screws (11) which guarantee not only the correct accommodation of the components in its interior but also the contact of the printed circuit board (PCB) (7) with the entry contact plating (8) and the frame (10), thus avoiding welding points as it happens with the other existing systems.

Description

DESCRIPTION
MULTIPLE FUNCTION SOCKET
Technical Field
The present invention refers to an innovative line of multiple function sockets by integrating a radio television mechanism with reduced dimensions which incorporates a coaxial cable quick fixing system without use of tools and without the need to bare the conductive mesh of the coaxial cable. In addition to this fixing system, the radio television mechanism presents an innovative concept of assembly since the frame assembly is made through the tightening of screws which ensure not only the proper accommodation of the components in its interior but also the contact of the printed circuit board (PCB) with the entry plating and with the frame, therefore simplifying the assembly and allowing the attainment of a compact mechanism when compared to the ones existing in the market, as it will be shown bellow.
State of the Art
The multiple function sockets available in the market differ from the invention by being based on a conventional radio television socket that includes a fixing ring to the equipment box integrated in its own structure being the computer and/or telephone connectors fixed to this one by fit or by direct screwing to the radio television socket or fixed to the socket embellisher .
These multiple function sockets existing in the market arise as a simple solution for application in a equipment box of different DVI mechanisms.
However, they have not been structured in a way to allow an easy cabling access both to the radio television socket as to the type RJ45 (computer) and/or RJ11 (telephone) connectors, thus implying bendings of said cables which makes more difficult the installation and may result in losses on the signals received in the referred mechanisms, besides being necessary the use of tools both in the cables installation, namely the coaxial cable, and in the fixation of the connectors to the radio television socket and to the socket embellisher.
As for the assembly of said radio television sockets, there are two solutions for fixing the PCB to the frame, either by welding or by screwing, thus ensuring the fixation and mass contact. The entry contact platings are always welded to the PCB. This way implies a greater use of this process in the assembly making it more expensive, besides not allowing an easy dismantlement when by any reason it becomes obsolete. The screwing or welding for the fixation of the PCB to the frame further implies the existence of screw lock cylinders or bolts for the welding which makes the frames bigger and more complex, not enabling the small dimensions in obtained the present invention. Description of the Invention
The present invention refers to a line of multiple function sockets comprising a compact dimensions radio television mechanism, that uses fixation by screws (11) between the frame components (1 and 10) to secure and position all the components of its interior, namely the clamping spring (2) existing in one of the output lock cylinders, the insulating plastic component (3) that is situated between the frame lid (1) and the core, the core itself which is composed by PCB (7) and output contact platings (4, 5 and 6) and the set composed by the entry contact plating (8) and the plastic component that supports it (9) and insulates it from the base of the frame (10) .
With this assembly simplification the mass contact of the PCB with the frame by welding, fixating bolts riveting or fixation by screws as well as the welding of the entry contact with the PCB is eliminated because the tightening of the screws compresses the PCB (7) against the frame (17) and the entry contact plating (18), thus reducing the production costs and allowing the simplification of the frame which leads to the achievement of a compact mechanism.
As for the fixation of the coaxial cable to the mechanism, it is done through a quick clamping system. For the installation of the coaxial cable it is enough to bare the core, which enables time saving in comparison with sockets that need to bare the core and the contact mesh of the coaxial cable.
After the preparation of the coaxial cable, it is inserted in a existing lock cylinder (14) on the base of the socket frame (10) which comprises a spike (16) in its interior. Upon the insertion of the cable, the spike (14) stays lodged between the exterior covering and the conductive mesh of the coaxial cable, making contact with it. After the positioning of the coaxial cable it is enough to clip a plastic component (12) which comprises a fixation plating (13) , in such way that, in the end of the clipping, it goes through the openings (15) existing in the lock cylinder (14) of the base of the frame (10) of the mechanism and tears up the exterior covering of the coaxial cable in such way that it fixates itself to the mechanism, thus enabling the conductivity of the coaxial cable mesh with the spike (16) as well as of the core with the entry contact plating (8).
The present multiple function socket also allows the correct accommodation in the equipment box of the several cables that connect to the radio television mechanism and to the DVI mechanisms.
In this process of insertion of the cable in the mechanism, the core enters the plating (8) in the interior of the base lock cylinder (14) and insulated from it by a plastic component (9). This plating (8) acts as a spring which allows the passage of the core and enables the conduction. To proceed to the cable uninstallation it is enough to move back the plastic component (12) that integrates the fixation plating (13) and the cable is released by simply pulling it in the opposite direction of the insertion, since that the entry contact plating (8) does not require any unlocking.
With the previously mentioned innovations, this radio television mechanism can be extremely compact, which allows its accommodation in an equipment box with other DVI mechanisms such as a simple (Fig. 5) or double (Fig. 6) type RJ45 (computer) connector as well as optical fiber adaptors (Fig. 5) of the type SC Simplex or LC Duplex, in a disposition that enables not only an easy access for the cables installation but also a correct accommodation of said cable at the bottom of the equipment box after the installation, thus obtaining a line of multiple function sockets adjusted to the actual necessities of the market.
