Further the cap gives said second design a closed axle-box look.

Claims (15)

  1. Kappe (50) für eine Lageranordnung, wobei die Lageranordnung ein hohlzylindrisches Lagerelement (30) umfasst, das in einer Öffnung eines Gehäuseelements (40) angeordnet ist, wodurch der äußere Mantel des Lagerelements (30) unter normalen Betriebsbedingungen die Öffnung des Gehäuseelements (40) im Wesentlichen in einem sektorartigen Bereich kontaktiert und in einem dem Kontaktierbereich gegenüberliegenden Bereich einen Spalt hat, wobei die Kappe (50) ausgelegt ist, die Öffnung zu verschließen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Kappe (50) einen axialen Vorsprung umfasst, der so ausgelegt ist, dass er mindestens zwischen dem Lagerelement (30) und dem Gehäuseelement (40) in diesem Bereich mit dem Spalt vorragt, wenn die Kappe auf dem Gehäuse montiert ist, um den Spalt mindestens in einer radialen Richtung im Wesentlichen verschließen.
  2. Kappe (50) nach Anspruch 1, wobei der innere Mantel des spaltschließenden Abschnitts der Kappe (50) eine sich axial erstreckende Nut (54) umfasst.
  3. Kappe (50) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei die Kappe (50) mindestens in dem spaltschließenden Abschnitt aus einem gut wärmeleitenden Material hergestellt ist.
  4. Kappe (50) nach Anspruch 3, wobei die gesamte Kappe (50) aus diesem Material hergestellt ist.
  5. Kappe (50) nach Anspruch 3 oder 4, wobei das Material Metall, insbesondere Stahl oder Gusseisen, umfasst.
  6. Kappe (50) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, wobei die Kappe (50) einen weiteren axialen Vorsprung (52) in dem Kontaktierbereich umfasst, um das Lagerelement (30) gegen einen Anschlag des Gehäuseelements (40) zu drücken.
  7. Kappe (50) nach Anspruch 6, wobei beide Vorsprünge (52) Teil eines sich umfangsmäßig erstreckenden, ringartigen axialen Vorsprungs (52) der Kappe (50) sind.
  8. Kappe (50) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, wobei die Kappe (50) einen sich radial erstreckenden Vorsprung (56) zum Verbinden eines anderen Elements mit dem Vorsprung (56) umfasst.
  9. Kappe (50) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, wobei der Kontaktierbereich und/oder der sich radial erstreckende Vorsprung (56) in einer Zwölf-Uhr-Position angeordnet sind.
  10. Kappe (50) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, wobei die Kappe (50) mindestens zwei Bohrungen zum Befestigen der Kappe (50) am Gehäuseelement (40) umfasst.
  11. Kappe (50) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10, wobei die Kappe (50) dazu ausgelegt ist, an das Gehäuseelement (40) geschraubt zu werden.
  12. Kappe (50) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 11, wobei das Lagerelement (30) ein äußerer Ring (30) eines Rollenlagers ist.
  13. Kappe (50) nach Anspruch 12, wobei das Rollenlager ein zweireihiges Rollenlager, insbesondere ein Kegelrollenlager ist.
  14. Kappe (50) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 13, wobei die Lageranordnung zu einer Achsbuchse (40) eines Eisenbahndrehgestells gehört.
  15. Achsbuchse (40) mit einer Kappe (50) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 14.
