Description

The invention relates to a device for dividing plate-shaped workpieces, in particular for cutting tiles, with a base plate for placing the workpiece and with a guide along which a cutting tool is displaceable in a cutting line, with a fixable to the base plate functional element for discharging when dividing resulting transverse forces in the base plate, wherein the functional element between the guide and the base plate arranged along the cutting line and slidable in arbitrary positions along the cutting line can be fixed and stops to invest a cutting tile and a channel with facing flanks forms through which the cutting line so that the dicing tool passes through the channel as it moves along the guide.

From the US 5,373,835 a tile cutter according to the preamble of claim 1 is known, which has a functional element which can be brought along a break-rib below a guide in different displacement positions. The functional element forms a corner recess for inserting a corner of a tile to be divided diagonally. The apex of the Eckaussparung lies in a limited by two flanks channel through which runs the cutting line and can pass through a dicing tool.

The EP 1074365 A2 describes a tile cutter with a displaceable along a break rib functional element having a stop. The EP 0 501 053 A1 describes a tile cutter with a base plate having two ends facing away from each other. At each end of the Base plate is a rail support, between which two guide rails extend along which a tool carrier is displaceable. The tool carrier carries a cutter carrier at the end of a cutting wheel sits. The cutter carrier is pivotable about a pivot axis that is transverse to the cutting line. If a tile is cut with such a tool, the cutting wheel runs over the edge of the tile, wherein a compression spring is tensioned. If the cutting wheel runs on a tile edge which runs obliquely to the cutting line, as happens in a diagonal cut, the cutting wheel carrier is subjected to a force component transverse to the cutting line, which can lead to lateral deflection of the cutting wheel. This force component can also cause a shift of resting on the base tile across the cutting line.

The DE 37 02 239 A1 and the US 5,169,045 show tile cutting devices with a functional element which can be fixed to the base plate in different positions and with the lateral forces can be derived in the base plate.

The invention has for its object to provide measures with which the diagonal cut function is improved.

The problem is solved by the invention defined in claim 1. The dependent claims represent advantageous developments of the invention. According to the invention, the channel flanks extend beyond the upper side of the tile resting against the stops. The functional element can absorb the transverse forces arising during a diagonal cut. The functional element is displaceable between the guide and the base plate along the cutting line and there - so to speak, below the guide - fixed in freely selectable positions along the cutting line. The functional element has a channel through which the cutting tool can dip as it moves along the cutting line. The channel may have a U-shaped cross-section. The functional element forms guide flanks, along which a carrier carrying the cutting tool, in particular an arm carrying a cutting wheel, can slide. The leading edges are formed by walls of the channel through which the dicing tool can dip. The channel walls are formed by accumulations of material which may have breakaway elements pointing away from the cutting line. The channel forms a trench with two guide flanks through which at least the cutting tool passes when displacing the tool carrier. A lying in the section line portion of the functional element forms a corner stop for receiving the corner of a tile. The arm carrying the cutting wheel may be pivotally mounted on a tool carrier which may be slid along the guide formed by rails. The pivot axis about which the arm is pivotally extends transversely to the direction of extension of the guide, which extends in the cutting direction. The lower, free end of the cutting wheel bearing arm is preferably between two guide edges. Between the two guide flanks preferably extends a trench, through which the cutting wheel-bearing end of the arm can move during the displacement of the tool carrier along the guide. Runs the cutting wheel approximately at a diagonal cut against an oblique to the cutting edge of a tile to be cut, the cutting wheel is lifted against the force of a spring until it is acted upon by the tensioned spring rests on the top of the tile to produce a score , As a result of the obliquely running edge, a force component oriented transversely to the cutting direction, which acts on the cutting wheel carrier, is formed. If the latter is made of plastic or another elastic material, the cutter carrier tends to swerve laterally. A tendency to dodge sideways can also occur in a bearing play the pivot bearing or be justified in a bearing clearance of the leadership of the tool carrier along the guide. The two guide flanks running parallel to one another in the cutting direction prevent lateral evasive movement during the casserole of the cutting wheel on the edge of the tile edge running obliquely to the cutting line. To ensure that the guiding function is performed during the entire phase of the upward movement of the cutting wheel, the guide flanks continue over the top of the tile. They continue according to the invention in the form of lugs which extend over the top of the tile when the tile rests against one or more stops of the functional element. The functional element fulfills the function of a guide element or of a guide flank carrier. According to the invention it is provided that the functional element forms one or more stops to fix a tile on the base plate. On the base plate is preferably a first stop carrier. This fixed stop carrier has a transverse stop to which a side surface of a tile can be applied if a cross-section extending transversely to this edge edge is to be produced. The fixed stop carrier preferably also has a particular formed by a recess Overlay application. The recess is located in the cutting line. A corner of the tile to be cut can be placed in it so that this corner is fixed in the cutting line. The functional element may have a corner stop opposite this corner stop, which is likewise formed by a recess into which an opposite corner of the tile can be inserted such that the cutting line runs through the two opposite corners of the tile. In a further development of the invention, the base plate has a stop carrier, which is in particular formed by a rail which extends transversely to the cutting direction. An angle stop is slidably attached to this rail. The angle stop has a stop edge, which has, for example, a 45 ° angle to the cutting direction. The functional element has an angle stop flank which runs parallel to this stop flank. Preferably, the functional element is formed with respect to the cut line folding symmetry, so that it forms two angle stop edges. The functional element exercises the function of a stop element in this variant. The functional element is in particular a movable stop carrier. Preferably, the functional element is designed so that it is both a guide edge carrier and a stop carrier. In order to adapt the position of the functional element to the different length or wide tiles, it is held in the direction of the cutting line slidably on the base plate. It can be moved in the cutting direction along the base plate. In its position of use, it is tied by means of a clamping device on the base plate in a non-displaceable position. The clamping device may comprise clamping claws, which can be clamped by means of clamping screws against the underside of the edge of the base plate. The clamping claws are designed so that they tie the functional element linearly displaceable to the base plate in a released position of the clamping screws. The functional element may consist of plastic. But it can also be made of metal. The functional element can be a carrier of spare cutting tools. It may in particular have one or more receiving troughs in which spare cutting wheels are attached.

