Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for treating skin diseases by kangaroo fish.
- the device comprises a healing well for performing the treatment and a cleaning station for cleaning the kangaroo fish. There is provided a connecting channel between the healing tub and the cleaning station.
- the invention further relates to a method for operating such a device.
- a device of this kind is in DE 20 2008 005 347 U1 described. Patients take a bath with the Kangal fish in the healing well. It is well known that kangaroo fish nibble on the skin of the patient and that this relieves the patient in a number of skin diseases. In general, devices of this type have the problem of satisfying both hygiene requirements and animal welfare concerns.
- DE 20 2008 005 347 U1 It is suggested that the kangaroo fish be lifted out of the healing well after treatment of each patient with a basket and inserted into the cleaning station for cleaning. By cleaning the kangaroo fish and the healing well, the risk of transmitting germs from a first patient to a second patient is reduced. Before the treatment of the subsequent patient, the kangaroo fish transferred again from the cleaning station in the Heilwanne. Transferring the kangaroo fish between the healing well and the cleaning station is cumbersome and requires a considerable amount of personnel.
- the invention is based on the object of presenting a device and an associated method which require less personnel. Based on the above-mentioned prior art, the object is achieved by the features of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments can be found in the subclaims.
- a pump is provided, with which a water flow can be generated through the connecting channel.
- the water flow is such that the kangaroo fish are transported by the flow of water between the healing well and the cleaning station.
- a stream of water directed from the healing trough to the cleaning station or vice versa is generated, with which the kangaroo fish are transported between the healing trough and the cleaning station.
- the treatment of the patient takes place, which consists in the fact that the Kangalfische nibble on the skin of the patient. This can either bathe the patient in total in the healing bath or he can hold individual body parts, such as the feet, in the healing well.
- the fish are cleaned.
- cleaning may involve exposing the kangaroo fish to a stream of water that contaminates detached from the surface, and that the kangaroo fish are exposed to a lower temperature compared to the temperature in the healing well to stimulate excretions that can be transported away with the water flow.
- the formulation that the kangaroo fish are transported between the healing well and the cleaning station includes both the possibility of transport from the cleaning station to the healing well and the possibility of transport from the healing well to the cleaning station.
- the flow of water generated by the pump allows Kangaroo fish to be transported in either or both directions.
- any means is considered in the invention, with which without the aid of gravity, a water flow through the connecting channel can be generated.
- a system which allows a transport of kangaroo fish between the healing well and the cleaning station, without the Kangalfische must be worn by an operator.
- the personnel deployment is reduced compared to known systems.
- the transport takes place without the kangaroo fish having to leave the water. While it is legal to carry the kangaroo fish back and forth several times a day using a basket between the cleaning station and the healing well, the stress for the kangaroo fish diminishes if they can stay in the water.
- both the transport of kangaroo fish from the cleaning station to the healing trough and vice versa take place through a connecting channel.
- the kangaroo fish follow a stream of water directed through the connecting channel.
- gravity is used to generate the water flow.
- the cleaning station and the Heilwanne are arranged to different levels and the connecting channel extends with a steady slope between the two, so that by opening the connecting channel by itself a stream of water from top to bottom is created, which carries the fish with it. Only for the transport in the opposite direction, a pump for generating the water flow is required.
- the cleaning station it is possible to arrange the cleaning station at a higher level than the healing well. In many cases, however, the reverse arrangement will be preferable, in which the healing well is located higher than the cleaning station. In particular, this is the case when the cleaning station is arranged in a basement below the healing well. In this case, the treatment of a patient is completed and the patient has risen from the healing well, so the connection channel can be opened and the water flows with the fish from the healing tub in the cleaning station.
- a barrier may be provided for this purpose, which closes the connecting channel in a watertight manner in the closed state and, in the open state, allows the passage of water and kangaroo fish.
- the water can flow completely out of the healing well via the connecting channel. Another drain for the healing well is not required.
- the effluent from the healing trough water may be contaminated after the treatment of a patient with germs and therefore not be used for the treatment of other patients.
- the water is preferably discharged from the cleaning station, into which the water is passed with the kangaroo fish, via an outflow and either disposed of or sent for treatment.
