Es ist somit, mit anderen Worten, für erfindungsgemäße Radialpressen insbesondere und im Zusammenwirken mit den übrigen bestimmenden Merkmalen charakteristisch, dass jeweils in einer durch zusammenwirkende Gleit- und Gegenflächenanordnungen definierten Gleitebene nicht ein zusammenhängender lastabtragender Bereich vorliegt, sondern dass vielmehr in der jeweiligen Gleitebene die Lastabtragung von der betreffenden Pressbacke auf das jeweilige Strukturelement in zwei diskreten, zueinander beabstandeten Bereichen erfolgt, zwischen denen sich ein keine lastabtragende Funktion aufweisender Freiraum befindet, welcher sich in Gleitrichtung der betreffenden Pressbacke relativ zum zugeordneten Strukturelement erstreckt. Durch diese Maßnahme wird wirksam auch bei einer längeren Betriebsdauer der Radialpresse einer Formveränderung der Pressbacken, Grundbacken und/oder Gleitebene dergestalt, dass diese im Bereich der Gleitflächenanordnungen leicht ballig werden, entgegengewirkt. Auf diese Weise wird in weiterer Konsequenz verhindert, dass die Pressbacken kippeln, was bei herkömmlichen gattungsgemäßen Radialpressen insbesondere bei stark exzentrischen Belastungen Beeinträchtigungen hinsichtlich der Maßhaltigkeit des Werkstücks nach sich ziehen kann. Die in Fig. 1 in dem vorliegend allein relevanten Teilbereich veranschaulichte Radialpresse entspricht hinsichtlich ihres Aufbaus, abgesehen von den nachstehend erläuterten Abweichungen, der in der DE 4135465 A1 beschriebenen, in Form einer Jochpresse ausgeführten Radialpresse. Insoweit wird uneingeschränkt verwiesen auf die entsprechende Publikation, die durch Bezugnahme vollständig zum Inhalt der vorliegenden Anmeldung gemacht wird, insbesondere deren Fig. 2 samt zugehöriger Erläuterung. Die beiden relativ zueinander bewegbaren (Doppelpfeil A) Strukturelemente 1 und 2 werden gebildet durch das untere Pressenjoch 3 bzw. das obere Pressenjoch 4. Zwischen den beiden Pressenjochen 3 und 4 ist das Presswerkzeug 5 aufgenommen, welches acht um die Pressenachse 6 herum angeordnete Pressbacken aufweist. Während eine Pressbacke 7 lagefest in dem unteren Pressenjoch 4 und eine weitere Pressbacke 8 lagefest in dem oberen Pressenjoch 3 aufgenommen ist, stützen sich zwei Pressbacken 9 gleitend auf den Pressenjochen 3 und 4 ab. Hierzu weisen die beiden betreffenden Pressbacken 9 jeweils zwei Gleitflächenanordnungen 10 auf, die sich gleitend auf korrespondierenden Gegenflächenanordnungen 11 abstützen. Claims (12)

  1. A radial press with a base structure and a pressing tool (5) accommodated therein, wherein the base structure features two structural elements (1, 2) that can be moved relative to one another (A) by means of a drive unit, and wherein the pressing tool comprises several press jaws (9; 15; 27) that are arranged around a press axis (6) and respectively supported in a sliding fashion by means of two sliding surface arrangements (10; 16, 20; 28) on corresponding mating surface arrangements (11; 23, 31; 26) assigned to the structural elements,
    characterized in
    that the load-transferring support of the press jaws (9; 15; 27) on the respective structural element (1; 2) is at least in the region of one of the respectively cooperating sliding surface and mating surface arrangements (10, 11; 16, 31; 20, 23; 28, 26) realized in two zones that are spaced apart from one another, wherein a clearance (F) without load-transferring function is located between the aforementioned zones and extends in the sliding direction of the respective press jaw relative to the assigned structural element, and wherein both load-transferring zones of the respectively cooperating sliding surface and mating surface arrangements have an identical sliding plane.
  2. The radial press according to Claim 1, characterized in that the clearances (F) are respectively formed by recesses (17) that are provided on the press jaws (15) in the region of the sliding surface arrangements (16) and extend in the sliding direction of the respective press jaw relative to the assigned structural element, wherein said recesses define on the respective sliding surface arrangement two spatially separated, coplanar sliding surface sections (18) that are spaced apart from one another and between which the assigned recess extends.
  3. The radial press according to Claim 1, characterized in that slide plates (12) are arranged between the press jaws (9) and the structural elements (1, 2), wherein the clearances (F) are respectively formed by recesses (13) that are arranged on the structural element (1) in the region of the support surfaces for the slide plates and extend in the sliding direction of the respective press jaw relative to the structural element, and wherein said recesses define on the respective structural element two spatially separated, coplanar zones (14) that are spaced apart from one another and on which the respectively assigned slide plate rests.
  4. The radial press according to Claim 1, characterized in that the press jaws directly rest in a sliding fashion on the structural elements and the clearances are respectively formed by recesses that are arranged on the structural element in the region of the mating surface arrangement and extend in the sliding direction of the respective press jaw relative to the structural element, wherein said recesses form on the respective mating surface arrangement two spatially separated, coplanar mating surface sections that are spaced apart from one another and between which the assigned recess extends.
  5. The radial press according to Claim 1, characterized in that the clearances are respectively formed by recesses (22; 25) that are arranged on slide plates (21; 24) resting on the structural element and extend in the sliding direction of the respective press jaw (15; 27) relative to the assigned structural element, wherein load-transferring zones that abut on the structural element, as well as on the respective press jaw, exist to both sides of the recesses.
  6. The radial press according to Claim 5, characterized in that the recesses (22; 25) are realized on the slide plates (21; 24) in the region of the mating surface arrangements (23; 26) such that the load-transferring zones are defined by spaced-apart mating surface sections (30; 29).
  7. The radial press according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the width of the clearances (F) measured transverse to the sliding direction of the respective press jaw (9; 15; 27) relative to the assigned structural element corresponds to at least 15% of the sum of the widths of the two load-transferring zones.
  8. The radial press according to Claim 7, characterized in that the width of the clearances (F) corresponds to at least 35%, preferably at least 50%, of the sum of the widths of the two load-transferring zones.
  9. The radial press according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the depth of the clearances (F) amounts to at least 0.5% of their width measured transverse to the sliding direction of the respective press jaw (9; 15; 27) relative to the assigned structural element.
  10. The radial press according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the two load-transferring zones of the respectively cooperating sliding surface and mating surface arrangements (10, 11; 16, 31; 20, 23; 28, 26) essentially have the same width measured transverse to the sliding direction of the respective press jaw (9; 15; 27) relative to the assigned structural element.
  11.