In the embodiment, it is a tile cutter, as in a non-prepublished DE 20 2012 102 789 is described.

The tile cutter has two spaced rail supports 22, which are respectively mounted on the facing away from each other ends of a slender, in the middle of a crush bar 21 having base plate 1. The rail supports 22 hold the base plate 1 in a distance to the ground. The rail supports 22 thus form the feet for the tile cutting device. Above the base plate 1, two guide rails 2 each having a U-profile extend parallel to the extension direction of the crushing web 21. The crushing web 21 defines a cutting line so that the guide rails 2 extend in the cutting direction. The two U-shaped guide rails 2 each support guide rollers 26 of a displaceable between the guide rails 2 tool carrier 4. The tool carrier 4 has a handle for displacement of the tool carrier 4 along the guide rails 2. The handle can also be pivoted about a handle pivot axis to a Lowering punch 38.

From the bottom of the tool carrier 4 protrudes a Schneidradträger 15. The cutting wheel carrier 15 is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis on the tool carrier 4. The pivot axis is transverse to the cutting direction. It is also provided a compression spring, not shown, which is tensioned during pivoting of the Schneidradträgers 15 and which develops a force with which the cutting wheel is pressed against the top of a tile 30 to be cut, so that the cutting wheel 3 in the top of the tile 30 a Notch scribes when the tool carrier 4 is displaced along the guide rail 2. The cutting wheel carrier 15 forms a downwardly projecting arm, which biases the abovementioned compression spring when the tool carrier 4 is displaced in the cutting direction. If the tool carrier 4 is displaced counter to the cutting direction, the cutting wheel carrier 15 can pivot in the opposite direction, so that the cutting wheel 3 can roll over the top side of the tile without load.

The FIGS. 14 to 16 show the functional element 8. The functional element has a relation to the section line folding symmetrical shape. The functional element 8 can be placed on the upwardly facing top of the base plate 1. It then lies between the guide rails 2 and the Base plate 1. The functional element 8 has two clamping claws 12, which engage under the edge 13 of the base plate 1 (see FIG. 6 ). The clamping claws 12 can be brought by means of clamping screws 11 in a clamping position in which the functional element 8 is immovably tied to the base plate 1. If the clamping screws 11 are released, the functional element 8 can be displaced along the section line, that is to say in the extension direction of the crushing web 21. The functional element 8 rests on the breaking web 21.

