Description

SPECIFICATION
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention the original eyelash butterfly guard relates to a disposable eye makeup shields for use in the cosmetic field as a skin, eyes, and eyelash protector from excess eye makeup falling thereon during application.
[0002] The around eye area is absolutely critical in the field of any cosmetic manipulations. The application of eye makeup is the most difficult, complex, and lengthy part of beautifying procedures. Without the use of a protective shield, the application of mascara and eye shadows on eyelashes and around the eyes can never be done perfectly. Such misapplication ensures that a user appear to be old and tired from eye makeup smears. A mirror with small magnification reveals that small drops of mascara and eye shadow's powder disperse under eyes, on the nose bridge, and the chicks. Such dispersal can be perceived as dirty pores. Additionally, robbing the under eyes area in an attempt to remove a mess, that never can be removed perfectly, results in eye irritation as it ruins the consuming and meticulous work of a camouflage of dark circles and bags. Specifically, every specialist knows that the breakage of a layer made by concealer, foundation, and dry powder is impossible to patch. The user must spend more precious time to remove makeup and apply it again to achieve excellent results. The follow-on stress and frustration, and anxiety rob precious time.
[0003] The protective shield is essential during the application and removal of permanent dye on eyelashes during eyelash tinting procedures. Such avoidance of permanent dye stains under the eyes frees the recipient from waiting until the damaged epidermis sheds as new skin cells grow. In addition, this invention will be useful as a protective aid during artificial eyelash extension procedures.
[0004] The protective shield is essential during daily eye makeup removal procedure to prevent skin damage and premature aging, wrinkles, dark circles, and permanent pigmentation caused by micro makeup particles penetration into the dermis by shielding the delicate under eye skin from the harsh chemicals. The protective shield prevents eyelashes from falling out and eliminates the irritation of the eyes and eyelids. Also, it protects the skin from the pulling and stretching motions associated with unprotected eye makeup removal that contribute to formation of shadows and bags resulting from excessively stretched skin.
[0005] The protective shield for around eyes area an essential aid for every professional makeup artist, cosmetologist, and private user to achieve long, full, and lush eyelashes faster with no mess under the eyes from mascara, eyes shadows, glue, and dye. The precise and fixed coverage of a protective shield, the pursuit of unrestricted hands, and the ability to save a time are extremely important goals in the field of beautifying procedures. 306] Several different devices have been proposed to assist in the application and/or removal of eye makeup. >r example, U.S. Pat. No. 6,640,814 issued to Burke; U.S. Pat. No. 5,957,142 issued to Karafilis; U.S. Pat. ). 5,178,170 issued to Kassai; U.S. Pat. No. 5,016,658 issued to Green; U.S. Pat. No. 2004/0255971 issued Houghton; U.S. Pat. No. D536.129 issued to Davis; U.S. Pat. No. 3,884,232 issued to Braun. All those plastic indhold mascara protectors are supposed to hold under the angle to the eye. However, they can slide from inds and damage the eye. They are a dangerous tools not only to a person with any kind of tremor in the inds, but for everyone. The coverage of those devices is too small and too smooth to protect the skin from ling eye shadow's fine powder. Such tools that feature smooth plastic surfacing, allow mascara to permeate neath the device, or it sticks to the skin, breaking the under-eye makeup coverage. All those devices for the e in very limited applications. It is impossible to use handhold shields during eyelash extension procedures, elash tinting or permanent makeup tattooing where a specialist must use both hands. Those devices are not jposable and not able to have a proper sterilization to be used in public facilities.
307] Other type of protective shields made from paper or fabric also has problems. For example, U.S. Pat No. >33,302 issued to Luciano; U.S. Pat. No. D461,278 issued to Takechi; U.S. Pat. No. 5,050,624 issued to )be; U.S. Pat. No. 1 ,850,540 issued to Erickson. The coverage of those devices is too small and it requires a . of handholding. All those devices for the use in very limited applications.
