Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour donner à des végétaux une résistance aux agents pathogènes ou augmenter cette résistance chez des végétaux, en limitant l'expression d'au moins un polypeptide à répétitions armadillo ou d'un équivalent fonctionnel de celui-ci. L'invention concerne des séquences d'acide nucléique qui codent pour un polynucléotide à répétitions armadillo Hordeum vulgare (HvARM) et des séquences homologues (ARM1) de celui-ci, ainsi que leur utilisation dans le procédé pour donner à des végétaux une résistance aux agents pathogènes, des acides nucléiques hybrides, des cassettes d'expression et des vecteurs qui comprennent ces séquences, et qui conviennent pour donner à des végétaux une résistance aux champignons. L'invention a également pour objet des organismes transgéniques modifiés avec ces cassettes d'expression ou vecteurs, en particulier des végétaux, des cultures dérivées de ceux-ci, des parties ou des agents de multiplication transgéniques.
