Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method and a device for equipping laundry in a water-conducting household appliance.
- Clothing has already been impregnated in the prior art, for example with fragrances.
- the commercial equipping of fabrics with finishing or finishing substances is already known in the art.
- Previous commercial finishing processes are batched or padded.
- fabrics in a larger amount of treatment solution (long liquor) are brought into contact with the active ingredients.
- the degree of extraction (percentage of active substance deposited on the textile) depends strongly on the affinity of the active ingredient for the fiber.
- ready-made textiles can also be treated in a batch process. The treatment in batch process takes longer, because due to the long liquor and the relatively low degree of separation, the deposition rate is low.
- Cyclodextrins are cyclic oligosaccharide compounds having a toroidal structure with a central cavity. Cyclodextrins are able to trap apolar organic compounds in this cavity. This property has led to them being used today in, for example, air freshener sprays. The cyclodextrin derivatives contained in these products bind the compounds responsible for unpleasant odors. At the same time, they also serve as carriers of fragrances.
- Microcapsules are mostly substantially spherical structures, which have a shell and an interior exhibit. In this interior substances can be included. Microcapsules usually have a diameter ranging from nanometers to ⁇ 1mm. They have a shell, which consists for example of a film-forming polymer, in which finely dispersed, liquid or solid phases may be included. The shell material can consist of many different types of chemical compounds.
- the DE 601 19 356 T2 discloses an apparatus for treating fabrics in a tumble dryer and mentions cyclodextrins as odor neutralizers and as perfume boosters. These and many more substances are made according to the teachings of DE 601 19 356 T2 used for tissue conditioning and enclosed for this purpose with a membrane which prevents the escape of liquids, but not the escape of gases. When operating a dryer liquid evaporates due to the action of heat and can escape from the membrane casing and thus in the dryer and thus also in distribute the laundry contained therein. Disadvantages of this type of laundry equipment are that no large volumes of equipment substances get on the laundry and that not all equipment substances are suitable for vaporizing. For example, microcapsules and cyclodextrins should be distributed as a liquid.
- DE 10 2005 046 163 discloses a method and a device, in particular a tumble dryer, in which, in addition to the laundry items to be treated another textile piece is used as a filter. This filter serves to absorb the vapors and substances exiting from the other items of laundry. Such a dryer or washer-dryer is not suitable for equipping the textile pieces located therein.
- the DE 100 36 850 A1 discloses a device for dispensing a liquid product into the interior of a dishwashing or washing machine.
- This is a simple mechanical spraying device with a reservoir and a nozzle, which is suitable for spraying liquids.
- no compressed gas atomizer is used, but the container is compressed mechanically and so the liquid is driven through the nozzle and atomized.
- Such an atomizer produces an aerosol which forms very large droplets, causing stains on laundry items.
- EP 143 14 43 A1 discloses a clothes dryer, which is equipped with an ultrasonic atomizer, with which substances, for example fragrances to be introduced into the laundry drum.
- an ultrasonic nebulizer is capable of producing very fine aerosols, it is comparatively inadequate to disperse microdisperse fluids, such as a microcapsule suspension, in a room. Incidentally, it is unsuitable to deliver larger amounts of liquid in the shortest possible period.
- EP 0 676 497 discloses a method of spraying perfume oil on laundry by means of a pressurized spray nozzle. For this purpose, the perfume is sprayed onto the already dried laundry, while the drum continuously circulates to distribute the fragrance evenly. Also disclosed is a spraying device which is mounted in the filler cap of the dryer. This method has the disadvantage that the When the drum is moved around the drum, it is sprayed unevenly with the fragrance, which in turn causes staining.
- WO 03/023122 A1 also discloses methods of equipping textiles with finishing substances by spraying them into a drum as it rotates. Here, however, a movement below the application speed is meant.
- de 10 2006 003 416 A1 discloses a laundry treating machine having a device for deodorizing clothes.
- a component with a spray nozzle is provided in the sealing collar of the laundry drum, which can deliver an active ingredient (eg cyclodextrins) as a spray into the interior of the drum.
- an active ingredient eg cyclodextrins
- it is provided to move the drum during spraying so that a tumbling around the existing laundry in the drum is guaranteed.
- this has the disadvantage that the laundry items are at different distances from the spray nozzle during this fall. This leads to staining.
- the present invention thus relates to a device for cleaning, drying and / or care of laundry, comprising a housing, a treatment container, in particular a movable drum with a contact speed and a treatment room for receiving a laundry, a door with which the treatment container closed and a nebulizer having a receptacle containing equipment composition, and a dispenser communicating with the treatment space, which nebulizer is capable of delivering the equipment composition to the treatment room via the dispenser.
