Claims (9)

  1. Edge element system comprising:
    at least one elongated profile (5; 5') whereof an upper surface of a central portion (64) defines a visible surface of the edge element, and comprising on a lower surface two adhesive portions (62; 7) extending longitudinally; and
    at least two distinct supports (9) each comprising:
    a foot (92) intended to rest on the floor; and
    a clip-shaped head (94) open opposite the foot and whereof a first (944) jaw and a second (946) jaw are oriented vertically, one of said adhesive portions of the profile being engaged in the respective openings (942) of the supports.
  2. System according to claim 1, wherein at least the first jaw (944) of each support is elastically deformable in order to temporarily close the head at least in the vicinity of the opening (942) thereof.
  3. System according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the second jaw (946) of each support is longer than the first one (944) and defines, by the free end thereof, a bevelled surface intended to engage with a lower surface of the profile.
  4. System according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the foot (92) of each support comprises, over the height thereof, at least one break-away area (922).
  5. System according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each support is obtained from a single piece of plastic material.
  6. System according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein each adhesive portion is composed of a first adhesive strip (62) extending longitudinally on the lower surface of the profile, each first strip being adhesive on the surface opposite the profile and being obtained by longitudinal folding of a sheet (6) a second strip (63) of which is adhered to the profile.
  7. System according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein each adhesive portion is composed of a lateral wing (7) articulated to the central portion (64) and intended to be fold beneath thereunder, the lower surfaces of the wings in the folded position being adhesive (8).
  8. System according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the edge element further comprises, on the lower surface thereof, an open longitudinal slider (24).
  9. Method of installing a system according to any one of claims 1 to 8, comprising the following steps:
    engaging a first (62, 7d) of the adhesive portions in the openings of several supports (9);
    exerting pressure on the jaws of each support to flatten the adhesive portion against the inner surface of the first jaw (944);
    installing the edge element (5, 5') by placing the supports on the floor (11) and by flattening the adhesive portion situated between the supports against the wall (15); and
    lowering the edge element against the floor covering (12) and adhering it by means of the second adhesive portion (6 g, 7 g).
