Definitions
- the present invention is directed to a lock for closing a flap and in particular a tailgate of a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1, with a lock housing in which a latch is movably received to secure a closing element in a closed position of the lock latch and in a Release position of the lock latch release, wherein a damping device is provided by the closing element in the closed position in the lock housing can be accommodated damped, wherein the damping device has at least one recorded in the lock housing spring element which biases the closing element in the closed position against the lock latch biased, creating a rattling noise the closing element is prevented in the closed position of the castle.
- a lock for closing a flap and in particular the tailgate of a motor vehicle known.
- a latch latch is movably received to secure the closing element referred to here as a locking pin in the closed position of the latch within an insertion opening.
- the closing element is drawn into the insertion opening and pressed against a rear elastic element, which is referred to as a stop buffer.
- This bump stopper is formed of a rubber material or a plastic material having a high elasticity.
- the closing element is subjected to force by the stop buffer and pressed against the contact surface of the latch. As a result, a rattling noise of the closing element is prevented in the closed position of the castle.
- an elastic element as a stop buffer has the disadvantage that over a longer period of use of the castle, the elasticity of the elastic stop buffer decreases. In particular, when the closing element remains permanently through the latch in the closed position, the elastic element is also permanently subjected to force. Over the longer period of use, the rubber or plastic material ages, and the damping effect of the damping device formed by the stop buffer decreases, which can cause rattling noises in the lock.
- the invention includes the technical teaching that the spring element is designed as a leg spring, wherein two tong-like at least relatively movable jaw members are movably received in the lock housing, which are biased by the spring element in a jaw closing position.
- a spring element is used, which is designed as a metallic spring element and has no significant aging over the service life of the castle.
- the advantage of preventing rattling noises of the closing element in the closed position of the lock is achieved in that the spring element forces the closing element against the lock catch in order to create a spring clamping of the closing element. If the closing element is outside the lock, then the spring element assumes a force-relaxed position. If the closing element is inserted into the lock, the spring element is transferred from the force-tensioned to the force-tensioned position.
- the prestressing of the spring element achieved thereby relates exclusively to the elastic region of the spring element which is not subject to any appreciable aging and consequently no lowering of the spring preload of the closing element in the lock.
- the lock housing has a receiving recess into which the closing element can be inserted from an insertion direction in order to reach the closed position.
- the closing element is designed as a striker and placed in the door side panel of the motor vehicle or in the tailgate of the motor vehicle.
- the lock is thus located on the arrangement of the striker corresponding, opposite side in the door or in the bottom region of the trunk, so that when closing the flap of the motor vehicle, the closing element is inserted into the receiving recess of the lock housing.
- An advantageous arrangement of the spring element results from the fact that the spring force caused by the spring element or the resulting acting on the closing element forces, also effected by the spring element, against the insertion of the closing element acts in the receiving recess on the closing element.
- the biasing force of the spring element must be applied in the closing movement of the flap. This advantageously results in a damping effect of the movement of the flap of the motor vehicle shortly before the closed position of the flap on the motor vehicle.
- locks for closing a flap of a motor vehicle which have an electromotively operable lock latch. If the latch is electromotive transferred from the release position to the closed position, both the flap is pressed into a frequently existing between the flap and the frame of the motor vehicle sealing unit, as well as the spring element biased by the insertion of the closing element in the receiving recess. Consequently, the bias of the spring element is generated by an electric motor, and it is not necessary for the operator of the motor vehicle to operate the flap of the motor vehicle to overcome the spring bias of the spring element particularly strong.
- the spring element is designed as a leg spring, wherein the forceps-like at least relatively movable jaw elements are movably received in the lock housing, which are biased by the spring element in a jaw closing position.
- the jaw elements are arranged in the jaw closing position such that the jaw elements protrude at least partially into the receiving recess in the lock housing. It is thereby achieved that upon insertion of the closing element into the receiving recess, springback of the jaw elements takes place against the spring pretension of the leg spring.
- the closing element is subjected to force via two contacts by only one leg spring, the resultant of the forces acting on the closing element counteracting the direction of insertion of the closing element into the receiving recess.
- the jaw members may be pivotally received in a pivot axis in the lock housing so that the jaw members are movable toward and away from each other by rotation about the pivot axis.
- the leg spring is arranged in such a way, are biased in the jaw members by the bias of the leg spring in the direction that the jaw elements are moved toward each other by the bias.
- the leg spring may include a turn portion extending about the pivot axis. The turn portion may consist of one or more turns of the leg spring, wherein the spring wire of the leg spring merges into respective leg portions, wherein the jaw members are biased by the leg portions of the leg spring in the arrangement in which the closing element is kraftbeetzschlagbar.
- the pivot axis is fixedly arranged in the lock housing and may be designed in the form of a pin which extends through respective holes in the jaw members and thus a hinge arrangement of the jaw members is formed in the lock housing.
- the jaw members form in their movement about the pivot axis a pincer-like arrangement, wherein the jaw members for damping engagement against the closing element may have elastic pressure elements.
