  • FIG. 1 is a plan view of a housing wall 1 of a vehicle lock shown.

In the main catch of the bolt 14 also bears on a lateral contour region of the blocking lever 8 in order to avoid opening noise. If the pre-locking pawl 13 is rotated in the direction of the arrow 16, the bolt 14 causes the blocking lever 8 is rotated out of the blocking position.
  • the spring arm 10a is also moved. This facilitates the rotation of the blocking lever 8 through the pre-catch pawl 13 from the blocking position because there is no need to overcome counter-pressure of the spring arm 10b. Additionally or alternatively detects a lateral contour portion of the pre-locking pawl 13 as a result of said rotational movement a protruding serving as a stop pin 17 which is mounted on the main catch pawl 6. This has the consequence that the main locking pawl 6 is rotated out of the illustrated locking position and releases the catch. This then pivots in the direction of the arrow 22 in the direction of the open position and finally releases the locking pin 3. The associated door or flap can then be opened.
  • the pre-locking pawl 13 may also lock the catch 4 when a protruding pin 18 of the catch 2 impinges on the lateral contour area 19 of the pre-locking pawl 13 and thus prevents rotation of the pawl in the open position according to arrow 22.

Description

The invention relates to a lock for a motor vehicle with a locking mechanism comprising a rotary latch and a pawl, with which the rotary latch can be locked in a closed position. The ratchet also has a blocking lever which locks the pawl when it locks the ratchet. More particularly, the invention relates to a lock having a main ratchet pawl (hereinafter called "main ratchet pawl"), a ratchet pawl (hereinafter called "pre-ratchet pawl") and a blocking lever for said main ratchet pawl. Such a lock is from the document DE 10 2007 003 948 A1 known. A rotary latch of a motor vehicle lock has a fork-shaped inlet slot, into which a locking bolt of a vehicle door or a vehicle door, when the vehicle door or vehicle door is closed. The locking pin then rotates the catch from an open position - also called open position - in a closed position. If the catch has reached a closed position, then the locking pin can not leave the inlet slot of the catch. In the closed position, a pawl locks the catch, so that it can not be rotated back into the open position.

For safety reasons, there are regularly two closed positions in a lock for a motor vehicle, which can be taken in succession during closing by the rotary latch, namely the so-called pre-rest and the so-called main lock.

In order to avoid that a pawl is not moved unintentionally out of its locking position, a blocking lever may be provided which blocks such movement when the catch is locked. Such a hook-shaped blocking lever is in the from the publication DE 10 2007 003 948 A1 known lock for the main catch pawl required as the catch and the main catch pawl so are designed so that the pawl in the main catch urges the main-locking pawl from the locking position.

The from the publication DE 10 2007 003 948 A1 known, rotatably mounted blocking lever is biased by a spring. Due to this bias, the blocking lever exerts pressure on the main catch pawl towards the catch when the catch is not in the main catch position. This pressure is responsible for moving the main latch pawl into its latching position when the latch reaches the main latch. The bias then continues to ensure that the blockage lever is finally moved to the blocking position, so that the vehicle door or vehicle door is so completely closed.

To unlock the lock, the blockage lever is rotated counter to its bias by means of the pre - ratchet pawl until the blockage lever releases the main catch pawl. The main catch pawl is then urged by the catch from the locking position or detected by a catch of the pre-locking pawl and so moved out of the locking position. Following this, the catch rotates due to a corresponding bias of the main load in its open position. The locking bolt can now be moved out of the inlet slot again and the corresponding vehicle door or vehicle door can be opened.

The from the publication DE 10 2007 003 948 A1 known pre-locking pawl is biased by a spring in the direction of the rotary latch. This bias ensures that the pre-locking pawl gets into its locking position when the required position is achieved by appropriate rotation of the rotary latch.

A lock according to the preamble of claim 1 is from the document DE 20 2006 012 091 U bekannt.Nehin discloses the document GB 2 433 768 a lock with a multi-arm blockage lever. It is an object of the invention to provide a well-functioning lock for a motor vehicle.

The object of the invention is achieved by a lock with the features of the first claim. Advantageous embodiments emerge from the subclaims.

The claimed lock for a motor vehicle is provided with a locking mechanism of a catch and at least one pawl, in particular a pre-locking pawl for a first locking the catch and a main catch pawl for a subsequent locking of the catch. The lock also includes a blocking lever which blocks the at least one pawl when it locks the catch. The pawl can not be moved out of the locking position when it is blocked by the blocking lever. The rotatably mounted blocking lever has at least two lever arms which, viewed from the rotational axis, extend in substantially opposite directions. As a result, the center of gravity is moved towards the axis of rotation compared to the aforementioned hook-shaped blockage lever. This facilitates the rotation of the blockage lever. Compared to a hook-shaped blockage lever, the lock works better. According to the invention the blocking lever has a third lever arm for moving and blocking the pawl. The third lever arm is shorter than the other two mentioned lever arms in order to shift the center of gravity as little as possible away from the axis of rotation. With this third lever arm, the pawl, preferably the main-locking pawl is moved to the locking position and blocked after reaching the locking position. This third lever arm is configured hook-shaped in particular for the reasons mentioned.