- a control unit with an associated control program ensures that the equipment composition is delivered to the treatment room while the drum is being moved at least at the application speed.
- the invention further relates to a method for applying a finishing composition to a laundry in a home appliance for laundry care having a moving drum at a landing speed and with a sputtering device, wherein a laundry is provided in the drum and the finishing composition is applied to the laundry by spraying over the sputtering device while the drum is being moved at or above the application speed.
- An advantage of the method according to the invention is the original equipment of garments in contrast to fabric panels, in particular of conventional ready-made goods, or the retrofitting of such ready-made goods, when the equipment substances are consumed.
- Another advantage of the invention is the avoidance of equipment substance losses and environmental pollution from wastewater containing equipment. Batching in a washing machine would result in equipment losses of over 50%. In the present invention, it is much lower, less than 10%.
- the device according to the invention is a household appliance, in particular a water-conducting household appliance, which is a washing machine or a washer-dryer.
- a washing function For the contacting of the laundry with the equipment composition a washing function is used. Compressed air or ultrasonic techniques or a combination of both are used to spray the equipment composition.
- the equipment composition is sucked in by the air flow or gas flow either via a Venturi nozzle from the receptacle (atomizer principle) or placed under a higher pressure (example spray can).
- the device comprises a drum as a treatment container, which can be moved at different speeds.
- a drum as a treatment container, which can be moved at different speeds.
- laundry for the purposes of the present invention includes on the one hand textiles, especially laundry, but also generally all objects that can be treated in a conventional washing machine, such as table linen, bed linen, bags, curtains and the like. It does not have to be exclusive either To deal with textile material, but it can also be equipped composite materials, such as shoes, leather goods and other items, which are made of different materials, such as. B. fabric and leather. Thus, all materials which can be equipped with the finishing substances described in the present invention are suitable.
- the laundry includes ready-made garments, especially ready-made goods.
- ready-made garments especially ready-made goods.
- Particularly suitable for the method according to the invention are in this case, inter alia, worn body-worn garments, e.g. if they are to be provided with skin care products.
- the term "equipment” is understood to mean a process in which the laundry is coated with the finishing substances which are present in the equipment composition.
- the finishing substances are firmly bound to the surface of the laundry, preferably covalently.
- other coatings such as interfiber interposition and the like, are also possible.
- equipping according to the method of the present invention should result in the finishing substances being subject to normal use of the laundry being finished, i. usually when wearing the garments, do not detach more from the fabric than is the case with commercially finished textiles.
- the microcapsules adhering to the laundry undergo deliberate destruction so that they can release their ingredients.
- the kit composition includes cyclodextrins and / or microcapsules, and may also include other agents.
- agents may be selected, for example, from substances with which the microcapsules or cyclodextrins are to be loaded. Examples of these are, in particular, fragrances, cosmetics, care substances, for example aloe vera, anticellulite substances and the like.
- cyclodextrins is understood here to mean all cyclodextrin derivatives. Under microcapsules all substances are understood that have already been defined in the introduction and exemplified. Surprisingly, it has been found that it is possible to equip a laundry, in particular textiles, with microcapsules and / or cyclodextrins not only in a commercial process but also in a domestic washing machine and / or a washer-dryer.
- the finishing composition is preferably a liquid, i. a solution or suspension and may include various finishing substances, such as fragrances, functionalizing agents, preferably cyclodextrins and / or microcapsules.
- various finishing substances such as fragrances, functionalizing agents, preferably cyclodextrins and / or microcapsules.
- cyclodextrins is understood here to mean all cyclodextrin derivatives. Under microcapsules all substances are understood that have already been defined in the introduction and exemplified.
- a method according to the invention will be carried out in a washer-dryer. It is advantageous that the washing function and the dryer function are combined in one device.
- the washing function can be used to contact the laundry with the finishing composition.
- the dryer function is suitable.
- a special program is provided, which can preferably be run after a normal wash, but also independently.
- the atomizing device comprises a dispenser, which is advantageously designed as a nozzle, and a receptacle for the equipment composition.
- the receptacle is preferably refillable and thus preferably removable or detachable from the dispenser.
- the atomizing device additionally has a metering device, with which the delivery of the equipment composition is controllable. This is advantageous, in particular because of the fact that the equipment compositions can be expensive substances which should be used as sparingly as possible.
