  • The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner, in particular of the upright type, with a motor fan, in the exhaust air flow a cassette-like, essentially cuboid filter frame for receiving a fine filter is arranged, the filter frame is drawer-like inserted into a filter receptacle of a housing part of the vacuum cleaner and in introduced state with a peripheral contour optionally with the interposition of a seal to a designated contour of the filter holder can be pressed, and wherein the direction of movement is directed to insert the filter frame substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of the pressing.
  • Vacuum cleaners with fine filters are for example from the DE 42 40 172 C2 known. There designed as a fine dust or hygiene filter filter mat is arranged in a cassette-like holder. The disadvantage of this holder is that a pressing is required to achieve the sealing effect, which runs perpendicular to the insertion direction. In the DE 202 07 256 U1 the necessary contact pressure on the cassette or its seal is produced by obliquely directed control sections, which interact with a likewise obliquely directed counter-control surface. The seal is loaded during insertion of the cassette both in the pressing direction and in the insertion direction. This leads to wear of the seal, in the worst case, the adhesive bond between the filter frame and seal dissolves and the seal is moved from its seat in an area outside the intended contact surface.
  • The invention thus provides the problem to improve a vacuum cleaner of the type mentioned in that despite sufficient contact pressure on the filter frame damage to the sealing surface is avoided.
  • According to the invention this problem is solved by a vacuum cleaner with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention will become apparent from the following subclaims.
  • The achievable with the invention advantages are achieved by a pivotally mounted lining element, which covers the filter receptacle in the inserted state and which deflects the force resulting from the pivotal movement of the insertion direction in the pressing direction. As a result, abrasion of the edge contour or the seal is avoided. In addition, the cladding element can be used as a lever, whereby the forces to be applied by the user to achieve the sealing effect are kept low.
  • In an advantageous embodiment, first holding means are arranged at least on a part of the edge contour, which cooperate with second holding means in the lower region of the filter holder. This ensures that the filter frame performs a defined pivoting movement about the holding means when closing the cladding element. In this case, any relative movement perpendicular to the pressing direction is prevented when pressing the frame to the contour of the filter holder.
  • To achieve a sufficient contact pressure, at least one curved pressing rib is arranged on the lining element.
  • By holding the cladding element in the closed position by means of self-locking an additional closure is superfluous.
  • It is also expedient if the seal is arranged on the edge contour of the filter frame.
  • In an advantageous embodiment of an upright vacuum cleaner, the engine fan and the filter holder are arranged in a base unit. As a result, a slight filter change is possible and the air passages from the blower to the fine filter are short.

  • The floor unit 2 of an upright vacuum cleaner, in FIG. 1 shown in exploded view, comprises a housing, which is formed by a housing insert 5, a rear housing lower part 6, a front housing lower part 7, a bumper strip 8 and a cover part 9. The housing insert 5 acts as a carrier for a number of electrical and mechanical components, and the aforementioned housing parts are attached to it. For deep cleaning of carpets protrudes into the suction port 15, an opening in the front housing lower part 7 and the base plate 16 attached thereto, a brushing roller 17 which is resiliently mounted on two lateral wings 18 and 19 and driven by a brush motor 20 via a belt 21. The parts 22 and 23 represent a two-piece belt cover. The brush motor 20 is also secured to the housing insert 5, the rockers 18 and 19 are pivotally mounted there. The two housing bases 6 and 7 carry the chassis of the upright, which is formed of front wheels 24 and 25 and rear wheels 26 and 27. The rear wheels 26 and 27 are connected to stabilize by means of an axle 28 and adjustable via a respective wheel mechanism 29 and 30 in their position. To illuminate the driveway on the housing insert 5, a board 31 is attached to LED's 32, which is covered to the front by a lens 33. The viewing window 33 is held in a recess 34 in the bumper 8.