In one embodiment of the invention acts on one of the opposite lever arms, a spring which presses the blocking lever in the blocking position to move the blocking lever into this position when the corresponding pawl locks the rotary latch. Preferably, this lever arm is relatively long, so slightly longer than the other opposite lever arm, so that the force acting on this lever spring force especially easily able to effect the desired rotational movement of the blocking lever.

In one embodiment of the invention, there is a stop for one of the two opposite lever arms, and preferably for the lever arm, which is acted upon by no spring. The stop is reached by the lever arm when the blocking lever reaches its blocking position. This ensures on the one hand that the blocking lever always reaches its blocking end position very precisely, which is very important for a good functioning of the lock, since the permissible tolerances are particularly low in this regard. If one lever arm is spring-loaded and if the other lever arm can be moved against the abovementioned stop, then both lever arms have a further technical function. For reasons mentioned in connection with the exemplary embodiment, it is advantageous to use the non-spring-loaded lever arm for reaching a stop. The bias, which acts on the spring-loaded lever arm can then be advantageously controlled in the manner explained in the embodiment advantageously with the aid of a further pawl.

Below is a in the FIGS. 1 to 4 shown embodiment of the invention explained in more detail. On the basis of the embodiment advantages of further embodiments of the invention are illustrated.

In the FIG. 1 is a plan view of a housing wall 1 of a vehicle lock shown. The housing wall 1 is provided with an inlet slot 2 into which a locking bolt 3 of a vehicle door or a vehicle door enters when the associated vehicle door or vehicle door is closed. The rotary latch 4 is rotatably mounted on the housing wall 1 and can be rotated about its mounting axis 5. In the FIG. 1 the main catch is shown, in which the locking bolt 3 located in the housing wall inlet slot 2 is enclosed by the inlet slot of the rotary latch so that the locking bolt 3 can no longer be moved out of the housing wall inlet slot 2. The corresponding door or the flap of the vehicle is thus closed. Shown is the main catch, because a turning back of the catch according to arrow direction shown 22 is prevented in the open position by the main catch - pawl 6 as shown. The main catch - pawl 6 is also mounted on the housing wall 1 and can be rotated about its mounting axis 7. The rotary latch 4 may be biased by a spring, not shown, in the open position. Due to such a bias, the rotary latch 4 presses against a stop of the main catch - pawl with an oblique course. This oblique course urges the main catch pawl out of the locking position.

If the catch is not biased by a spring, then at least the locking pin 3 causes a rotational movement of the rotary latch 4 in the open position according to arrow 22 when an associated vehicle door or vehicle door is opened. The associated torque then urges the main catch pawl 6 out of the locking position.

However, this is prevented in the main load when the vehicle door or vehicle door is locked by a blocking lever 8 as shown. The blocking lever 8 is also mounted on the housing wall 1 and can be rotated about its mounting axis 9. At a lateral contour region of the blocking lever 8 is an arm 10b of a spring 10 at. The spring 10 is biased so that the arm 10b of the spring 10 urges the blocking lever 8 in the direction of the blocking position shown (in the direction of arrow 11). The rotational movement of the blocking lever 8 caused thereby is limited, as shown, by a stop 12, which is fastened to the housing wall 1 in the form of a protruding bolt. The spring 10 is mainly arranged laterally next to the blocking lever 8 and next to a Vorrastsperrklinke to allow a low height. Only one arm 10a of the spring 10 extends beyond the blocking lever 8.

Above the main catch pawl 6, a pre-locking pawl is arranged. This is also rotatably mounted on the axis 7 and can therefore be rotated about this axis 7. The outline 13 of the pre-locking pawl is indicated by dotted lines. The pre-locking pawl 13 comprises a bolt 14, which extends from the pre-locking pawl in the direction of the housing wall 1. At this pin 14 of the other arm 10a of the spring 10 abuts. The other arm 10a of the spring 10 pushes in the direction of the bolt 14 along the arrow 15.

At the same time, due to the rotational movement of the pre-locking pawl 13, the spring arm 10a is also moved. This facilitates the rotation of the blocking lever 8 through the pre-catch pawl 13 from the blocking position because there is no need to overcome counter-pressure of the spring arm 10b. If the blocking lever 8 is thus moved out of the blocking position, the main-locking pawl 6 is urged out of its shown locking position by the rotary latch.

The pre-locking pawl 13 may also lock the catch 4 when a protruding pin 18 of the catch 2 impinges on the lateral contour area 19 of the pre-locking pawl 13 and thus prevents rotation of the pawl in the open position according to arrow 22. The pre-locking pawl 13 is biased by a spring, not shown, in the direction of the rotary latch and thus in the direction of its locking position. A protruding pin 20 serving as a stopper mounted on the housing wall 1 prevents further rotation of the pre-locking pawl beyond its locking position.