The functional element 8 has two mutually facing guide flanks 28, between which a channel extends, which is referred to below as a trench. In the middle of the trench extends a notch 39, which extends in the assembled state of the functional element 8 in the section line. The distance between the two guide flanks 28 in the exemplary embodiment corresponds to the width of the cutter wheel carrier 15, so that the cutter wheel carrier 15 can be pushed through the trench between the two guide flanks 28 with minimal lateral clearance. The two guide flanks 28 thus form the two side walls of a trench, which run parallel to each other.

In the cutting direction in front of the guide flanks 28, the trench has a funnel-shaped widening, which is formed by detection flanks 29.

The functional element 8 has in each case at an angle of 45 ° to the cutting direction, ie to the notch 39 extending angle stop edges 10, against which a peripheral edge 33 of a tile to be cut can be applied (see. FIGS. 9 and 10 ). The two imaginary extensions of the angle stop flanks 10 intersect in the cutting line. There is also a corner recess with two mutually at a 90 ° angle flanks of a corner stop 9. The imaginary extensions of the angle stop edges 10 are surmounted by projections 24 and lugs 25. The noses 25 form in the cutting direction lying end portions of the guide flanks 28. The guide flanks 28 thus protrude in the cutting direction on the corner stop 9 and the Winkelanschlagflanken 10 addition.

In the cutting direction in front of the guide flanks 28, the functional element 8 forms a semicircular free space. The semicircular space is flanked on both sides by mounting wings, each mounting wing carries a clamping screw 11. In the attachment wings are also troughs 37, in which spare cutting wheels 36 are attached. The functional element 8 is a combination element in the exemplary embodiment. The functional element 8 not only forms a slidable on the base plate 1 stop carrier. The functional element 8 also fulfills the function of a guide element displaceable on the base plate 1 for the cutting wheel carrier 15. It is thus a stop / guide carrier or stop / guide slide. The functional element 8 can be positioned on the base plate 1 in a position dependent on the size of the tile to be divided.

Die Anschlagkante 23 verläuft somit parallel zur Winkelanschlagflanke 10.The device has a fixedly connected to the base plate 1 stop element 5. The stop element 5 has a corner stop 7 in the form of a recess. The corner stops 7, 9 are located in the section line. The diagonally opposite corners 31, 32 of a tile 30 to be divided can rest against them, so that a diagonal cut running through the corners 31, 32 can be produced with the cutting wheel 3. The stop element 5 also has a transverse to the cutting line, ie transverse to the crush bar 21 stop edge. Furthermore, the stop element 5 is a carrier of a rail 16 which projects laterally transversely to the cutting direction of the base plate 1. The FIGS. 1 to 9 show an angle stop 6, which is displaceable along the rail 16. By means of a clamping screw 19, the angle stop 6 can be fixed in movement to the rail 16. The angle stop 6 has a stop edge 23 which extends at a 45 ° angle to the cutting direction. The stop edge 23 thus runs parallel to the angle stop edge 10th

In one in the FIGS. 11 to 13 variant shown, a second stop carrier is provided which forms a second rail 17. The two rails 16, 17 are each attached directly adjacent to the rail support 22 on the base plate 1 and extend parallel to each other transversely to the cutting direction. A longitudinal stop 18 has at its two ends in each case offsets 20 which are fastened by means of clamping screws 19 to the rails 16,17. The longitudinal stop 18 can be fixed with its stop edge 27 in a direction parallel to the cutting direction on the two rails 16, 17 (see FIG. 12 ). The sliding connections between the ends 20 of the longitudinal stop 18 and the rails 16, 17 are designed so that the stop edge 27 can be brought to an angle of 15 ° to the cutting direction (see FIG. 13 ). The stop edge 27 can be offset by angles up to 15 ° to the cutting direction both in the positive and in the negative angular direction.

Die Funktionsweise der Vorrichtung ist die folgende:The operation of the device is the following:

The FIGS. 1 to 5 show a first application in which a rectangular tile 30 having opposite corners 31, 32 is to be provided with a diagonal cut through the two corners 31, 32. For this purpose, a first corner 31 of the tile 30 is applied to the corner stop 7 of the stop element 5. The opposite corner 32 is brought into the cutting line 21. Then, the functional element 8, which here exercises the function of a stop slider, relocated to the corner 32 until the corner 32 abuts the corner stop 9. The tile 30 is now fixed to the base plate 1 both in the cutting direction and in the transverse direction.