- a fish grid is preferably arranged, can drain through the water, while fish are retained.
- the connecting channel is so large that the kangaroo fish can easily move through it.
- the smallest diameter of the connecting channel can be between 5 cm and 30 cm, preferably between 10 cm and 20 cm.
- the connecting channel can be round in cross section, other cross sections are possible. It turns out that kangaroo fish tend to follow a comparatively slow stream of water. Kangal fish are better carried by a faster water flow.
- the speed of the water flow may be, for example, higher than 0.5 m / s, preferably higher than 1 m / s, more preferably higher than 2 m / s.
- the inventive concept may be implemented in the form that only a single connection channel extends between the healing well and the cleaning station.
- a water flow in one direction generated, for the transport of the cleaning station in the healing well a stream of water in the opposite direction.
- this can be associated with the problem that germs remain in the connecting channel when flowing out of the water from the healing trough, which are flushed by the water flow in the opposite direction back into the healing trough.
- a first and a second connection channel between the cleaning station and the healing well can be provided.
- the first connection channel is intended for transport in one direction
- the second connection channel for transport in the other direction.
- a stream of water fed from a fresh water supply is preferably used for the transport of Kangalfische from the cleaning station in the healing well.
- the cleaned in the cleaning station fish are then transported without germs in the healing well.
- the pump is disposed between the fresh water supply and the cleaning station. The pump then sucks in fresh water from the fresh water supply and pumps it via the cleaning station and the connecting channel into the healing tub.
- a fish grid is arranged in the inflow between the pump and the cleaning station through which water can pass, but which prevents fish from being able to swim towards the pump.
- the pump is arranged in the connecting channel between the cleaning station and the healing well.
- the pump then sucks fresh water from the fresh water supply through the cleaning station and promotes the flow of water in the direction of the healing well.
- the fish move through the pump.
- pumps are known in which this is possible without risk to the fish.
- An essential part of the cleaning of the fish in the cleaning station may be that the fish are exposed to a stream of water directed through the cleaning station.
- This water flow is preferably fed from a fresh water supply. It can be provided that this water flow is generated for cleaning the fish with the same pump, which also generates the flow of water for the transport of fish from the cleaning station in the healing well.
- This can be achieved by the fact that when cleaning the fish, the drain is open, while the connection channel to the healing tub is closed watertight, and that the transport channel is open when transporting the fish towards the healing well, while the drain is closed waterproof.
- watertight barriers may be provided in the drain and the connecting channel, so that a water flow generated by the pump can be diverted by appropriately opening and closing the watertight barriers between the drain and the connecting channel.
- Fig. 1 shown device comprises a trained as a bathtub healing bath 10.
- a patient can get in with his whole body and take a bath together with Kangalfischen.
- Kangalfischen The kangaroo fish nibble on the skin of the patient and thereby relieve his discomfort.
- the treatment is completed, the patient gets out of healing well 10 and leaves the water with the kangaroo fish.
- connection channel 11 made of stainless steel extends to a deeper cleaning station 12.
- the connection channel 11 is closed with a watertight barrier 13. If the treatment of the patient has been completed and the patient has left the healing well 10, the barrier 13 is opened. The water flows from the healing trough 10 under the influence of gravity and generates a flow of water through the connecting channel 11 in the direction of the cleaning station 12.
- a drain 14 extends in the drain 14, a fish grid 15 and a watertight barrier 16 are arranged. Furthermore, an inflow 17, in which a fish grid 18 and a watertight barrier 19 are likewise provided, extends from the cleaning station.
- the fish lattices 15, 18 are permanently installed, the watertight barriers 16, 19 can be opened and closed.
- the watertight barrier 19 in the inflow 17 is closed and the watertight barrier 16 in the drain 14 is open.
- the water stream then flows through the cleaning station 12 into the drain 14.
- the kangaroo fish can not follow the flow of water due to the fish grid 15 into the drain 14, so the fish remain in the cleaning station 12.
- the healing well 10 is empty, the water flow ends which flows from the healing tub 10 through the connecting channel 11 into the cleaning station 12.
- the barrier 13 in the connection channel 11 is closed, so that the fish are enclosed in the cleaning station 12.
- the cleaning station 12 and the drain 14 are designed such that the cleaning station 12 remains filled with water when the water flow from the healing well 10 ends. So it is always water in the cleaning station 12, where the fish can swim.
- both the fish and the water in the cleaning station 12 may be contaminated with germs from the previously treated patient.
- the watertight barrier 19 in the inflow 17 is opened. Fresh water from a fresh water reservoir 21 is sucked in via a pump 20 arranged in the inflow 17 and pumped into the cleaning station 12. The result is a stream of water, which extends from the inflow 17 through the cleaning station 12 into the drain 14.
- the fish are exposed to the flow of water in the cleaning station 12, the fish being prevented from leaving the cleaning station 12 by the fish grids 15, 18 and the barrier 13.
- the cleaning effect is achieved on the one hand, that germs that adhere to the surface of the fish are rinsed by the flow of water.
- the water supplied by the inflow 17 is a few degrees cooler than the water in the healing well 10, so that the fish are stimulated to increased excretions. The precipitates are also transported away by the water flow.
- the cleaning of the fish is in DE 20 2008 005 347 U1 described in detail.
- the pump 20 is turned off and the watertight barrier 16 in the drain 14 is closed.
- the cleaning station 12 is now thoroughly rinsed and the fish swim in fresh water.
- the cleaning process takes about 10 minutes.
- the healing well 10 is cleaned and prepared for the next patient during this time.
- new water is introduced into the healing well 10, which has a pleasant bathing temperature for the patient.
- the fish from the cleaning station 12 are transported back to the healing trough 10.
- the barrier 13 is opened in the connecting channel 11 and the pump 20 is turned on.
- the result is a stream of water fed from the fresh water supply 21, which extends from the inflow 17 via the cleaning station 12, through the connecting channel 11 into the healing trough 10.
- the stream of water is so strong that it carries the fish with it or the fish follow it voluntarily.
- the barrier 13 in the connecting channel 11 is closed and the pump 20 is turned off.
- the treatment of the next patient can begin. Theoretically, the fish could swim through the connection channel 11 to the barrier 13. It turns out, however, that the fish do not voluntarily enter the narrow connection channel 11 if they have the chance to swim in the healing well 10.
- a first connection channel 23 is provided for the transport of the fish from the healing well 10 in the cleaning station 12 and a second connection channel 24 for the transport of the fish from the cleaning station 12 in the healing well 10.
- the healing tub 10 is embedded in the bottom 22 of an upper floor.
- the two connection channels 23, 24 extend through the bottom 22 to the cleaning station 12, which is arranged in an underlying projectile.
- a cover 34 is arranged in the healing trough 10, which allows a passage of the fish between the healing trough 10 and the connecting channel 23 in the open state and just in the closed state with the bottom of the healing trough 10.
- watertight barriers 25, 26, 27 are arranged, which are all closed during the treatment of a patient. After completion of the treatment, the barrier 25 is opened so that the water from the healing well 10 flows through the connection channel 23 into the cleaning station 12. The fish are transported by the flow of water from the healing well 10 in the cleaning station 12. About the drain 14, the water flows from the cleaning station 12 from. The fish grid 15 ensures that the fish can not follow the flow of water to the drain 14, but remain in the cleaning station 12. The discharged through the drain 14 water is either disposed of or processed. Only after sufficient treatment, the water can be supplied to the system according to the invention again.
- the barrier 25 is closed, so that the fish are enclosed in the cleaning station 12.
- a water flow fed from the fresh water supply 21 is generated by the pump 20, which extends via the inflow 17 and the cleaning station 12 into the outflow 14.
- the barrier 16 in the drain 14 is closed.
- the barriers 26 and 27 are opened and it is generated with the pump 21 water flow extending from the fresh water supply 21 via the inflow 17, the cleaning station 12 and the second connection channel 24 extends into the healing well 10.
- the stream of water carries the fish with them and transports them from the cleaning station 12 in the healing well 10.
- a control unit 28 is provided, via which the described sequence can be controlled automatically.
- the control unit 28 comprises a warning light 29, which indicates the completion of the cleaning process.
