Der Vorteil einer solchen Adhäsionsverbindung ist, dass die Montage der Außenwand am jeweiligen Gehäuseteil einfacher, und somit auch die Fertigung eines solchen Kältegeräts einfacher und damit kostengünstiger ausgeführt werden kann. Darüber hinaus kann insbesondere auf eine mechanische Verbindung der Glasplatte mit dem Gehäuseteil ggf. verzichtet werden. Dies hat zur Folge, dass durch den Wegfall mechanischer Verbindungselemente, wie beispielsweise Führungsschienen und Metallplatten bzw. Metallklammern, auch nahezu keine mechanische Belastungen, wie zum Beispiel Verspannungen, auf die Glasplatte bei der Montage einwirken. Diese Adhäsions-Verbindungstechnik führt daher auch zu einer material- bzw. ressourcenschonenderen Herstellung des jeweiligen Kältegeräts.
