  1. Device comprising
    a device for controlling at least one functional component of a bathtub or whirlpool tub,
    the at least one functional component (9, 17, 18, 19) of the bathtub or whirlpool tub (2),
    an input apparatus (1.1, 1.2) for inputting function and/or program values,
    a memory for storing inputted function and/or program values, a display (4.1, 4.2) for displaying inputted and/or stored function and/or program values, and
    an electronic control unit (5) for controlling the at least one functional component (9, 17, 18, 19) in accordance with inputted and/or stored function and/or program values,
    the memory being set up for user-based storage of function and/or program values, and the input apparatus (1.1, 1.2) being provided with a means for person recognition and/or for detecting a user identification,
    characterised by a hand shower which is provided with a drive in such a way that it can be lowered into a recess in the tub body or in a pre-wall module when not in use and is moved out of the recess into a use position for use by activating the electronic control unit (5),