- This embodiment has the advantage that the transport paths from the healing well 10 into the cleaning station 12 and vice versa are separated from each other. This reduces the risk that impurities that have settled in the drainage channel 10 when flowing out of the water from the healing tub 10, can be flushed back into the healing bath 10.
- a footwell healing tub 10 is provided.
- the patient sits on the floor 22, in which the healing well 10 is embedded, and bathes his feet in the healing well 10.
- the cleaning station 12 which is connected via a connecting channel 30 with the healing trough 10, is arranged higher than the healing trough 10.
- a pump 31 is in the connecting channel 30 arranged.
- the pump 31 generates a stream of water from the healing well 10 into the cleaning station 12 which carries the fish with it.
- the pump 31 has a passage whose diameter corresponds to the diameter of the connecting channel 30. Even if the pump 31 is in operation, can the fish, together with the stream of water, cross the pump 31 without being damaged.
- the waterproof barrier 32 arranged in the connecting channel 30 is opened, so that the water flows under the influence of gravity through the connecting channel 30 and the pump 31 in the healing well 10 and the fish with it leads.
- a further connection channel 36 extends between the cleaning station 12 and an overnight basin 35. If the fish are no longer used for the treatment of patients in one day, a barrier 37 is opened in the connecting channel 36 after completion of the cleaning process and there is a stream of water, which transports the fish from the cleaning station 12 into the overnight basin 35. In the overnight basin 35 the fish stay until the next day. To bring the fish back to the cleaning station 12 prior to the treatment of the next patient, a pump 38 is turned on in the connection channel 36, which generates a stream of water directed from the overnight basin 35 into the cleaning station 12 carrying the fish with it.
- FIG. 4 an embodiment shown in which the flow of water between the healing well 10 and the cleaning station 12 does not adjust in either direction alone under the influence of gravity. Rather, two pumps 31, 34 are provided for transporting the kangaroo fish in both directions.

Against this background, the invention is based on the object of presenting a device and an associated method which require less personnel. Based on the above-mentioned prior art, the object is achieved by the features of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments can be found in the subclaims.
In the apparatus according to the invention a pump is provided, with which a water flow can be generated through the connecting channel. The water flow is such that the kangaroo fish are transported by the flow of water between the healing well and the cleaning station. In the method according to the invention, a stream of water directed from the healing trough to the cleaning station or vice versa is generated, with which the kangaroo fish are transported between the healing trough and the cleaning station.
First, some terms are explained. In the healing well, the treatment of the patient takes place, which consists in the fact that the Kangalfische nibble on the skin of the patient. This can either bathe the patient in total in the healing bath or he can hold individual body parts, such as the feet, in the healing well.
In the cleaning station, the fish are cleaned. For example, cleaning may involve exposing the kangaroo fish to a stream of water that contaminates detached from the surface, and that the kangaroo fish are exposed to a lower temperature compared to the temperature in the healing well to stimulate excretions that can be transported away with the water flow. There are also other processes for cleaning the fish possible.
The formulation that the kangaroo fish are transported between the healing well and the cleaning station includes both the possibility of transport from the cleaning station to the healing well and the possibility of transport from the healing well to the cleaning station. The flow of water generated by the pump allows Kangaroo fish to be transported in either or both directions. As a pump, any means is considered in the invention, with which without the aid of gravity, a water flow through the connecting channel can be generated.
With the invention, a system is presented, which allows a transport of kangaroo fish between the healing well and the cleaning station, without the Kangalfische must be worn by an operator. The personnel deployment is reduced compared to known systems. In addition, the transport takes place without the kangaroo fish having to leave the water. While it is legal to carry the kangaroo fish back and forth several times a day using a basket between the cleaning station and the healing well, the stress for the kangaroo fish diminishes if they can stay in the water.
In the system according to the invention, both the transport of kangaroo fish from the cleaning station to the healing trough and vice versa take place through a connecting channel. In both directions, the kangaroo fish follow a stream of water directed through the connecting channel. It is possible to generate the water flow in both directions by means of a pump. Preferably, in one of the two directions, gravity is used to generate the water flow. The cleaning station and the Heilwanne are arranged to different levels and the connecting channel extends with a steady slope between the two, so that by opening the connecting channel by itself a stream of water from top to bottom is created, which carries the fish with it. Only for the transport in the opposite direction, a pump for generating the water flow is required.
It is possible to arrange the cleaning station at a higher level than the healing well. In the connecting channel, a barrier may be provided for this purpose, which closes the connecting channel in a watertight manner in the closed state and, in the open state, allows the passage of water and kangaroo fish.
If the connecting channel opens at the lowest point of the healing well, the water can flow completely out of the healing well via the connecting channel. Another drain for the healing well is not required. The effluent from the healing trough water may be contaminated after the treatment of a patient with germs and therefore not be used for the treatment of other patients. For this reason, the water is preferably discharged from the cleaning station, into which the water is passed with the kangaroo fish, via an outflow and either disposed of or sent for treatment. In the drain of the cleaning station a fish grid is preferably arranged, can drain through the water, while fish are retained.
The connecting channel is so large that the kangaroo fish can easily move through it. The smallest diameter of the connecting channel can be between 5 cm and 30 cm, preferably between 10 cm and 20 cm. The connecting channel can be round in cross section, other cross sections are possible. It turns out that kangaroo fish tend to follow a comparatively slow stream of water. Kangal fish are better carried by a faster water flow. The speed of the water flow may be, for example, higher than 0.5 m / s, preferably higher than 1 m / s, more preferably higher than 2 m / s.
The inventive concept may be implemented in the form that only a single connection channel extends between the healing well and the cleaning station. For the transport of kangaroo fish from the healing well into the cleaning station then a water flow in one direction generated, for the transport of the cleaning station in the healing well a stream of water in the opposite direction. However, this can be associated with the problem that germs remain in the connecting channel when flowing out of the water from the healing trough, which are flushed by the water flow in the opposite direction back into the healing trough. There is a risk that a subsequent patient may come into contact with the germs of a previous patient. To avoid this, a first and a second connection channel between the cleaning station and the healing well can be provided. The first connection channel is intended for transport in one direction, the second connection channel for transport in the other direction.
For the transport of Kangalfische from the cleaning station in the healing well, a stream of water fed from a fresh water supply is preferably used. The cleaned in the cleaning station fish are then transported without germs in the healing well. In one embodiment, the pump is disposed between the fresh water supply and the cleaning station. The pump then sucks in fresh water from the fresh water supply and pumps it via the cleaning station and the connecting channel into the healing tub. Preferably, a fish grid is arranged in the inflow between the pump and the cleaning station through which water can pass, but which prevents fish from being able to swim towards the pump.
Alternatively, it is also possible that the pump is arranged in the connecting channel between the cleaning station and the healing well. The pump then sucks fresh water from the fresh water supply through the cleaning station and promotes the flow of water in the direction of the healing well. In this embodiment, the fish move through the pump. In the prior art pumps are known in which this is possible without risk to the fish.
An essential part of the cleaning of the fish in the cleaning station may be that the fish are exposed to a stream of water directed through the cleaning station. This water flow is preferably fed from a fresh water supply. It can be provided that this water flow is generated for cleaning the fish with the same pump, which also generates the flow of water for the transport of fish from the cleaning station in the healing well. This can be achieved by the fact that when cleaning the fish, the drain is open, while the connection channel to the healing tub is closed watertight, and that the transport channel is open when transporting the fish towards the healing well, while the drain is closed waterproof. For this purpose, watertight barriers may be provided in the drain and the connecting channel, so that a water flow generated by the pump can be diverted by appropriately opening and closing the watertight barriers between the drain and the connecting channel.

From the lowest point of the healing well 10, a
From the cleaning
When the water flow from the used bath water and kangaroo fish arrives at the cleaning
The cleaning process takes about 10 minutes. In parallel, the
In order not to burden the fish too much, they should come into contact with no more than five patients per day. In the connecting
If the water has completely drained from the healing well 10 and all fish have arrived at the cleaning
This embodiment has the advantage that the transport paths from the healing well 10 into the cleaning

The cleaning
When the fish in the cleaning
