Description

The invention relates to an insert for a basket of a dishwasher for holding in particular long-stemmed glasses.

Dishwashers as such are well known in the art, which is why a separate documentary proof is not required at this point.

Previously known prior art dishwashers usually have so-called baskets that serve to accommodate dishes. Typically, a dishwasher has a lower basket, an upper basket and possibly also a cutlery drawer. It regularly poses a problem to accommodate long-stemmed glasses such as wine or champagne glasses in previously known prior art baskets in such a way that at a positionally secure arrangement at the same time the desired result to be achieved is actually achieved. The DE 10 2006 055 346 A1 describes an insert for long stemmed glasses having a holding device for holding a glass at a first region of the glass and a supporting device at a second region of the glass.

Based on the above, it is the object of the invention to provide an insert for receiving in particular long-stemmed glasses, which helps to achieve a desired rinsing result, and this while ensuring a position-safe recording.

To achieve this object, the invention provides an insert for a basket of a dishwasher for holding in particular long-stemmed glasses, with a cup holder, which is frusto-conical and has a contact lip, wherein the abutment outside bears a sawtooth profile proposed.

The insert according to the invention has a cup holder, which is frusto-conical. When used as intended, this cup holder takes on the goblet of a glass. The cup holder has, according to a preferred embodiment, a first and a second truncated cone portion, wherein the abutment rib extends between these two truncated cone portions. There may also be provided several abutment ribs, for example three, four or more. The design of two truncated cone sections has the advantage that the contact surface between use on the one hand and glass on the other hand is reduced to a minimum, which on the one hand simplifies the intended handling, but on the other hand also ensure that the unwanted accumulation of residual water is basically avoided ,

The truncated cone sections may according to a further feature of the invention be circular segments, the first truncated cone section having a smaller diameter than the second truncated cone section. The cup holder is preferably integrally formed and made of plastic. Simplified production and simplified use are thus made possible.

The insert according to the invention is characterized according to a further feature by a clamping element for the arrangement of the cup holder on the basket of the dishwasher. This clamping element serves to arrange the cup holder in a secure manner in a known from the prior art basket of a dishwasher. The clamping element can also be referred to as a connection adapter, which serves to connect the cup holder on the one hand and the dishwasher basket on the other. The clamping element is for example U-shaped and dimensioned in its geometric configuration such that it can be clamped in a standard example provided by a lower basket wicker. According to a further feature of the invention, the insert may have a foot holder which serves to support the foot of a glass. The foot holder has, according to a further feature of the invention, a stop web which has a sawtooth profile on the glass foot side. This embodiment provides the advantage that the accumulation of residual water can be largely prevented. Unsightly water spots in the foot area of the glass can be effectively avoided.

According to a further feature of the invention, the foot holder provides a fastening portion. This attachment section serves to arrange the foot holder on the basket of the dishwasher. In this case, the attachment portion may be formed, for example, as a clamping element that allows a "click-attachment" of the foot holder on the dishwasher basket.

The foot holder is preferably as well as the cup holder integrally formed and made of plastic.

According to a further feature of the invention it can be provided that the cup holder and the foot holder are combined to form a common holding device. A common and simultaneous handling of cup holder and foot holder is so mögüch in a simple manner. The above-described construction of the insert 1 according to the invention provides for improved flushing comfort, especially for long-stemmed glasses. The receptacle of the cup 3 of the glass 2 via the frusto-conical cup holder 6, wherein the frusto-conical configuration has the advantage that glasses 2 can always be optimally positioned with different cup diameters. Incidentally, the sawtooth profiles 12 and 18 ensure that any remaining water can run off better. An optimized rinsing result can be achieved in this way. The position of the sawtooth ribs of the sawtooth profile 12 is otherwise chosen so that they always run at the lowest point of the cup 3, so that residual water or evaporation residues can be avoided.
