Description

AN EMBODIMENT PROVIDING ENERGY SAVING IN PLASTERING
PRESSES
Description
The Technical Field
The invention relates to plastering press machines shaping metal sheet part without causing breaking and leaving fold tracks by generating force between to opposite cylinders in a mould.
The invention relates to plastering press machines providing cold shaping to the material located between the upper mould and lower mould by applying force by upper mould by means of compression cylinder, and relates to a pre-filling valve for free vertical motion of the upper mould and associated plate, medium 4 stage pump and medium electrical engine providing electricity generation in electrical drivers, change of rotation direction of 4-stage pump by electrical engine to provide motion of compression cylinders in downward direction and adjustment of plate falling down rate, generation of pressure by means of electrical engines of 4 stage pump after closing of pre-filling valve by means of upper valve block.
The Related Art
While conducting location and force control in plastering presses, energy loss occurs on direction control, flow adjustment and pressure valves. In addition, cushioning cylinder generates continuous opposite resistance by means of pump pressure in order to provide shaping resistance of sheet plate in the mould during plastering process. This needed resistance causes a constant energy loss. This resistance causes heating in used oil. The heating occurring in the hydraulic oil causes non-desired viscosity changes. And this causes several problems during inspection of the machine. In order to eliminate this uncontrolled heating, the cooling water or coolants are used which consume further energy. Moreover, number of cylinders may increase according to sizes of press machines. In such cases, force distribution of cylinders is not equal because of mould structures and the difference in forces transmitted to column bearing causes wearing. The existing presses have unnecessary size oil tanks because of heating problem in them. And this causes both space and design difficulties. In addition, the presses in the existing system consist of several valve groups such as direction control valve, speed adjustment valve and pressure adjustment valve etc. and therefore, problems such as maintenance and spare parts are experienced and furthermore, troubleshooting becomes more difficult and the recovery of occurring faults takes longer time. The presses are usually starting point of production and for that reason, the fault occurring initially causes stop of the production line. The reasons indirectly cause increase of costs and more time to be wasted in production processes. Electrical engines in the existing press embodiments operate regardless of performance of work by press. And this causes oil heating and consumption of unnecessary energy.
When searching the related art, some patent applications relating to plastering presses were found. Among these applications, one of them is TR200201793 that was filed on 2002/02/11. In the abstract part of said invention it is stated that the invention relates to plastering system of double impact hydraulic presses, in other words, gradual single mould and having single operation effect and used for plastering from bottom to top. Almost all of the existing plastering operations are conducted from top to bottom by means of conventional method and are expensive production and the highest plastering speed is 11-12 mm/sec. This invention provides reaching speed of 25-30 mm/sec and eliminates all pot pins and thus economical, quick and perfect plastering from bottom to top (reverse) is realized.
Another application is the patent application numbered TR200100513 and dated on 2001/02/23. The abstract page of the invention reads that the invention is a hydraulic press method designed and realized to produce industrial products or kitchen tools from light metals such as copper, brass, bronze and aluminium, and chromium-nickel alloy and iron, steel base all fine sheet materials which can be cold shaped by use of closed hydraulic circuit in contrary to open hydraulic circuits used in hydraulic presses in general. This method is a method of plastering (deep traction) - shaping (forming) conducted by fully closing moulds in order to produce high quality products, and it discloses an embodiment providing pressing by means of providing hydraulic power and speed required by both operations by means of close circuit special hydraulic system formed on a stabile (inflexible) hydraulic press. Description of the Invention
The purpose of the invention is to provide motion of cylinders by use of engine cycling and rotation capability of 4 stage pump (pump/engine) used for compression and cushion cylinder without use of direction control valve, speed adjustment or rate valve etc. In other words, the pressure loss occurring in such valves is eliminated and direct use of energy is ensured.
One purpose of the invention is to provide energy generation by means of opposite direction rotation of electrical engine and use of compression cylinder through operation of plastering cylinder by engine function of pump during plastering work. At the same time the weight of the press platform is benefited and the energy generated by weight during free fall by help of operation of hydraulic pump like an engine is converted into work and thus instead of electricity consumption, electricity is generated.
Another purpose of the invention is to provide consumption electricity by electrical engines of the new system only during operation of the press. The energy loss occurring in hydraulic systems causes heating of fluid, which leads, in turn, to reduction of viscosity. Reduced viscosity causes distortion in adjustment or difficulty in position control. Precise position and force control capability is developed by means of elimination of them.
Another purpose of the invention is to use the coolant and equipment as heating does not occur. And this is another energy gaining. Since there is no heating problem in hydraulic oil, capacity of oil tank is reduced in proportion to volumes of cylinders. Since operation life of fluid will increase in smaller volumes and because of heat, the environment protection is provided.
A further purpose of the invention is to use the location design advantage in presses by help of reduced volume of oil tanks. In the existing systems several valves and members are used to control position and location, which causes both monetary loss and spare part problems. High number of members makes it difficult to troubleshoot and thus recovery of faults takes longer time. The new system consists of less members and valves as it has been developed through the best solution is the simplest product.
Another purpose of the invention is to control pressure, speed and position by rotation and torque control of electrical engine, and thus all settings have been simplified and provide easy troubleshooting and recovery of occurring faults in shorter time period. Moreover, estimation of life of sealing members is provided by help of traceability of rotation number of pump on monitor. And this provides saving in service costs.
Another purpose of the invention is to provide accurate traceability by help of calculation of rotation number of pumps by encoder used in the engines, measurement of torque quantity and position data ruler. Thus it is easy to discover the faults occurring on the mould surface and therefore necessity to spotting presses is eliminated.
The number of cylinders increases subject to sizes of presses. In such cases, force distribution of cylinders becomes hard and the force transmitted to press bearing increases and wearing occurs. A further purpose of the invention is to control each cylinder separately and putting the plane position of the platform under the load under control by means of increase of number of pumps in press embodiments where number of cylinders is increased. Thus the life of material being pressed as well as mould and bearing is extended.

Detailed Description of the Invention
Upon opening of pre-filling valve (70), the upper mould (90) and platform (81) makes free fall downward. The platform (81) performing vertical movement is supported by press body (80). Electricity is generated in electrical drivers (13) because of capability of 4-stage pump (21 ) used during this operation to operate with engine function and function of electrical engine (11) to act as generator. In order to provide downward motion of compression cylinder (30), electrical engine (11) changes the rotation direction of the 4-stage pump (21) and controls number of rotation and thus the falling speed of the platform (81 ) is set. The compression cylinder (30) is mounted on press body (80). The approaching distance of upper mould (90) to lower mould (91 ) remains in speed range adjusted by command received from measurement ruler (50) and matching of raw material (100) is provided. In order to provide counter resistance of cushioning cylinder (31 ) during the operation, electrical engine (12) rotates the 4-stage pump (22) and takes the cushioning cylinder (31 ) to the position obtained from the ruler (50). Upon close of pre-filling valve (70) by help of valve block (40), electrical engines (10, 12) produce pressure by means of 4- stage pumps (20, 22).
The raw material (100) starts to get pressed between moulds (90, 91 ) by help of pressure generated on compression (30) and cushioning cylinders (31 ). While the compression cylinder (30) goes down at the desired speed up to desired distance by help of measurement made by the ruler (50), the cushioning cylinder (31 ) generates the desired resistance and helps in shaping the product (100) starting to get pressed between moulds (90, 91 ). Rotation, torque data received from engine (10, 12) and pump pressure position and ruler (50) position data are monitored on the display (14) and thus over-resisting regions on the surface of the moulds (90, 91 ) are recorded. This provides operation of the press like an spotting press. The energy generated by reverse pushing of the cushioning cylinder (31 ) by force applied from compression cylinder (30) through engine driving the 4-stage pump (20) for the compression operation provides operation of 4-stage pump (22) as engine and operation of electrical engine (12) like a generator and thus regenerative electrical generation is provided by means of electrical drivers. The pressure occurring during that time is accumulated in hydraulic accumulator (43). This accumulated pressure provides opening-closing of the pre-filling valve (70) through valve block (40) of. The energy generated without use of any power source for this operation provides energy saving. Upon completion of compression process, the pre- filling valve (70) is opened by help of valve block (40) and compression cylinder (30) is moved upward by help of 4-stage pump (1 1 ) and electrical engine (21 ). The cushioning cylinder (31 ) provides removal of raw material (100) in moulds (90, 91 ) by means of 4-stage pump (21 ) and electrical engine (1 1 ). Thus loop is completed. During waiting time, valve blocks (41 , 42) are closed against hose or pipe bursting and safety of platform (81 ) and cushion cylinder (31 ) is kept at high level safely. An oil tank (60) is also located on press machine.
It is possible to change the location and positions of the pumps (20, 21 , 22) in press machine being subject of the invention. However, the main principle is the use of 4-stage pumps (20, 21 , 22) as both pump and engine and providing energy saving.
The method steps for energy saving being subject of the invention are:
• firstly,
- upon opening of pre-filling valve (70), free falling downward motion of the upper mould (90) and related platform (81 )
- electricity generation at electrical drivers (13) by rotation motion of medium 4-stage pump (21 ) and operation of medium electrical engine (1 1 ),
- in order to provide downward motion of compression cylinder (30), change of rotation direction of 4-stage pump (21 ) by electrical engine (1 1 ) and adjustment of fall speed of platform (81 ),
- generation of pressure by electrical engines (10, 12) and 4-stage pumps (20, 22) upon close of pre-filling valve (70) by help of upper valve block (40).
• Secondly, in order to provide counter resistance of cushioning cylinder (31 ) during the operation, electrical engine (12) rotates the 4-stage pump (22) and takes the cushioning cylinder (31 ) to the position obtained from the ruler (50).
• Thirdly, the product (100) starts to get pressed between moulds (90, 91 ) by help of pressure generated on compression cylinder (30) and cushioning cylinder (31), and compression cylinder (30) moves to the desired distance at desired speed by measurement received from the ruler (50).
• Fourth, rotation, torque data received from engine (10, 12) and pump (20, 22) pressure position and ruler (50) position data are monitored on the display (14) and thus over-resisting regions on the surface of the moulds (90, 91) are recorded.
• Fifth, the energy generated by reverse pushing of the cushioning cylinder (31) by force applied from compression cylinder (30) through engine (10) driving the 4-stage pump (20) for the compression operation provides operation of 4-stage pump (22) as engine and operation of electrical engine (12) like a generator and thus regenerative electrical generation is provided by means of electrical drivers (13).