- the pressure elements can be made in one piece with the jaw elements or - in particular easily replaceable - have rubber elements which are arranged on the jaw elements in order to avoid a metal-metal arrangement between the jaw members and the closing element.
- the jaw elements can be made in one piece with the pressure elements and consist of a plastic material. This results between the closing element and the jaw elements, a friction pair, of a metallic friction partner and a friction partner of a plastic material.
- FIGS. 1 a and 1b show a first embodiment of a damping device of a lock 1 for closing a flap of a motor vehicle, wherein the flap preferably relates to the tailgate of the motor vehicle.

Opposite is located either in the door or in the context of the motor vehicle, a closing element 12, which is designed as a wire bracket according to the illustration. If the flap of the motor vehicle is open, the closing element 12 is located outside the receiving recess 14 in the lock housing 10, but if the flap of the motor vehicle is closed, the closing element 12 is inserted from the insertion direction 19 into the receiving recess 14 into the lock housing 10.
- the latch 11 Closes the lock 1, the flap of the motor vehicle, the latch 11 is pivoted within the lock housing 10, the latch 11 releases the closing element 12 in a release position and in a closed position as shown in FIG Figure 1 b the closing element 12 encloses, so that the flap is closed on the motor vehicle.
- the latch 11 is in the closed position, and the closing element 12 is received in the receiving recess 14 in the lock housing 10, so by the operation of the motor vehicle and due to the sluggish mass of the flap, a movement of the closing element 12 in the in Figure 1 b shown closed position occur. This movement can lead to a rattling noise, so that a damping device may be required to suppress occurring rattling noises.
- the damping device has a spring element 13a, which is designed as a leg spring 13a and which applies force to the closing element 12 via the jaw elements 15a and 15b shown on the left side and right side of the closing element 12.
- the jaw members 15a and 15b are tongs-like relative mutually movable and are pivotable about a pivot axis 16 in the lock housing 10.
- the jaw elements 15a and 15b are subjected to such a force by the leg spring 13a, so that pressure elements 26a and 26b present on the jaw elements 15a and 15b protrude into the movement region of the closing element 12 within the receiving recess 14.
- the pressure elements 26a and 26b include in the situation shown a first opening angle ⁇ 1, wherein the jaw elements 15a and 15b by the leg spring 13a in the in FIG. 1 a shown position are biased.
- the jaw elements 15a and 15b are pressed apart by the pressure contact of the closing element 12 against the pressure elements 26a and 26b against the spring force of the leg spring 13a.
- the pressing members 26a and 26b include a second opening angle ⁇ 2 that is larger than the first opening angle ⁇ 1.
- the opening movement of the jaw elements 15a and 15b takes place against the spring tension of the leg spring 13a, so that the closing element 12 in the in Figure 1 b shown closed position by the pressure elements 26a and 26b against the latch 11 is subjected to force.
- the resultant force from the respective force-transmitting contact of both the first pressure element 26a and the second pressure element 26b runs counter to the insertion direction 19, so that the damping device consequently forces the closing element 12 against the latch 11.
- FIGS. 2a and 2 B show a non-inventive lock 1 with a damping device comprising a leaf spring 13b.
- the leaf spring 13b is accommodated in the lock housing 10 and protrudes with a partial section into the receiving recess 14. If the closing element 12 is inserted from the insertion direction 19 indicated by an arrow into the receiving recess 14, the closing element 12 comes into contact with the leaf spring 13b.
- FIG. 2a shows a position of the closing element 12 in the receiving recess 14 with a contact of the closing element 12 to the leaf spring 13b, but this is not yet resiliently deformed. If the closing element 12 continues into the receiving recess 14th inserted, the leaf spring 13b is bent in the direction of the insertion direction 19, wherein, as shown in FIG FIG.
- the leaf spring 13b is shown in a dashed view showing the position of the leaf spring 13b in the non-urged arrangement as in FIG. 1 indicates, wherein the representation of the leaf spring 13 b in FIG. 2b corresponds to the bent position.
- the latch 11 surrounds the closing element 12, so that the latch 11 is in the closed position.
- the leaf spring 13b is firmly clamped in a fixed bearing 29 in the lock housing 11, and movably guided in a guide arrangement 17b.
- the fixed bearing 29 and the guide arrangement 17b are located in the respective end region of the leaf spring 13b, so that the leaf spring 13b has a free bending length between the end regions.
- the guide arrangement 17b comprises a sliding element 28, which is connected to an end region of the leaf spring 13b (shown on the right-hand side).
- the sliding element 28 is guided in a groove 27, which is present in the form of a recess within the lock housing 10. If the leaf spring 13b is subjected to a force by the closing element 12, and the bending line of the leaf spring 13b changes, a movement of the sliding element 28 within the groove 27 can result in a compensation movement of the at least one end region of the leaf spring 13b.
- the direction of movement of the sliding element 28 within the groove 27 can be arranged approximately perpendicular to the insertion direction 19 for insertion of the closing element 12 in the receiving recess 14.
- Figure 2c shows by way of example a non-inventive leaf spring package 13b ', which is formed from a plurality of leaf springs 13b.