- the atomizing device may be both internally in the device according to the invention, e.g. integrated in the same, as well as be arranged outside or partially outside. Preferably, it is releasably secured or has at least one releasably secured receptacle.
- the atomizing device is arranged completely inside the device according to the invention.
- Particularly suitable for this purpose is the area of the door opening or the door, since these are areas which have to be accessible to the user, which ensures that the user can himself insert the atomization device or fill the receptacle.
- the atomizing device can also be located in the area of the drum rear wall, for example in the center in the form of a cylinder or cone.
- the atomizing device is arranged on the outside of the housing, preferably on the door or on the porthole of the device according to the invention.
- an opening in the housing is provided at the appropriate location, which is provided with the necessary sealing means and through which the dispenser can be passed.
- This arrangement is particularly advantageous because the receptacle can be easily filled.
- This arrangement is also very advantageous for a further embodiment in which the Equipment composition already prefabricated in a nebulizer, for example in the form of a spray can, is provided and then only at a corresponding location on the door of the device, if necessary, must be secured with suitable brackets.
- a separate door element e.g. as an accessory, which already includes the atomizing device and can be easily mounted in place of the existing door. This allows the user to easily change his device from normal operation to equipment operation.
- the receiving container of the atomizing device is arranged outside the housing of the device according to the invention and is connected via a line, e.g. a hose communicating with the internal dispenser.
- a line e.g. a hose communicating with the internal dispenser.
- the dispenser must always be in communication with the treatment room. It is therefore also preferably arranged in the region of the door or the door opening. However, it can also be arranged in the region of the drum rear wall.
- the dispenser should be located in the upper area of the treatment room, so that a spray generated by it can spread as well as possible and over the entire surface of the drum wall, which is below the dispenser.
- the dispenser is arranged in a preferred embodiment in the region of the sealing sleeve, which seals the tub.
- the dispenser is located in the upper region of the sealing sleeve and is directed into the interior of the drum, that the spray can spread over a flat or in a cone obliquely from above over the entire depth of the drum.
- the nozzle is directed obliquely downwards.
- Equipment composition is sucked from the air or gas stream either via a venturi from the receptacle (atomizer principle) or placed under a higher pressure (example spray can).
- the receptacle may already be pressurized, or it may be connectable to an additional pressure vessel (eg, a gas cartridge with carbon dioxide or the like) and a mixing nozzle (eg, a venturi).
- an additional pressure vessel eg, a gas cartridge with carbon dioxide or the like
- a mixing nozzle eg, a venturi
- the escaping gas stream entrains the equipment composition. This can be effected for example by means of a Venturi nozzle.
- a suitable compressed air generation is necessary.
- a compressor with compressed air reservoir and a suitable diaphragm pump can be used.
- the spraying of the equipment substances takes place according to the invention at or above the application speed.
- spraying equipment on a laundry ring rather than on a rotating drum moves laundry to a much more uniform result, especially when the spraying phases alternate at least at the application speed with phases of reversing at a lower speed (below the Applying speed), wherein the equipment composition is discharged again only while the drum is being moved at or above the application speed.
- Particularly advantageous has been an equipment program in which, in a first step, at a speed above the application speed for about 10 seconds to 20 seconds periodically (i.e., in at least two sprays) or continuously dispensed equipment composition.
- the number of revolutions should be at least as long as the number of revolutions, and it has been found advantageous for a machine of European size to have a speed in the range of 120 to 250 rpm, preferably 130 to 230 rpm, preferably 150 to 210 rpm, preferably 180 to 200 rpm.
- the drum is moved at a speed below the application speed, preferably at a speed between 35 and 65 rpm, preferably 45 to 55 rpm.
- a periodic reversing with breaks offers For example, 5 to 20 seconds in one direction, pause from 1 to 5 seconds, 5 to 20 seconds in the other direction. This is expediently repeated once or twice or more often.
- This step ensures that the materials to be equipped are redistributed.
- the finishing composition can spread better in the laundry and wet it evenly and without staining.
- suitably 500 to 2000ml of liquid are sprayed.
- the amount depends on the type of equipment composition and also on the amount of material to be finished.
- 700 to 1000 ml are advantageous.
- the laundry should be wetted to 30% to 70% of its dry weight.
- the exposure time can be easily determined by the skilled person.
- the latter may be subjected to a process similar to a normal washing process.
- a process similar to a normal washing process Ie.
- an exposure time is provided in which the laundry sucks fully with the liquor, which consists of water and the finishing composition, and which may optionally also contain other additives and active ingredients.
