Abstract

The invention refers to a bodysuit used for babies or children up to 2 years old. The bodysuit consists of a fixed upper part (A) and an adjustable lower part (the panty) (B), the latter having two lateral openings (C, D) for the baby's/child's legs, bordered by two elastic strips (C1, Di) and on its backside several horizontal folds (E) created through vertical seams (F) done with elastic thread, which allow the panty to expand in length and width, depending on the baby's/child's size. Above the vertical seams there is a horizontal seam (G) done in elastic thread, which ensures the flexibility of the bodysuit in width and, furthermore, it fits the bodysuit closer to the baby's body. The bodysuit with extendible panty generates important savings in the parents' budget, as it can be used for a longer period than regular body suits, the size of the extendible panty being adjustable in length and width.

Description

BODYSUIT WITH EXTENDIBLE PANTY
FOR CHILDREN AND BABIES
The present invention refers to a bodysuit with extendible panty which can be used for babies and children up to 2 years old.
Prior art: currently bodysuits are made for various sizes, depending on the baby's age; the standard age interval for these products is 3 months (e.g., bodysuit for babies aged 0 - 3 months, 3 - 6 months, 6 - 9 months, etc.). They are made of two parts (front-back) that are joint by studs in the lower part. Their disadvantage is that the strip around the leg is not elastic, thus it does not mould to the baby's leg, and due to friction, irritates the skin on the baby's leg all around; this rash heals with difficulty, in time.
The purpose of this invention is to provide a bodysuit with an extendible panty for children of various ages and sizes, which can be used for age intervals that exceed the standard intervals of the products that are already on the market, without the need to purchase a large number of clothing items while the child is growing.
The bodysuit with extendible panty, used for babies and children, is made of a fixed upper part (A) and a lower part, the panty (B), with two lateral openings (C, D) for the baby's legs, bordered by two elastic strips (C\, D . On its backside, the panty has several horizontal folds (E) created through the effect of vertical seams (F) done with elastic thread, which allow the panty to extend depending on the baby's size. Above the vertical seams there is a horizontal seam (G) done with elastic thread, which ensures the flexibility of the bodysuit in width and, furthermore, it fits the bodysuit closer to the baby's body, preventing the entrance of the air.
We specify that the bodysuit is made in one piece, but only for description purposes we have divided it into: fixed upper part and lower part - the panty.
The invention has the following advantages: increases the baby's/child's comfort, because the elastic panty moulds on the diaper and on the baby'/child's body; it prevents skin rashes; it generates important savings in the parents' budget, as it can be used for a longer period than regular bodysuits, the size of the extendable panty being adjustable in length and width.
The bodysuit can be made of cotton with elastic properties or of any other material with equivalent properties, and seams are also done with elastic thread. Below there is an example of making the invention, related to figures 1 and 2, which present a front view of the bodysuit and, respectively, a back view.
According to figure 1 (front view), the bodysuit consists of a fixed upper part (A) and an adjustable lower part (the panty) (B). The lower part closes with studs, so that the bodysuit could be put on or taken off easily.
According to figure 2 (back view), the bodysuit consists of a fixed upper part (A) and an adjustable lower part (the panty) (B). In the lower part, where the baby's/child's legs go out, there are two openings (C, D) bordered by elastic strips (Q, Di) which allow the adjustment of the panty to the baby's/child's legs, so that the bodysuit would be moulded to the body. Furthermore, in the lower part there are horizontal folds (E), created through the effect of vertical seams (F) done in elastic thread, whose role is to allow the bodysuit's extension depending on the necessities of the growing baby's/child's body. Above the vertical seams there is a horizontal seam (G) done in elastic thread, which ensures the flexibility of the bodysuit in width and in the same time it fits the bodysuit closer to the baby's body, preventing the entrance of the air.
