Description

  • The invention relates to a lid-shaped punched-out element for closing containers consisting of a first outer layer and a second inner layer, which are connected to each other via their facing surface sides by a cold-sealing layer, wherein the second inner layer on its side facing the container with a heat sealable layer, and wherein the bond strength between the first outer layer and the second inner layer is lower than that between the inner layer and the container edge.
  • Cover-shaped punched elements of the type mentioned are from the JP 10 024 962 A known, according to which the two layers are interconnected by a cold-sealing layer and the upper layer does not completely cover the lower. According to the WO 2001/83 208 A1 the two layers are connected to each other via a pressure-sensitive adhesive. In the DE 297 01 955 U1 The two layers are connected by a layer of laminating paint.
  • Furthermore, it has been shown that, especially in the case of perishable foods, the consumer has an increased need for information regarding origin, ingredients and shelf life. In order to create sufficient space for this information, one has begun to print on the outer layer of the closure lid, whereas the inner layer remains as far as possible unprinted. This is also because a possible contact of printing inks with the food should be avoided.
  • To open these packs, the upper layer of the lid is removed and only after the separation of the inner, second layer, the access to the packaged goods is possible. The access to the packaged goods can also be achieved by integrated grip bottles, as in the DE 195 23 754 A1 proposed, or by perforations in the form of a pouring opening, as in WO 2001/83 208 A1 and the corresponding one US 2004/0013827 disclosed, be relieved.
  • Although packings with pouring openings are suitable for liquid or nearly liquid packaged goods, their handling is cumbersome when the packaged goods are free-flowing.
  • The invention aims to remedy this situation.
  • According to the invention a cover-shaped punched-out element of the type mentioned is proposed, which is characterized in that the second inner layer is formed of a perforated grid consisting of heat-sealable plastics, and that this grid consists of longitudinal threads and transverse threads.
  • Due to the different composite adhesion between the layers of the cover-shaped punched-out element on the one hand and the container edge on the other hand, it is possible for the consumer to easily cause a partial opening of the container such that subtracted in a first opening step, the outer layer of the container facing inner layer ie is peeled. In the case of free-flowing packaged goods, the second opening step can largely be dispensed with, since a metered output is possible due to the perforated grid.
  • Further embodiments of the invention, cover-shaped punched element are disclosed according to the subclaims.
  • The invention will be described below with reference to the Fig. 1 and 2 explained in more detail. It shows Fig. 1 a possible use form of the lid-shaped punched-out element 1 according to the invention for closing a container 7 and Fig. 2 a possible construction of the cover-shaped punched-out element 1 according to the invention.
  • In the production of the lid-shaped punched-out element 1 according to the invention, the outer layer 2 is produced for the time being.
  • For the production of the outer layer 2, for example, an aluminum foil whose thickness is in a range of 10 to 100 microns is used. However, it is also possible to use plastic films in a thickness range of 10 to 100 microns. The plastics can be selected from the group consisting of polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester, polyacrylate, polyamide or polystyrene.
  • The outer layer 2 can further be equipped with a printed image on its surface side facing the observer. This can be both smooth and rough in its surface design. The surface roughness results from irregular, but also regular arrangement of the print motifs the desired print image.
  • Furthermore, the surface roughness of the printed image facilitates that Unstacking the usually stored in magazines stacked punched punched elements.
  • However, the aforementioned printed image can also reproduce the information from which the consumer takes the origin, composition and duration of the durability of the packaged goods.
  • After printing on the outer layer 2, it is provided on its surface side 2 'with a cold-sealing layer 4. Cold-sealing substances are characterized by the fact that a bond between two layers can be produced by applying pressure, but without additional temperature application. The cold-sealing layer may be provided, for example, by applying a polymer-containing emulsion or dispersion. As polymer-containing emulsions in aqueous form, for example, those with the trade name "Crodaseal 22-055" can be used, since they comply with food law regulations. Furthermore, it is conceivable to use an equally food-compatible, plasticizer-free polymer dispersion based on acrylic acid ester copolymers in water under the trade name "Flexbond® AF75".
