Eine Folge davon ist, daß nur etwa die Hälfte der Stricksysteme einer üblichen Rundstrickmaschine mit einem Nadelzylinderdurchmesser von 30" tatsächlich nutzbar ist. Dadurch wird der Vorteil, daß die Zahl der erforderlichen Antriebe und damit das Investitionsvolumen aufgrund der Zusammenfassung einer Vielzahl von Streckwerken zu einer Streckwerksgruppe klein gehalten werden kann, durch die reduzierte Produktivität zumindest teilweise wieder aufgehoben. Strickstelle 6 ist ein Streckwerk 8 zugeordnet, dem ein aus einer Kanne 9 entnommenes Fasermaterial 10 in Form eines Faserbandes zugeführt wird. Alternativ kann das Fasermaterial 10 aus einer von Vorratsspulen abgezogenen Flyerlunte bestehen. Das Fasermaterial 10 wird im Streckwerk 8 in an sich bekannter Weise zu einem Faden verfeinert und vorzugsweise mittels eines Fadenführers 11 den Stricknadeln 3 zur Maschenbildung vorgelegt. Mit dem Bezugszeichen 12 ist ferner ein Hilfsfaden angedeutet, der dem Fadenführer 11 ebenfalls zugeführt werden kann.The