- the laundry drum is preferably moved in this case, similar to what is usual in a conventional washing process.
- the microcapsules and / or cyclodextrins present in the finish composition are preferably fixed to the laundry. This is preferably done by a heat treatment or a chemical treatment.
- the heat treatment preferably comprises a treatment at a temperature between 80 and 150 ° C, preferably 90 to 140 ° C, preferably 100 to 120 ° C, particularly preferably 130 ° C. These temperatures can already be achieved in conventional dryers and washer-dryers. It lends itself to.
- fix 130 ° C. In the menu or the control panel to provide a separate point for this heat treatment step (such as "fix 130 ° C.) It can also be fixed at higher temperatures, for example up to 180 ° C, especially 150 ° C to 170 ° C, if It should preferably be reversibly dried to ensure even temperature development in the laundry, and if the entire process is carried out in a washer-dryer, fixation may also be carried out in the same appliance, depending on the type and quantity The aim is to dry as completely as possible.
- This spin-drying step is preferably also carried out after fixing, in particular, the cyclodextrins. All conventional centrifugal processes are suitable here.
- An advantage of the method according to the invention is that, as a rule, no centrifuging of excess finishing composition is necessary, since this was already applied in minimal quantity.
- the finishing composition is in turn loaded with active ingredients, for example a fragrance, cosmetics and the like.
- active ingredients for example a fragrance, cosmetics and the like.
- cyclodextrins are particularly suitable because they are able to take up molecules in their hollow structure.
- this pretreatment step is a treatment with an alkaline medium such as a strong alkaline soda solution or the like.
- an alkaline solution prior to adding the finishing composition, the alkaline solution should be substantially removed. It lends itself here to carry out a centrifuging step.
- An alkaline solution for activating the laundry will preferably be a soda solution. Sodal solutions of between 0.1 and 5% are suitable. The pH value is about 10-11 for a 2% soda solution. A pH range of 8 to 12 is preferred, especially 9 to 11, especially 10. Other alkaline agents may also be used, e.g.
- Sodium hydroxide solution The person skilled in the art is able to select a suitable alkaline solution and to determine the appropriate pH. These parameters depend on the laundry to be equipped. The activation of the laundry allows a covalent bond, in particular of the cyclodextrins to the laundry.
- the method according to the invention is preferably carried out in a device according to the invention described above.
- the device according to this invention is a washing machine or a washer-dryer. This has the advantage that the step of distributing the equipment composition on the be equipped laundry to be connected directly to the washing program. In fact, it is particularly advantageous to equip just washed and possibly spun and / or dried-on laundry.
- cyclodextrins with new substances once they have delivered their contents. This can be done in several ways, for example by spraying with perfume.
- a spray device can preferably be used which communicates with or is integrated in the water-conducting domestic appliance.
- this expediently comprises a programmable control unit, to which a control program is assigned, which defines the method according to the invention.
- the user can then conveniently set a normal wash on the display, or even a wash, combined with an equipment program.
- a household appliance in the form of a washing machine or a washer-dryer, for equipping a material with a finishing composition comprising cyclodextrins and / or microcapsules.
- FIG. 1 shows a washing machine 1 with a housing 2 and a treatment room 4.
- the treatment room 4 is laundry 5.

- the door bowl 24 tapers in the direction of the treatment chamber 4 (not shown) and terminates with a flat bottom.
- In this floor there is an opening 28 through which the dispenser 14 of the atomizing device 8 can protrude into the interior of the washing machine 1.
- the remaining part of the atomizing device 8, namely the receptacle 10 and the metering device 16 are mounted with brackets 18 on the outwardly facing side of the door 6.
- the dashed lines indicate a spray bar 12 of equipment composition 12. It can be seen here that the dispenser 14, here a nozzle 14 with solenoid valve (not shown), is arranged so that the spray 12 is distributed obliquely downwards in a cone.
- FIG. 3 is the same washing machine door 6, which in FIG. 2 is shown again shown in plan view.
- the atomizing device 8 can be seen, with the receptacle 10 and two brackets 18.
- the brackets 18 are designed as brackets, which can be attached to the door 6 with suitable fasteners, such as adhesives or the like.
- the receptacle 10 is designed bottle-shaped and preferably made of a solid material, such as plastic or glass.
- the metering device 16 is in this embodiment at the Outside of the door 6 attached. Behind this is the opening 28, through which the non-visible delivery device 14, in this case a nozzle 14 extends into the treatment chamber 4. In order to ensure a sufficient seal, sealing means 30 are provided.