  • The surface side 2 ', which is provided with the cold-sealing layer 4, is now connected to the container-facing inner layer 3, which shows the shape of a perforated grid 14. This grid 14 consists of the longitudinal threads 15 and the transverse threads 16, which are formed from heat-sealable plastics, for example polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester, polyacrylate, polyamide and polystyrene.   • The bonding of the layers 2 and 3 takes place, for example, in a laminating station consisting essentially of a pair of laminating rollers, wherein the layers 2 and 3 are each brought to one another on a roller surface such that the cold-sealing layer 4, which is attached to the layer 2, for example Layer 3, which is guided over the second laminating, facing is. Due to the contact pressure formed in the nip, an adhesive bond between the layers 2 and 3 takes place at room temperature over the cold-sealing layer 4. Since the lamination process takes place at room temperature, the heat-sealable properties of the plastics used in the lattice 14 remain in the deactivated state, ie, they still take place no cross-linking reactions of any kind, which cause undesirable adhesion at this stage.
  • This composite, as exemplified in Fig. 2 is shown, is stored as a roll goods, from which the elements can be punched out for closing in the corresponding lid shape. In this case, the formation of an opening aid, for example a gripping tab 9, can also be provided on the glue-free areas.
  • These cover elements 1, which are usually mounted in magazines, can now be used for further use, ie for closing containers 7. The containers 7, which are preferably filled with free-flowing packaged goods, such as spices, salt or pepper, are closed continuously with the lid-shaped punched-out elements 1 according to the invention in a heat-sealing process. By applying pressure at elevated temperature, the activation of the heat-sealable plastics in the grid 14 takes place such that a composite adhesion in a range of greater than or equal to (5) / 15 mm (measured according to DIN EN 28510-1 "peel test for flexible / rigidly bonded Samples ") between the lid member 1 and the container edge 8 is generated. This composite adhesion causes even after partial opening of the container 7 that this is still covered with the grid 14. As a result of the generated marking force, the bond between the layers 2 and 3 is overcome so that the outer layer 2 can be completely or partially removed from the underlying layer 3.   • In order to be able to measure the average peel force, which is a parameter for the composite adhesion on the one hand between the container edge 8 and the inner layer 3 and on the other hand between the outer layer 2 and the inner layer 3, samples of the composite partners, namely containers, are used to carry out the peel test -Material and inner layer 3 on the one hand and inner layer 3 and outer layer 2 on the other hand, made in the form of partial composites. Thus, a partial composite of the container material 7 and the inner layer 3 and the second partial composite of the inner layer 3, the cold-sealable layer 4 and the outer layer 2.   • In the use according to Fig. 1 is at least partially exposed by tearing on the grip tab 9 in the direction of arrow F1, the lattice-shaped structure 14. Claims (11)

  1. A lid-shaped punched element (1) for sealing receptacles (7), consisting of a first outer layer (2) and a second inner layer (3) that are connected to one another on their facing surfaces (2', 3') by means of a cold-sealing layer (4), wherein the second inner layer (3) is hot-sealable and the adhesive bond between the layers (2) and (3) is lower than that between the second inner layer (3) and a receptacle edge (8), characterized in that the second inner layer (3) is formed of an open-worked screen (14) consisting of hot-sealable plastics, and in that this screen (14) consists of longitudinal threads (15) and lateral threads (16).
  2. The lid-shaped punched element according to Claim 1, characterized in that the longitudinal threads (15) and the lateral threads (16) of the screen (14) consist of hot-sealable plastics that are selected from the group comprising polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester, polyacrylate, polyamide and polystyrene.
  3. The lid-shaped punched element according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the adhesive bond between the first outer layer (2) and the second inner layer (3) lies between 0.2 and 4.5 N/15mm measured according to DIN EN 28510-1.
  4. The lid-shaped punched element according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the adhesive bond between the second inner layer (3) and the receptacle edge (8) is greater than or equal to (≥) 5 N/15mm measured according to DIN EN 28510-1.
  5. The lid-shaped punched element according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the first outer layer (2) is a metal foil, preferably an aluminum foil.
  6. The lid-shaped punched element according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the first outer layer (2) is a plastic film or a plastic film laminate.
  7. The lid-shaped punched element according to Claim 6, characterized in that the plastics are selected from the group comprising polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester, polyacrylate, polyamide or polystyrene.