  • The air generated by the engine fan 11 is blown through an opening 35 in the housing insert 5 and a corresponding opening 36 in the cover part 9 in the environment. In the opening 36, a filter frame 37 is used, which receives a not shown exhaust filter for cleaning the air blown out of fines. The filter frame 37 is covered by a grid receptacle 38 and a grid 39 in the cover part 9 and is interchangeable from there.
  • Both the tilting joint and the pivot joint between the bottom unit 2 and an upper body, not shown in the drawings, are formed by a rigid, fork-shaped channel component. This component also includes parts of the air duct from the suction port 15 to the upper body 3 and the air guide from the upper body 3 to the exhaust opening (openings 35 and 36). The component is referred to below as fork 40. It consists of two plastic parts, an upper shell 41 and a lower shell 42, which are interconnected by welding. To realize the tilting joint, the two ends 43 (right) and 44 (left) of the fork 40 are pivotally mounted in recesses 45 and 46 provided for this purpose, to avoid abrasion, they are respectively surrounded by metallic bushings 47 and 48. The left in the direction of travel fork 44 is designed as hollow and coupled via a seal 49 with the blower inlet 12. At the right in the direction of travel fork 43 a bearing pin 50 is formed. It also has an opening 51 which is connected via an elastic tube 52 to the suction port 15. In order to lock the upright in the upright position, a step lever 63 is mounted on the housing insert 5, which engages in this position in the left fork end 44 and thus prevents the pivoting movement of the fork 40.   • FIG. 2 shows the rear portion of the bottom unit 2 with the cover part 9, the front cover 54, the rear housing lower part 6 and the housing insert 5. Grid receptacle 38 and grid 39 are joined together to form an air-permeable lining element, hereinafter referred to as closure 100, and on the cover part 9 hinged (not shown). The housing lower part 6 and the housing insert 5 form the assembly space for receiving the engine fan 11, not shown here with the opening 35 for the Ausblasluftstrom. The opening 35 is bordered by a rectangular contour 101. Furthermore, when assembling the two components, a filter holder 102 is produced, into which the filter frame 37 together with the fine filter can be inserted like a drawer. Of the filter frame 37, only the components essential to the invention side walls 370, rear wall 371, edge contour 372 and seal 373 are shown. The further structure can, for example, as in the DE 42 40 172 C2 be executed described and is therefore neither illustrated in the drawings nor explained in more detail. For insertion of the filter frame, the closure 100 is first pivoted by train to the designated handle 103 to the rear, then the filter frame 37 is inserted together with inserted fine filter (not shown) in the filter holder 102 in the direction of the black arrow 104, see Figures 2 and 3a , In order to facilitate handling and to prevent reversed insertion, a gripping tab 374 is integrally formed on a side wall of the filter frame 37.
  • So that a defined seat of the frame 37 is ensured in the lower region, the tab 374 opposite side of the edge contour 372 has projections 375, which are associated with recesses 102 in the lower region of the filter holder. On the housing insert 5 guide webs 106 are mounted, which ensure a sliding of the projections 375 in the direction of the recesses 105 during insertion of the frame 37. The slope of the guide webs 106 and the depth of the recesses 105 are designed so that the seal 373 comes to rest on the contour 101 only when the insertion process is completed.
  • Upon further pivoting of the closure ( Figure 3c ) moves the contact point of the pressing ribs 107 due to their waveform from the corner 376 on the rear wall 371. As a result, the filter frame 37 on the principle of a toggle lever with the entire seal 373 against the contour 101 in the direction of the white arrow 108 (s. FIG. 2 ) pressed perpendicular to the insertion direction.
  • The curve shape of the pressing ribs 107 merge into reinforcements 109 with a bevel 110 which, shortly before the end of the pivoting process (FIG. 3d figure ) reinforce the pressure against the back wall again. The adjoining straight outlet 111 provides for self-locking with closed closure 100 (FIG. FIG. 3e ). When opening the shutter 100, the filter frame 37 is immediately free and can be easily removed.

  1.
