Abstract

A pack for, in particular, lump-form material comprises a sealed inner pack (11) having a removal opening (21) and closure flap (24), an outer pack (10) having a box part or base part (27) and a movable closure part (28), as well as a covering part (12) between the inner pack (11) and outer pack (10), the covering part (12) having an opening or a window (55) in the region of the removal opening (21) of the inner pack (11).

description

The invention relates to a pack of (thin) cardboard or similar packaging material for receiving lumpy or granular package contents, in particular of chewing tobacco or chewing tobacco substitute, so-called snus portions.

The package should have a user-friendly operability for the intended application area. In addition, a higher density of the package against moisture and aroma loss is sought. Also, the package should be produced with low material costs on efficient packaging machines.

The invention is therefore based on the object to propose packages of different design, which meet the above requirements.

To solve this problem, the package according to the invention is characterized by the following features:

a) an outer pack consists of at least one base part or box part and a pivotable and / or displaceable closure part or cover, b) in the outer pack 10, an insert or cover part consisting of a separate blank is arranged for partially enclosing an inner space of the outer pack, c) the cover part extends at least on a front or removal side of the outer pack, wherein the removal side of the outer pack is at least partially covered by the cover part, d) a front side of the cover part facing the removal side of the outer pack, namely a cover front wall, has an opening or a closed around recess or a window for removing the contents of the package from the outer package.

According to an independent alternative, a generally closed inner pack of film or the like is arranged in the outer pack, which accommodates the contents of the pack. The inner pack has a closure by a removable closure flap bare removal opening, which can be arranged in the region of the recess or the window of the cover and can be operated with the outer package open.

Two basic concepts are provided for the outer packaging: In a first embodiment, the contents of the package are arranged directly in the outer package and covered only by the covering part with window for removing the contents in the region of the closure side. In the alternative, the package contents are arranged in a preferably closed inner package and inserted into the outer package, also with a cover member with window, which is mounted in the region of a removal opening of the inner package.

The cover of a separate blank is in the simplest embodiment a collar of a pack of the folding box type. Advantageously, a cover part is provided with at least one covering front wall covering a front side or the removal side of the outer package, which has a window at a suitable location for the removal of the contents of the package when the outer package is open. The cover can also be designed so that it completely surrounds the inner package or the interior of the outer package, so forms an independent, all-sided or predominantly closed pack.

The packs shown as embodiments are preferably intended for receiving lumpy packaged goods, in particular for receiving chewing tobacco pieces (snus). The differently shaped embodiments consist of a matching outer package 10 and a cover at least front, so in the region of a pack front or in the region of an open side in the outer pack 10 cover 12 from a separate blank. Preferably, outer package 10 and cover 12 are made of (thin) cardboard. The cover member 12 may be formed in various ways, in a simplest embodiment as a front-side collar (in a folding box), but preferably as a three-dimensional folded structure which fills an interior of the outer package 10. Preferably, the cover member 12 is provided at least with a cover wall or cover front wall, which covers an interior of the outer package 10 and has a recess or a window for access to the interior of the outer package 10. The recess or the window is used to remove the package contents.

The package contents can be arranged directly in the outer package (10) or within the cover part 12 folded as the inner part of the outer package 10. Alternatively, an inner pack 11 is provided which receives the package contents. The inner package 11 may be formed in various ways. In the present embodiments, the inner package 1 1 consists of a sealed film bag 13 in the embodiment as a tubular bag with opposite sealing seams 14. These are designed as a fin seam. The inner pack approximately cuboid 11 is preferably dimensioned such that an inner space of the outer pack 10 is approximately completely filled. The inner package 11 has a large-scale inner front wall 15 and a correspondingly formed, opposite inner rear wall 16. These are connected by elongated, narrower inner side walls 17, 18 with each other. Furthermore, the inner package 11 is bounded by transverse inner end walls 19, 20, in the region of the closure seams 14 are formed.

For the removal of the contents of the package, the inner package 11 or the foil bag 13 has a removal opening 21. This is originally also sealed, through an opening piece 22 of the material of the inner pack 11. The opening piece 22 is bounded by a preferably running around weakening line, here by a closed perforation line 23. To create the removal opening 21, the opening piece 22 from the compound separated out with the film of the inner pack 11. For the first opening of the inner package 11 and for multiple opening and reclosing a closure tab 24 is attached to the outside of the inner package 11. This consists of a separate blank preferably also made of a film. The closure tab 24 is connected by adhesive bonding, in particular by full-surface bonding, in the region of the removal opening 21 with the inner package 11. The opening piece 22 is completely covered by the locking tab 24, to form a lateral, preferably running around, strip-like cover 25. At a selected for easy opening of the inner pack 11 edge of the locking tab 24, a pull tab 26 is formed. This is a tongue-like edge region of the closure tab 24 and preferably free of adhesive. The position and dimension of the removal opening 21 and the closure flap 24 are aligned with the exterior package 10 and cover 12, such that in an open position of the outer package 10, the closure flap 24 can be used, in particular by detecting the grip tab 26. Exterior package 10 and inner pack 11 and cover 12 are matched in terms of dimensions, but also functional, so constructive, each other. The outer package 10 consists in its basic construction of a base part or box part 27 and a closure part 28, which is predominantly designed as a cover 29.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 5, the outer pack 10 is a folding box with special proportions known in its construction. At a lower box part 27, a lid 29 is integrally attached as a closure part. The inner package 11 (Fig. 3) is suitably arranged in the folding box, in such a way that the closure seams 14 of the film bag 13 directed sideways, so narrow, upright Side walls 30 of the outer pack 10 are facing. The closure seams 14 are therefore arranged concealed inside the package.

The removal opening 21 extends in this embodiment, the inner package 11 "across", namely in a region of the inner front wall 15 and upwardly facing, adjacent inner side wall 17. The closure flap 24 thus also extends in the region of the inner front wall 15, the inner side wall 17 and ends with a connecting strip 31 on the inner rear wall 16. The closure construction of the inner package 11 is generally free with the lid 29 open (FIG. 2). The closure tab 24 can be grasped and opened on the pull tab 26. The adhesive-bonded closure flap 24 is preferably detached from the inner pack 11 up to an edge 32 facing the rear wall 16 of the bag, exposing the removal opening 21. The closure flap 24 remains in contact with the inner pack 11.

The cover member 12 of this embodiment of the outer package 10 is formed as a collar 33 with collar front wall 34 and collar side tabs 35. The closure seams 14 of the film bag 13 abut the collar side tabs 35 at least in an upper region. On the front side, the removal opening 15 extends in the region of the bag front wall 34 into a collar depression 36 formed on the collar front wall 34, in the region of which the grip tab 26 is also free, that is to say detectable.

A blank (Fig. 4) for the outer package 10 according to Fig. 1, Fig. 2 consists in a known manner of successive areas for box front wall 37, bottom wall 38, box rear wall 39, lid rear wall 40, end wall 41 and lid Front wall 42. Lid rear wall 40 and box rear wall 39 are connected to each other by a line joint 43. The wall areas of the blank are dimensioned so that box pretext 37 and lid front wall 42 have approximately the same dimensions. A dividing line 44 between the box part 27 and cover 29 is arranged approximately halfway up the outer package 10.

Also in the embodiment of FIG. 6 to FIG. 11, the outer package 10 is structurally designed as a folding box. Box part 27 and cover 29 are formed in a comparable manner as in the preceding embodiment. The foreign Pack 10 is cuboid, with proportions that are predominant in cigarette packs of this type. To facilitate access to the package contents or to the inner package 11, there is a special feature in the proportions. The lid front wall 39 has a comparatively larger dimension in the longitudinal direction of the pack, in any case substantially larger or higher than the box front wall 37. Preferably, the lid front wall 42 has twice the height of the box front wall 37. This results in a correspondingly large part the contents of the package at the front with the lid open 29 free.

The rectangular inner pack 11 with foil bag 13 is arranged in the outer pack 10 of this embodiment, that the closure seams 14 are directed upwards or downwards. The removal opening 21 is here completely positioned in the region of the inner front wall 15, specifically at a distance from inner side walls 17, 18 and from the inner end walls 19, 20 with the closing seams 14. The removal opening 21 is off-center in an upper one The removal opening 21 is covered by a closure tab 24 which extends completely and exclusively in the region of the inner front wall 15. The closure flap 14 is dimensioned such that it completely covers the removal opening 21 and is connected to the inner front wall 15 outside the removal opening 21 with an edge running around it. A grip tab 26 is arranged at the lower edge of the closure tab 24.

The cover member 12 is formed in this embodiment in a special way, namely as an intermediate package, preferably made of thin cardboard. A blank (Figure 11) for the cover member 12 is formed so that the inner package 11 is completely surrounded by the blank of the cover member 12. The cover member 12 includes a cover front wall 45, a cover back wall 46, a cover bottom 47, a cover end wall 48, and cover side tabs 49, 50 for forming cover sidewalls 51. The cover end wall 48 is provided with a connection tab 52, which is connected at the finished cover 12 on the inside with an upper edge region of the cover front wall 45 by gluing. Corner flaps 53, 54 in extension of the cover side flaps 50 are located on the inside of the Äbdeck floor 47 and the covering end wall 48 and are preferably connected thereto. The result is a dimensionally stable unit of inner packing 11 and cover 12 as a package content for the outer pack 10. The blank for the Cover member 12 is formed in this embodiment according to the principle of longitudinal or bottom fold, in the cover front wall 45, cover bottom 47 and cover rear wall 46 follow one another in the longitudinal direction of the blank. The blank can also be designed analogously to the principle of Querwickeins.

The cover part 12 is provided with a recess or a window 55 in the region of the removal opening 21 of the inner package 11, in this case in the region of the cover front wall 45. The window 55 is dimensioned so that the closure flap 24 for the removal opening 21 in total in the area the cover front wall 45 is exposed. Advantageously, the arrangement and dimension, such that the grip tab 26 abuts at least a portion outside the window 55 on the cover front wall 45 and can be easily detected. In the complete package, the pull tab 26 is located in an area between a lower edge of the window 55 and a free edge of the box front wall 37. When the lid 29 is closed, the shutter mechanism of the inner pack 11 is completely concealed (Figure 6).

A modified embodiment of the overall package is shown in FIGS. 12 and 13. The outer package 10 is formed in the same way as in the embodiment according to FIG. 6, FIG. 7. Furthermore, the cover part 12 is designed as a packaged inner part which is closed on all sides and fits into the outer package 10. In this embodiment, an inner package 11 or a foil bag 13 for receiving the package contents is not present. The package contents forming pieces are disposed directly in the cover 12, which acts like an inner pack.

The window 55 arranged on the cover front wall 45 may be open in this variant or, as shown, be covered by a closure tab 24. This is here attached to the outside of the cover 12, namely fixed by gluing, especially by permanent adhesive. The closure tab 24 is sized to cover the window 55, including a preferably continuous overlap 25. The pull tab 26 is directed downwards, but is exposed when the lid 29 is open. The closure flap 24 can be completely removed when the package is used for the first time, or with a corresponding fixation of the closure flap 24 in the region of a connecting strip facing the cover end wall 48. A special pack for unitary packaged goods is shown in FIGS. 14 to 24. The outer package 10 consists of two relatively movable by moving packing parts, namely a relatively smaller base portion 27 and a displaceable, larger closure member 28. These packing parts are divided by a dividing line 56 running around each other. Base part 27 and closure part 28 are formed from a common blank, for example in the embodiment according to FIG. 20. This blank is severed on first opening by the consumer or during the manufacture of the package along the parting line 56, which within the blank partially as a continuous separating cut and partially formed as a perforation line.

