Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Brandmelder (1), welcher eine nach dem optischen Streulichtprinzip arbeitende Detektionseinheit (2) sowie eine elektronische Auswerteeinheit (3) aufweist. Er weist einen akustischen und/oder optischen Melder (5, 6) zur Ausgabe eines akustischen und/oder optischen Alarms (AA, OA) im detektierten Brandfall auf. Weiterhin weist der Brandmelder einen Energiespeicher (4), insbesondere eine Batterie, zur autarken elektrischen Versorgung des Brandmelders sowie eine Spannungsmesseinheit zur Messung einer am Energiespeicher anliegenden Batteriespannung (UBat) auf. Er umfasst ferner Warnmittel zur Ausgabe einer akustischen Warnung (AW) für den Fall, dass die Batteriespannung einen ersten Spannungsgrenzwert (ULow) unterschreitet. Zudem umfasst der Brandmelder einen für Umgebungslicht empfindlichen Sensor (8) sowie Mittel zum Unterdrücken der Ausgabe der akustischen Warnung, falls das Umgebungslicht einen vorgebbaren Helligkeitsgrenzwert (HG) unterschreitet. Erfindungsgemäss ist die Detektionseinheit eine offene Streulicht-Detektionseinheit mit einem ausserhalb des Brandmelders liegenden Detektionsraum (DR). Der für Umgebungslicht empfindliche Sensor ist zugleich ein optischer Empfänger der Streulicht-Detektionseinheit.
