Description

Description AN ELECTRIC MOTOR
[0001] The present invention relates to an electric motor.
[0002] In motors, the magnet or magnets placed inside the rotor interact magnetically with the windings on the stator by means of the magnetic flux radiated and provide the motor to rotate. The magnetic flux vectors are directed from the one pole to the other pole of the magnet without intersecting with each other. The distribution of the flux vectors changes with respect to the power of the magnetic field and the environment through which it passes. On the other hand, the most suitable form is attained in uniform distribution. There can be flux straying with very wide intervals at the end of the magnets due to particularly uniform distribution of the magnetic flux emitted from the corners thereof.
[0003] It is not possible to direct all of the magnetic flux into the stator because of the magnetic flux straying that occur particularly at the corners of magnets. The magnets are disposed on the rotor by means of laminae used for guiding the magnetic flux. Thus the efficient operation of the motor is maintained by guiding the maximum number of magnetic flux vectors into the motor. In the state of the art, various laminae applications are devised for guiding the magnetic flux on the stator without dispersing and straying for increasing motor efficiency.
[0004] In the state of the art Japanese Patent Applications No JP2005065417 and No JP2002136008 and the United States of America Patent Applications No US2002079768 and No US4954736, the straying of magnetic flux vectors at the magnet corners is prevented by side by side positioning of the magnetic ends of alternation poles.
[0005] Another embodiment is explained in state of the art Japanese Patent Application No JP2002136008. In the said document a magnet surrounded by a single laminated steel sheet is disposed inside a semi-circular void that particularly covers the side face thereof at the straying region of the corners. Thus the magnetic flux is intended to flow from the end portions adjacent to the laminae instead of the void.
[0006] The aim of the present invention is the realization of a motor wherein the magnetic flux vectors are directed without straying for increasing power and efficiency.
[0007] Realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention and explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, the explication is given as to how the magnet corners are covered by the magnetic retaining projections situated on the side laminae for preventing magnetic flux straying.
[0008] By means of the present invention, both magnetic flux straying is prevented and the magnets and the side laminae are held together.
[0009] The electric motor realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where: [0010] Figure 1 - is the schematic view of an electric motor.
[0011] The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
1. Electric motor
2. Stator
3. Rotor
4. Magnet
5. Side laminae
6. Intermediary laminae
7. Magnet retaining projection
[0012] The electric motor of the present invention (1) comprises a stator (2) and a rotor (3) moving inside the stator (2) and formed like a bundle by stacking the lamination plates produced of ferromagnetic material, preferably steel sheets.
[0013] The rotor (3) comprises two magnets (4) that create magnetic flux, one or more side laminae (5) disposed between the magnets (4) and the stator (2) and one or more intermediary laminae (6) remaining between the magnets (4). The magnet (4) is disposed vertical to the rotor (3) axis and configured as a rectangular prism. The lateral sides of the magnet (4) face the stator (2).
[0014] The electric motor (1) furthermore comprises a magnetic retaining projection (7) that holds the magnet (4) and the side laminae (5) together, formed on the side laminae (5) by bending towards the lateral sides of the magnet (4) facing the stator (2) such that the corners of the magnet (4) are enclosed in and prevents magnetic flux straying. The magnet retaining projections (7) prevent the straying magnetic flux vectors to be emitted irregularly from the magnet (4) corner and assist in conveying the magnetic flux vectors to the stator (2) (Figure 1).
[0015] In the preferred embodiment of the electric motor (1) of the present invention, the two magnets (4) with rectangular cross-sections disposed in the rotor (3) are positioned to be parallel and the opposite poles of each facing each other. The magnetic flux vectors between the two magnets (4) are directed from one pole of one of the magnets (4) towards the opposite pole of the other magnet (4) through the intermediary laminae (6). The magnetic flux vectors emitted from the poles of the magnets (4) facing the stator (2) are transmitted to the stator (2) by means of the side laminae (5). The side laminae (5) have a profile matching the inner geometry of the stator (2) so as to minimize the flux vectors emitted from the magnets (4) that pass through air. The surfaces of the side laminae (5) on the side of the magnet (4) are flat and the surfaces on the side of the stator (2) are semi-circular. The magnet retaining projections (7) disposed on the side laminae (5) prevent the magnetic flux straying formed at the corners of the magnet (4) by covering the corners of the magnet (4) facing the stator (2).
[0016] By means of covering the corners of the magnet (4) with the magnet retaining projections (7), the maximum number of magnetic flux vectors is directed to the stator (2) and these are guided inside the stator (2) to follow the longest possible path. [0017] In another embodiment of the present invention, the magnet retaining projections (7) cover an area less than half the width of the lateral side of the magnet (4) facing the stator (2). [0018] In another embodiment of the present invention, the magnet retaining projections (7) form a circular surface on the corner of the magnet (4) such that the magnetic flux vectors are directed vertically to the stator (2). The magnetic flux vectors are directed towards the intermediary laminae (6) by means of the magnet retaining projections (7) having a circular surface.
