Description
Description A COOLING DEVICE
[0001] The present invention relates to a cooling device wherein the condenser and the compressor are cooled effectively.
[0002] In cooling devices, for example refrigerators, the compressor and the condenser, particularly the coil type condenser that is preferred for taking up less space, operates in a compartment that is generally situated at the lower portion of the body. Air is blown over the compressor and the condenser for removing heat by forced circulation and aiming to increase efficiency. In the state of the art, a fan is operated in between or on one side of the compressor and the condenser to cause cooling and the air aspirated by means of the fan from the exterior environment is generally passed over either the condenser and directed to the compressor or passed over the compressor and directed to the condenser. While the condenser or the compressor over which the exterior environment air passes firstly is cooled better than the other device, but sufficient cooling cannot be provided by blowing air of the exterior environment that will be heated by passing over the condenser to the compressor or by blowing air of the exterior environment that will be heated by passing over the compressor to the condenser.
[0003] In the European patent document no. EP1475590, in the component compartment situated at the lower portion of the refrigerator main body wherein the compressor and the condenser are disposed, the rear opening is covered by a cover and the cover is provided with air inlets and air outlets which are spaced apart from each other. The compressor and the condenser are disposed respectively behind the air inlets and the air outlets. By means of a fan situated between the condenser and the air outlets, the outer environment air is received through the air inlets and expelled from the air outlets after passing over the compressor and the condenser.
[0004] In the United States of America patent document no. US5592829, the fan positioned between the compressor and the condenser sucks in the outer environment air and directs over the compressor.
[0005] In the United States of America patent document no. US5117523, the cooling fan is positioned angularly to cool both the compressor and the condenser at the same time.
[0006] In the European patent document no. EP1559975, a cross flow type fan is disposed between the compressor and the condenser. The air aspirated from the outer environment is passed over the condenser and directed to the compressor. By means of the air suction and discharge openings the air aspirated from the outer environment and
passed over the condenser and the compressor is discharged to the environment.
[0007] In the United States of America patent document no. US5428973, in a refrigerator which includes a machine compartment wherein a wire and tube condenser operates, an air passage duct formed in a zigzag shape is connected thereto for aspirating air from the outer environment to cross through the condenser.
[0008] The aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooling device wherein the condenser and the compressor are cooled effectively by regulating the flow of air.
[0009] The cooling device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is explicated in the claims.
[0010] In the cooling device of the present invention, the compressor and the coil condenser operate in the machine room preferably situated at the lower portion of the body called the cabin &r end region. Air is aspirated from the outer surrounding by means of a Ian and a suction channel situated in the machine room, an air distributor is used, to which the suction channel is connected, that surrounds the Ian for safeguarding and provides the air aspirated from the outer environment to be directed partially over the compressor and partially over the condenser.
[0011] The flow rate of the air sent over the compressor and the condenser is adjusted by a flow separator such as a valve or the like that is disposed in the air distributor. The desired amount of air aspirated from the outer environment is directed towards the compressor or the desired amount to the condenser by the flow separator, thus providing to send a larger amount of air over either the compressor or condenser, whichever requires more cooling in terms of efficiency.
[0012] In an embodiment of the present invention, the air distributor is disposed on the left side or right side of the compressor and the condenser and the blowing orifices are arranged on the side of the air distributor lacing the compressor and the condenser, providing to blow air in the same direction and separately towards the compressor and the condenser.
[0013] In another embodiment of the present invention, the air distributor is disposed in between the compressor and the condenser, and the blowing orifices are arranged on the left and right side of the air distributor, providing to blow air separately towards the compressor and the condenser that are situated at opposite sides of one another.
[0014] The cooling device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the below figures, where:
