Claims (7)

  1. Precompressed sealing tape for sealing a joint, with an elastically resilient foam strip (2) extending further in the longitudinal direction than in the transverse direction, comprising two lateral surfaces (6) and two transverse surfaces (8, 9) connecting these lateral surfaces (6); and
    a foil-type wrapping (4), which completely surrounds the foam strip (2) and thereby holds it in a precompressed state;
    wherein a transverse surface (8) of the foam strip (2) is pressed against a strip-shaped element (24) made of cardboard or hard plastic, which is arranged inside the wrapping (4) and provides at least a certain resistance to bending in a transverse direction;
    characterised in that a double-sided adhesive strip connects the foam strip (2) to the strip-shaped element (24) and that the strip-shaped element (24) is adhesively connected to the wrapping (4).
  2. Precompressed sealing tape according to claim 1, characterised in that the strip-shaped element (24) is resistant to bending in the longitudinal direction.
  3. Precompressed sealing tape according to claim 2, characterised in that the sealing tape is wound into a roll.
  4. Precompressed sealing tape according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the wrapping (4) has a tear-open tab extending in the longitudinal direction, which serves as a pulling element to open the wrapping (4).
  5. Precompressed sealing tape according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the wrapping (4) is provided with at least one perforation line extending in the longitudinal direction of the sealing tape.
  6. Precompressed sealing tape according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the wrapping (4) is covered on its outer side by a double-sided adhesive tape (18) in the region of the same transverse surface (8) of the foam strip (2).
  7. Precompressed sealing tape according to claim 6, characterised in that the adhesive tape (18) is covered by a protective foil (20).
