Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing and laying a floor skirting board.
- GB 2300656 is considered to be the closest prior art. It discloses a method for manufacturing and laying a floor skirting board according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Floor coverings are made of various materials (such as wood, plastic, stone, cork, textile materials).
- the coverings are laid, for example, in webs (eg textile or plastic coverings), as blocks, plates or parquet (eg stone, wood, cork) or they are poured (eg elastic surface coverings for sports facilities, screeds, cork floor coverings) EP 10 193 478.5 ).
- skirting are used, which are made of the same material or other material.
- the baseboards are constructed.
- skirting a circumferential strip of carpet material or a plastic strip. In the living area also often wooden strips are used. Often, fillets are used.
- EP 1 229 178 A1 For thermal and partially acoustic insulation of masonry walls against a concrete floor slab it is made of the EP 1 229 178 A1 known to provide baseboard sections in the form of elongated cuboid, which are made of heat-insulating material (mixture of cork and thermoplastic polymers) and are interspersed with recesses into which penetrates when laying mortar.
- Cable channels are provided in baseboards (see eg DE 20 2005 017 279 U1 ).
- the DE 24 15 792 A1 discloses a Einputzsockelmann, which is attached to an unpainted wall and has trained as a teaching for the pasty wall covering to be applied trigger edge.
- On the skirting board is glued to the floor covering a skirting strip.
- the base covering strip is advantageously made of the same material as the floor covering and is connected to it by means of milling and welding operations.
- U1 cork skirting boards are used. These can be pressed from cork granules or formed from cut cork sheets and can simply be cut to the desired length. For long strip lengths they are glued together at the abutting edges for extension. The cork strips can be dyed well and harmonize with many floor coverings. They are easy to lay due to their elasticity.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method that allows easy production and installation of floor skirtings.
- the material for the skirting board is used in flowable form. Apart from the castability, the material may be any material. It may be a plastic material, for example polyurethane, which may contain particulate material and / or other filler or additives. In the case of cork flooring, particulate material may be cork flour or granules, also referred to as cork meal. Reinforcing fibers may be incorporated in the polyurethane layer. Such a material is used for the production of floor coverings according to the EP 10 192 478.5 used.
- the baseboard is made of the same or similar or suitably suitable material as the floor covering (eg both polyurethane), connect the material of the baseboard and the material of the floor seamlessly. It is thus possible to produce the floor after production of the baseboard and at the same time to obtain the seamless connection.
- the floor covering eg both polyurethane
- a baseboard can be installed in already laid flooring.
- a seamless or smooth transition to the floor covering can also be achieved in this case, which closes tightly.
- a profile strip (endless profile or cut-to-length profiles) which determines the outer contour of the skirting board to be produced.
- Their height or filling height determines the height of the skirting board, which is at least 5 mm and up to 150 mm.
- Their distance from the wall determines the thickness of the skirting board, which is at least 5 mm and up to 100 mm.
- Small baseboards will therefore have dimensions of about 10 mm x 10 mm, large baseboards 150 mm x 150 mm. The dimensions are determined by aesthetic and technical requirements.
- the baseboard hidden misplaced cable it can be inserted before pouring into the cavity a pipe, hose or the like. Once the skirting board has hardened, the pipe, the hose, etc. can be used as a cable duct via an appropriate access.
- the profile strip is preferably made of plastic and can be cut in the appropriate laying length.
- the plastic material for example polyethylene, polyester
- the plastic material is chosen so that the profile strip adapts to the substrate and rests satisfactorily on the substrate. At the same time sufficient rigidity must be ensured so that a stable mold for the baseboard material is ensured by means of profile strip, floor and wall.
- the profile strip for example, if it is made of polyethylene, heated with a H exertizifön and then shaped accordingly. In this case, angles of more than 90 ° can be produced.
- a metal profile strip can also be used a metal profile strip, optionally with a sealing pad in the lower region or a sealing lip to the ground.
- a sealing lip e.g. can be made of rubber, can also be extruded to a plastic profile.
- the fixing of the profile strip is achieved by temporarily bonding the profile strip with the ground. This is realized by means of an adhesive tape.
- the profile strip can also be fixed by weighting, e.g. by means of a hose filled with water or sand, or by fixing with dowels. In the case of a flooring that is usually laid later, the dowel holes are closed again by glue or potting compound and are invisible anyway.
- the material of the resulting skirting board does not adhere to the profile strip and it can easily be detached.
- their inside facing the wall may be coated with a coating, e.g. Release wax, or an impregnation are provided.
- a profile strip can be used, which is equipped at the floor facing the end with an outdoor foot. With this the profile strip rests on the floor and there the tape is attached.
- a weight can be applied to the foot to ensure a tight fit of the foot on the ground.
- the profile strip in the upper region to the outside ie be inclined away from the wall, so that widens the filling opening.
- Such an inclined leg of the profile strip acts like a funnel with a bottle.
- the baseboard should be laid in the corner of a floor 2 and a wall 4.
- a profile strip 6 is placed at a distance a, b from the wall 4 on the floor 2.
- the profile strip 6 has a contour which corresponds to the outer contour of the later baseboard. In the present case, it is a fillet strip, wherein deviating from the usual Hohlkehelfn profile shape all space is filled to the wall 4.
- the filled, flowable material is self-leveling.
- the profile strip 6 is formed as follows. She has a foot 8, with which she rests on the floor 2. These are followed by a short, upwardly facing step section 10. The height of the step corresponds at most to the thickness of a floor covering still to be applied. From the step on the profile strip is concave in the following main section 12, wherein the distance to the wall from a to b decreases.
- the profile strip can also have other shapes, depending on the desired Skirting contour. From the end of the main portion 12, a leg 14 is bent upwards and outwards. The leg 14 serves as a filling aid.
- the profile strip 6 is already assembled. Her foot 8 is glued by means of an adhesive tape 16 on the bottom 2. This fixation prevents any slipping.
- the bottom 2, the wall 4 and the profile strip 6 together form a mold for a baseboard to be produced.
- Liquid pourable baseboard material is poured from above into the gap between skirting board 6 and wall 4.
- Fig. 2 shows a dark section 18 of a finished baseboard in the foreground.
- a later potted flooring 20 is shown, which has connected to the same color having material of the baseboard, so that the transition is recognizable only at the relief at 22.
- lining panels 24 are indicated in the background, which rest on the skirting board.

In floor laying, particularly in the case of high-quality floors, e.g. In so-called terrazzo floors, it is often the case that cavity fillets are modeled on site.
The invention has for its object to provide a method that allows easy production and installation of floor skirtings.
This object is achieved in a method having the features of claim 1. A profile strip for the production of a poured baseboard is the subject of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
- Arranging a profile strip whose contour corresponds to the outer contour of the baseboard to be produced, at a desired distance from a wall on the floor, the profile strip, the floor and the wall forming a casting mold,
- Fixing the profile strip with adhesive tape on the floor,
- Pouring the liquid baseboard material into the cavity between the wall and the profile strip,
- Hardening of skirting material,
- Remove the profile bar.
According to the invention, a baseboard can be installed in already laid flooring. Depending on the materials and installation conditions, a seamless or smooth transition to the floor covering can also be achieved in this case, which closes tightly.
To form a mold for the strip material, a profile strip (endless profile or cut-to-length profiles) is used which determines the outer contour of the skirting board to be produced. Their height or filling height determines the height of the skirting board, which is at least 5 mm and up to 150 mm. Their distance from the wall determines the thickness of the skirting board, which is at least 5 mm and up to 100 mm. Small baseboards will therefore have dimensions of about 10 mm x 10 mm, large baseboards 150 mm x 150 mm. The dimensions are determined by aesthetic and technical requirements.
If the baseboard hidden misplaced cable, it can be inserted before pouring into the cavity a pipe, hose or the like. Once the skirting board has hardened, the pipe, the hose, etc. can be used as a cable duct via an appropriate access.
The profile strip is preferably made of plastic and can be cut in the appropriate laying length. The plastic material (for example polyethylene, polyester) is chosen so that the profile strip adapts to the substrate and rests satisfactorily on the substrate. At the same time sufficient rigidity must be ensured so that a stable mold for the baseboard material is ensured by means of profile strip, floor and wall.
At corners of rooms, doors, etc., and also on curves (pillars), the profile strip, for example, if it is made of polyethylene, heated with a Heißluftfön and then shaped accordingly. In this case, angles of more than 90 ° can be produced.
It can also be used a metal profile strip, optionally with a sealing pad in the lower region or a sealing lip to the ground. Such a sealing lip, e.g. can be made of rubber, can also be extruded to a plastic profile.
The fixing of the profile strip is achieved by temporarily bonding the profile strip with the ground. This is realized by means of an adhesive tape. The profile strip can also be fixed by weighting, e.g. by means of a hose filled with water or sand, or by fixing with dowels. In the case of a flooring that is usually laid later, the dowel holes are closed again by glue or potting compound and are invisible anyway.
If, for example, the profile strip is made of polyethylene or stainless steel, the material of the resulting skirting board does not adhere to the profile strip and it can easily be detached. To assist in peeling, particularly with other skirting materials, their inside facing the wall may be coated with a coating, e.g. Release wax, or an impregnation are provided.
To ensure the completion of the profile strip to the ground, a profile strip can be used, which is equipped at the floor facing the end with an outdoor foot. With this the profile strip rests on the floor and there the tape is attached.
In addition, a weight can be applied to the foot to ensure a tight fit of the foot on the ground.
Thus, the pouring of the skirting material is facilitated, the profile strip in the upper region to the outside, ie be inclined away from the wall, so that widens the filling opening. Such an inclined leg of the profile strip acts like a funnel with a bottle.