Then, the tool carrier 4 is moved from a position in the cutting direction rearward of the functional element 8 in the direction of the corner 32. In this case, the cutting wheel carrier 15 first slides through the clearance between the detection edges 29 in the trench between the guide edges 28. The cutting wheel 3 passes through the notch 39 until the cutting wheel 3 meets the corner 32. The FIG. 5 shows dash-dotted the various positions of the Schneidradträgers 15, wherein the function of the detection flanks 29 for centering the Schneidradträgers 15 is indicated by the fact that the Schneidradträger 15 is shown in a transfer position to the cutting line. The two facing away from each broad side of the Schneidradträgers 15 are guided on the facing each other guide flanks 28. Between the guide edge 28 and the side wall of the Schneidradträgers 15 facing them there is a minimal play of movement. If the cutting wheel 3 strikes the corner 31, the cutting wheel carrier 15 is slightly pivoted, with a compression spring, not shown, being tensioned. Possibly occurring lateral forces on the cutting wheel carrier 15 are derived in the guide flanks 28. The guide flanks 28 hold the cutting wheel 3 in the cutting line. Possibly applied to the tile 30 transverse forces are derived in the flanks of the corner stop 9. Only when the cutting wheel 3 completely rests on the top of the tile 30 and has moved there a small distance, wherein it cuts a notch in the surface of the tile 30, leaves the cutter support 15 extending between the two lugs 25 portion of the guide flanks 28th Of the FIG. 5 It can be seen that the tabs 25 protrude above the top of the tile 30.

After the diagonal cut the tile 30 is broken in a known manner, being displaced by pivoting the handle mounted on the tool holder 4 a breaking punch 38 down.

The FIGS. 7 to 10 show a second operation of the tile cutter according to the invention for making an oblique cut. Here, the oblique cut should not pass through the two corners 31, 32. Rather, the cutting wheel 3 is intended to accumulate on a marginal edge 33 of the tile 30 running obliquely to the cutting direction. For this purpose, the marginal edge 33 'lying opposite this marginal edge 33 is placed against the stop edge 23 of the angle stop 6. A corner 31 can be supported on the rail 16. The peripheral edge 33 'opposite peripheral edge 33 abuts against the angle stop edge 10. For this purpose, the functional element 8 is displaced into a corresponding spacing position relative to the stop element 5 and tied to the base plate 1 by means of the clamping device 11, 12, 13. Again, the functional element 8 initially performs the function of a stopper slide. Then, the functional element 8 exercises here also the function of a displaceable on the base plate 1 guide for the cutter carrier 15 by the cutter carrier 15 is displaced in the manner described above between the guide flanks 28 until the cutting wheel 3 runs over the inclined edge 33 and a small distance has been displaced over the top of the tile 30. Only then does the cutting wheel carrier 15 leaves the guide flanks 28. From the FIG. 10 It can be seen that the two lugs 25 protrude at least partially over the top of the tile 30 to be cut.

The FIGS. 11 to 13 show a further operation of the tile cutter according to the invention. In this mode of operation, not only a first rail 16 but also a second rail 17 are fastened to the base plate 1. The two rails 16, 17 each hold one end 20 of a longitudinal stop 18. Die FIG. 12 shows how the longitudinal stop 18 can be brought with its stop edge 27 in a parallel orientation to the cutting line 21. A peripheral edge 35 of the tile 30 now abuts against the stop edge 27. A transverse to it Edge 33 of the tile 30 abuts against the fixed stop 5. In this mode, the use of the functional element 8 is optional.

The FIG. 13 shows that the stop edge 27 can also be brought into an acute-angled position to the cutting line 21. Again, one side 35 of the tile 30 abuts against the stop edge 27. The oblique to the cutting line extending edge 33 abuts in a point contact on the fixed stop 5. Also in this mode of operation, the use of the functional element 8 is optional. In view of the transverse forces arising as a result of the inclined position of the tile 30, however, the use of the functional element 8 is preferred in order to divert the transverse forces arising during the cutting into the base plate 1.