The main catch pawl 6 is then instead rotated by moving the catch 4, the pre-locking pawl 13 and the blocking lever 8 suitably, for example, by a rotational movement of the blocking lever 8 in the locking position (main catch). The corresponding rotation of the blocking lever is effected by the controlled bias of the spring 10. However, this bias is controlled by appropriately moving the pre-locking pawl and thus provided. Loses that Spring with which the pre-locking pawl is pressed in the direction of its locking position, their effect, so it eliminates the bias that pushes the blocking lever in the blocking position and thus at the same time the main locking pawl towards locking position towards the catch. If an associated vehicle door or vehicle door is closed, the main-locking pawl can no longer engage in the locking position and the corresponding door or flap can not be closed

In order to properly move the main catch pawl with the aid of the blocking lever into the locking position, hook-shaped endings 6b and 8a have proven to be particularly suitable. The head of the hook 6b of the main catch pawl acts as a stopper for the catch. The hook tip of the hook 6b is blocked by the head of the hook 8a in the main branch. If the blocking lever 8 is rotated out of the blocking position, the two hooks 6b and 8a engage in one another. Overall, the desired movement can be ensured so particularly reliable. The hooks also cause the lever arm 8b of the blocking lever, which is acted on by the spring 10, to be pressed particularly far outward by the hook 6b when the rotary latch is moved to the open position. This lever arm of the blocking lever is then no longer on the bolt 14, whereby the bias voltage is increased, which then presses the blocking lever in the blocking position in the open position of the catch. This increase in the bias by the spring 10 (as the corresponding lever arm 8b moves away from the bolt 14) is not caused by turning the pre-locking pawl 13, but by turning the main-latch pawl 6 in the direction of the arrow 16 from its locking position out. This rotation of the main-locking pawl is in turn effected by turning the rotary latch 4 in the opening direction along the arrow 22. The force required for corresponding rotation of the rotary latch 4 is preferably provided by a sufficiently biased spring, so that the provision of a large bias by the spring 10 in the open position does not affect the force, with the pre-locking pawl 13 must be rotated to unlock the locking mechanism.

In order to turn the pre-locking pawl 13 out of its locking position so as to unlock the lock, it is grasped and turned on a handle portion 21. The detection and rotation of the pre-locking pawl 13 can be done by means of a motor or by manual operation.

Diese verdeckt daher teilweise vor allem die Hauptrast-Sperrklinke 13.In the FIG. 2 the castle will be off FIG. 1 shown. However, the pre-locking pawl 13 is now not transparent. This therefore partially conceals especially the main catch pawl 13th

In the FIG. 3 the position of the rotary latch 4, the main locking pawl 6, the blocking lever 8, the spring 10 and the locking pin 3 is illustrated in the open position. In addition, the position of the pre-locking pawl 13 is sketched by a transparent representation. The locking pin 3 can now be moved out of the inlet slot and the associated door or flap can be opened. The tip of the hook 6b of the main catch pawl pushes the hook-shaped lever arm 8a and thus also the lever arm 8b of the blocking lever 8 far outward. The spring arm 10b is thus also pressed far outward and the spring 10 is highly biased overall. The lateral tip 4b of the lateral contour 4a, which extends to the corner point 4c, ensures that the lever 8b is pushed particularly far outward by the hook 6b and thus the spring 10 is particularly strongly biased. The FIG. 3 also illustrates that the pre-locking pawl 13 does not contribute to the increased bias of the spring 10.

If a vehicle door, through which people get in and out, or vehicle flap slammed with the locking pin 3, the pivot pin 3 rotates the rotary latch 4 back in the direction of the closed position. The back of the hook 6b then slides along the lateral contour 4a, the from the vertex 4b to the vertex 4c. Although this leads to the fact that the bias of the spring 10 initially decreases a bit, since then the blocking lever 8 initially rotates a little back in the direction blocking position. Allerding also slides the bolt-shaped stop 14 in the direction of lateral contour 19 of the pre-locking pawl 13 and so finally releases the pre-locking pawl 13 so that it finally rotates in the direction of locking position due to their bias and thereby the bias of the spring 10 back in then desirably increased.

In the FIG. 4 an intermediate position between the open position and closed position of the rotary latch 4 is shown. If the rotary latch 4 is rotated a little further in the direction of the closed position by the bolt 3, then the pre-locking pawl 13, which in turn is shown transparently, engages in its locking position and then tightens the spring 10 more strongly. The back of the hook 6b is pressed by the lever arm 8a of the biased by the spring 10 blocking lever 8 against the lateral contour portion 4a of the rotary latch.

Although the two lever arms 8b and 8c extend arcuately, but in comparison to the above-mentioned from the publication DE 10 2007 003 948 A1 known prior art significantly stretched. In this sense, the blocking lever comprises two lever arms 8b, 8c which extend in opposite directions as viewed from the rotation axis 9 of the blocking lever. The short lever arm 8c tends to be slightly thicker than the longer lever arm 8b, so as to shift the center of gravity in the direction of the axis of rotation 9.