D08] Some eye makeup protectors on the market today positioned adhesive materials directly under the eyes hold it in place. This area is the precisely where the face has its most delicate and thinnest skin. Repeated e of any kind of stickers on this kind of skin would cause excessive skin exfoliation, hyper pigmentation, ergic reaction and severe irritation. Moreover, stickers will break the makeup coverage under the eyes that is placed there earlier.
309] Following devices are not invented to protect around eye area. For example, U.S. Pat. No. D499.509 sued to Hiroi; U.S. Pat. No. D426.019 issued to Acki; U.S. Pat. No. D487.942 issued to Hiroi; U.S. Pat. No. 123,712 issued to Acki. These are facial masks sheets to use for the skin treatments as a compress saturated skin care products as cream-masks, lotions, serums, paraffin applications.

From the top point Z we are able to draw a curved line for the nose part. From the center line 3 to the line 5 that helps to draw half moon curves 1 A for the eyes 1 A the line 4 is 40mm. From this line 5 to the side of the eyelash guard, line 6 is 52,5mm. Broken line 5 is 20mm. From the top point R, we are able to draw half moon curves for the eyes 1 A and for confirming the bottom, edge of the device from the point Y the line 7 is 45mm. The smooth line that confirms the nose shall be rounded from the point P; the line 8 is 7mm. From P until S is 45mm. The broken line 9 is 20mm and it makes easy to round the bottom of the nose curve. From the bottom point of the nose curve to the bottom line of the B metal size adjuster 10 is 5mm.
[0039] Referring to FIG.1 the device has two sides that especially were designed to connect elastic ear loops C. From the top side corner of the device until the beginning of the eye curve 11 is 25mm. The side of the device 12 is 25mm. From the top side corner to the point of the elastic ear loop connection 1AC and from the bottom side corner until the elastic ear loop connection 2AC is 6mm. We smoothed out d and e edges of the top four corners that belong to the eye curves. The length of the radius r of all four corners the same is 6mm. The FIG. 2 is an enlarged partial view of those corners.
[0040] This product must be manufactured in a clean facility that can be suitable for the production of safe for health and body goods. Materials for the product and packaging must be very clean, non-toxic, latex, odor, and dust free. Parts of the product can be connected by the sonic fusion, glue, adhesive tape or other ways.
[0041] The original eyelash butterfly guard can be manufactured utilizing very simple and low cost production processes because it complete of three parts and it made from recycle materials.
[0042] The eyelash guard assists the user to achieve longer and fuller looking eyelashes. It improves and enhances the process for applying mascara to the eyelashes. The eyelash guard provides a protective surface A against which the mascara brush can operate firmly FIG.1 , FIG. 5-9. The user can apply an appropriate level of force all the way through the eyelashes, which allows for an even and complete mascara application without clumps and smears. The even coat of mascara seals every eyelash and it prevents black sheds and drops on the skin. It is impossible to attain such a result without utilizing of the original eyelash butterfly guard.
[0043] The original eyelash butterfly guard helps to prevent the formation of wrinkles and dark circles by shielding the delicate under eye skin 1A from the harsh chemicals used during daily eye makeup removal. Upon softly pressing the eyelashes against the eyelash guard A, the unit allows for the gentle cleansing of the eyelashes with a cotton swab saturated with eye makeup removal solution all the way through the eyelashes without forceful rubbing. The design of the eyelash guard encourages the diffusion of mascara on cotton swabs and on the protective shield thereby negating mascara diffusion upon the skin. In addition, the device helps to prevent eyelashes from falling out and eliminates the irritation of the eyes and eyelids. Also, it protects the skin from the pulling and stretching motions associated with unprotected eye makeup removal that contribute to formation of shadows and bags resulting from excessively stretched skin. In summary, eye makeup removal, as enhanced by the eyelash guard, is easy and healthful.
[0044] From the foregoing, it will be apparent that the present invention provides a simple and inexpensive device that is a new and useful improvement over previous devices for use in the application of eye makeup and skin and eyelash protection.