The base part 27 consists of box front wall 37, bottom wall 38 (which, depending on the position of the pack, may also be directed upward) and box rear wall 39. In a special way, side flaps and corner flaps are formed, namely dimensioned. On the box front wall 37 outer tabs 57, 58 are arranged on both sides, which correspond in the transverse dimensions of the width of side walls 30 of the outer package 10. At the box rear wall 39 are laterally inner tabs 59, 60 attached with different width. An inner tab 59 is formed with a smaller width than the associated outer tabs 57, in particular approximately half the width. The opposite inner tab 60 is formed with the same width as the associated outer tabs 58. At the inner tabs 59 and 60, corner tabs 61, 62 are attached. These have the same width or transverse dimension as the associated inner tabs 59, 60.

In the finished outer package 10, the base part 27 looks like that in the region of side walls 30, the folded outer tabs 57, 58 extend over the full width (FIGS. 14, 15). On the one hand, the inner tab 60 extends on the inside of the outer flap 58 over the full package width. Opposite, the inner tab 59 extends only about half the height of the package on the inside of the outer flap 57. The tabs 57 and 59 and 58 and 60 are connected to each other by gluing. The corner tabs 61, 62 abut against the inside of the bottom wall 38. The blank part for the closure part 28 consists of a front wall 63, an end wall 64 (which may be bottom wall at a corresponding position) and a rear wall 65. The latter is connected to the base part 27 via the parting line 56, a perforation line only in the area of the box Rear wall 39 and rear wall 65 extended.

Side tabs of the closure part 28 are formed in a special way. On the front wall, outer side flaps 66, 67 are arranged opposite one another, which extend over the full length of the front wall 63 and over (approximately) the full width of the outer pack 10 or the closure part 28. Side tabs in the region of the rear wall 65 are deviating. On the one hand, a narrow inner side flap 68 is attached over the full length of the rear wall 65. The width of this inner side flap 68 corresponds (approximately) to half the width of the associated outer side flap 66. Opposite there is an inner side tab 69 on the rear wall 65, which is formed corresponding to the side tab 67 in terms of dimensions. At this inner side tab 69, a supplementary tab 70 is disposed on the free side and delimited by a fold line 71. The supplementary flap 70 is part of means for limiting the relative movements of the closure part 28 of the outer pack 10. A transverse nose 72 is attached to the supplementary flap 70 adjacent to the shaft part or base part 27 for this purpose.

The dividing line 56 for dividing the base part 27 from the closure part 28 consists within the one-piece blank (FIG. 20) in the region of the side flaps 68, 59 and 69, 60 of a punched cut 73, that is to say a continuous separation. In the area of rear wall 65 and box rear wall 39, a perforation line 74 is formed.

In a special way, the cover part 12 or its blank (FIG. 21) is formed. Here a construction according to the principle of transverse folding is chosen. The package may be provided with an inner package 11 of the described or another embodiment for the package contents. This embodiment is shown in FIGS. 15, 16 and 19. The opening mechanism, that is to say the removal opening 21 including closure flap 24, are arranged approximately centrally in the region of the inner front wall 15 (FIG. 19).

The unit of cover part 12 and inner pack 11 is arranged in the outer pack 10 in such a way that the (open) end face opposite the cover bottom wall is assigned to the cup-shaped base part 27. The cover member 12 is preferably anchored in the base member 27, for example by gluing. The arrangement is such that the outer contact strip 77 lies in the upper cross-sectional area of the outer package 10 and thus approximately in the same plane as the inner tab 59 in the region of the base part 27 and the inner side tabs 68 in the region of the closure part 28. After separation of the base part 27 and closure member 28, the latter can be moved on the cover 12, namely from a closed position shown in FIG. 14 in an open position shown in FIG. 15. The grip tab 26 is here too facing the base part 27, but exposed with the outer package 10 open (FIG. 22). Due to the (staggered) arrangement of the window 55 in the region of the cover front wall 45, an edge strip 82 of the closure flap 24 is arranged in the region of the connecting flap 79 and partially covered by it (FIGS. 22, 23). The described packing units are preferably provided with a (not shown) outer wrapper made of film, which is completely or partially removed on first use by means of tear strips.
