Common are cork floorboards with a three-layer structure and profiled joining surfaces, the so-called click system, which is a mechanical Locking along the abutting edges of the floorboards allows. The carrier plate or middle layer consists of a high-density fibreboard (HDF). The click connection is milled into the carrier plate. As a cover or wear layer, a cork layer is laminated onto the carrier plate. Also usual is a return, which also consists of a cork layer. This also serves as impact sound lamination.

The well-known cork panels are available in different colors and looks. Nevertheless, there is a need to broaden the look and variation of this natural material.

The invention is therefore based on the prior art based on the object to provide a floor panels, which has a wear layer of cork with a striking appearance and a method for producing such a floor panels show.

The objective part of the object is achieved by a floor panels according to claim 1.

Eine vorteilhafte Ausgestaltung der erfindungsgemäßen Paneele ist Gegenstand der abhängigen Ansprüche 2 bis 6.An advantageous embodiment of the panels according to the invention is the subject of the dependent claims 2 to 6.

According to the invention, the top-side cork layer has an embossed surface structure. Preferably, the cork layer has a thickness of at least 2 mm. The cork layer itself can have a multilayer structure and, for example, consist of a cork veneer on a granulated cork. Of course, it is also possible to use a compact cork layer. The surface of the cork layer is printed with a decor, preferably with a two-layer printed image. To increase the resistance of the cork layer this is provided with a seal. This is possible in the form of the application of a paint, oil or wax layer.

The solution of the procedural part of the task is set forth in claim 7.

Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens sind Gegenstand der abhängigen Ansprüche 8 bis 15.Advantageous developments of the method according to the invention are the subject of the dependent claims 8 to 15.

The core of the process according to the invention is the embossing of a surface structure into the cork layer. In this way, decorative and durable surface structures in the cork layer can be created, which support the natural design of the cork layer and or add extra accents.

The cork layer is printed with a decor. The cork layer is printed before embossing the surface structure. This can be done in one or more print layers. Particularly attractive decors, e.g. with floral elements, can be generated by pressure rollers. As a result, the aesthetic effect of the embossed surface structure can be supported.

The optical properties as well as the performance characteristics and abrasion resistance of a floor panel according to the invention can be further increased if the cork layer is sealed. For this purpose, the cork layer is painted, oiled and / or waxed.

Vorzugsweise wird die Korkschicht vor oder beim Prägen erwärmt, insbesondere auf eine Temperatur zwischen 40 °C und 60 °C.Preferably, the cork layer is heated before or during embossing, in particular to a temperature between 40 ° C and 60 ° C.

Cork is elastic and has a high rebound behavior. At normal temperatures, therefore, an embossed structure can only be produced to a limited extent in the cork layer or the results are less satisfactory. But if the cork layer is heated to a temperature range of 40 ° C to 60 ° C, the cork can be deformed very well and the surface structure applied. The surface structure is permanently retained. This applies in particular in connection with a carrier plate based on HDF or MDF. A pressure-stable carrier plate ensures that the adhesive layer between the cork layer and the carrier plate is not destroyed during embossing and the forces acting on it. Preferably, a carrier plate made of a material having a density greater than 820 kg / m 3 is used.

The cork layer is glued to the carrier plate by means of a laminating agent. The laminating agents used may be dispersion adhesives, urea resins, polyurethane systems and similar adhesives.

The heating of the cork layer preferably takes place indirectly via the embossing roller. Here, the surface structure is produced in the cork layer by means of a heated embossing roller. The embossing roller is preferably heated electrically or by means of thermal oil. The temperature of the embossing roller and the contact time between embossing roller and cork layer are adjusted so that the desired embossing temperature between 40 ° C and 60 ° C of the cork layer is reliably achieved.

The print decor's job is matched to the embossed surface texture so that the embossing appears in sync with the printed decor. Appropriately, the decor is applied congruent with the embossing, with an overlap of decor and embossing of +/- 2 mm is possible.

To achieve a visually appealing surface structure, the cork layer should have a thickness of at least 2 mm. Such a cork layer can be very well embossed technically, so that stable structures can be produced.

Have proven useful as a support plate are those made of fiber materials, such as high-density or medium-density fiberboard. In principle, carrier plates made of layer materials, such as plywood boards, can also be used.

To use a panel according to the invention in the floor area, ie as a floorboard, this can be provided with an underside impact sound insulation.