- a clamping element 31 is shown, which surrounds the leaf springs 13b and holds in a mutually arranged position.
- both the first end portion of the leaf spring 13b in a first guide assembly 17a and the second end portion of the leaf spring 13b are movably received within the lock housing 10 in a second guide assembly 17b.
- the leaf spring package 13b ' is each end connected to a sliding member 28 which is movably received in a respective groove 27.
- a positioning of the leaf spring assembly 13b ' is achieved by the clamping element 31, which has a contour has, which is complementary to the shape of the closing element 12, for example in the form of a wire element having a round cross-section formed.

The present invention is directed to a lock for closing a flap and in particular a tailgate of a motor vehicle according to the preamble of
The use of an elastic element as a stop buffer has the disadvantage that over a longer period of use of the castle, the elasticity of the elastic stop buffer decreases. In particular, when the closing element remains permanently through the latch in the closed position, the elastic element is also permanently subjected to force. Over the longer period of use, the rubber or plastic material ages, and the damping effect of the damping device formed by the stop buffer decreases, which can cause rattling noises in the lock.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a lock for closing a flap and in particular a tailgate of a motor vehicle with a damping device, wherein the damping device allows over the period of use of the motor vehicle improved damping effect.
This object is achieved on the basis of a lock for closing a flap of a motor vehicle with a damping device according to the preamble of
The invention includes the technical teaching that the spring element is designed as a leg spring, wherein two tong-like at least relatively movable jaw members are movably received in the lock housing, which are biased by the spring element in a jaw closing position.
Advantageously, a spring element is used, which is designed as a metallic spring element and has no significant aging over the service life of the castle. In particular, the advantage of preventing rattling noises of the closing element in the closed position of the lock is achieved in that the spring element forces the closing element against the lock catch in order to create a spring clamping of the closing element. If the closing element is outside the lock, then the spring element assumes a force-relaxed position. If the closing element is inserted into the lock, the spring element is transferred from the force-tensioned to the force-tensioned position. The prestressing of the spring element achieved thereby relates exclusively to the elastic region of the spring element which is not subject to any appreciable aging and consequently no lowering of the spring preload of the closing element in the lock.
Preferably, the lock housing has a receiving recess into which the closing element can be inserted from an insertion direction in order to reach the closed position. Often, the closing element is designed as a striker and placed in the door side panel of the motor vehicle or in the tailgate of the motor vehicle. The lock is thus located on the arrangement of the striker corresponding, opposite side in the door or in the bottom region of the trunk, so that when closing the flap of the motor vehicle, the closing element is inserted into the receiving recess of the lock housing. An advantageous arrangement of the spring element results from the fact that the spring force caused by the spring element or the resulting acting on the closing element forces, also effected by the spring element, against the insertion of the closing element acts in the receiving recess on the closing element. When closing the flap of the motor vehicle, therefore, the biasing force of the spring element must be applied in the closing movement of the flap. This advantageously results in a damping effect of the movement of the flap of the motor vehicle shortly before the closed position of the flap on the motor vehicle.
Furthermore, locks for closing a flap of a motor vehicle are known which have an electromotively operable lock latch.
According to the invention, the spring element is designed as a leg spring, wherein the forceps-like at least relatively movable jaw elements are movably received in the lock housing, which are biased by the spring element in a jaw closing position. The jaw elements are arranged in the jaw closing position such that the jaw elements protrude at least partially into the receiving recess in the lock housing. It is thereby achieved that upon insertion of the closing element into the receiving recess, springback of the jaw elements takes place against the spring pretension of the leg spring. As a result, the closing element is subjected to force via two contacts by only one leg spring, the resultant of the forces acting on the closing element counteracting the direction of insertion of the closing element into the receiving recess.
The jaw members may be pivotally received in a pivot axis in the lock housing so that the jaw members are movable toward and away from each other by rotation about the pivot axis. The leg spring is arranged in such a way, are biased in the jaw members by the bias of the leg spring in the direction that the jaw elements are moved toward each other by the bias. The leg spring may include a turn portion extending about the pivot axis. The turn portion may consist of one or more turns of the leg spring, wherein the spring wire of the leg spring merges into respective leg portions, wherein the jaw members are biased by the leg portions of the leg spring in the arrangement in which the closing element is kraftbeaufschlagbar. The pivot axis is fixedly arranged in the lock housing and may be designed in the form of a pin which extends through respective holes in the jaw members and thus a hinge arrangement of the jaw members is formed in the lock housing. The jaw members form in their movement about the pivot axis a pincer-like arrangement, wherein the jaw members for damping engagement against the closing element may have elastic pressure elements. The pressure elements can be made in one piece with the jaw elements or - in particular easily replaceable - have rubber elements which are arranged on the jaw elements in order to avoid a metal-metal arrangement between the jaw members and the closing element. According to a further advantageous embodiment, the jaw elements can be made in one piece with the pressure elements and consist of a plastic material. This results between the closing element and the jaw elements, a friction pair, of a metallic friction partner and a friction partner of a plastic material.

The
