Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

The present invention relates to the field of watchmaking. It relates, more particularly, a diving watch.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

This type of product is, in a well known manner, equipped with a rotating bezel which carries graduations generally corresponding to sixty minutes. It is initially set by the diver for a period of time which will allow him, in relation to the position of the minute hand of the room, an indication of the time he spent under water or time it still has before resurfacing.

It is easy to understand that, during the dive, this telescope must remain motionless, despite the various aggression it may suffer, otherwise the diver may be in serious danger.

The document CH655633 describes a watch comprising a box containing a watch movement associated with time display means. Said box is formed of a middle part, a bottom and a rotating bezel. It is additionally articulated on a frame which is shaped to define a housing in which the box can be folded.

The framework described in CH655633 is not shaped so as to prohibit the rotation of the telescope when it occupies its folded position.

The present invention aims to provide a dive watch which, while remaining aesthetic, is provided with means that reliably prevent inadvertent rotation of its telescope.

Mode(s) de réalisation de l'inventionMode (s) of realization of the invention

The figures represent in 10 a round watch case formed of a middle part 11, a bottom 12 fixed to the middle part by screws (not visible in the drawing) and a rotating bezel 13 surrounding a glass 14 and coupled in a manner classic at the middle. The box contains a movement displaying the current time on a dial 15 using needles 16, while the bezel 13 is associated with a ring 17 concentric to the dial and bearing sixty graduations, regularly distributed, corresponding to sixty minutes of the hour.

Note that the sealed ring 18 for controlling the movement is disposed at the 12 o'clock position of the dial.

It will also be noted that the rotating bezel 13 has a substantially larger external diameter than that of the middle part 11 and thus offers, in its peripheral portion 19, sixty cavities 20 evenly distributed on the face situated on the bottom side of the box, of which the 'utility will appear later.

The box 10 is hingedly mounted, at the 6 o'clock position of the dial, by a hinge 21, on a frame 22 whose outer contour matches that of the telescope 13 on its sides corresponding to the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. This frame is extended, positions 6 and 12 hours, by portions 23 which are narrowing and constitute attachment means for the strands 24 of the wristband of the watch.

As illustrated in detail in figures 4 and 5 the hinge 21 consists, for example, of an axis 35 integral with the portion 23 of the frame and two tubular elements 36 integral with the box 10 and pivoting about the axis 35. The latter is positioned in a formed channel by the portion 23 of the frame, interrupted by grooves 37 which leave the axis 35 visible. The tubular elements 36 cooperate with the axis 35 at the grooves 37 and are guided in their pivotal movement by the walls of the grooves.

The middle part 11 has, in its zone closest to the portion 23, at least one male member 38 arranged projecting and elastically movable. As will be understood later, this member 38 is intended to cooperate with a female member, not visible in the drawing, located in the portion 23, to form a notch engagement. The skilled person can choose the proper way to achieve the commitment upset. As proposed in the figures, the male member 38 may be formed by two balls, movably mounted in the thickness of the middle part and held outside the middle part 11 by a spring arranged in a recess in the middle part. The female member may be formed by a hole in the portion 23. Advantageously, the hole is located below the median plane of the box and is oriented downwards, that is to say in the direction of the bottom of the box. box.

The area of the portion 23 provided with the female member is also provided with a blocker whose role will appear later. This blocker is constituted by a protuberance 40, for example in the form of a bar oriented parallel to the axis of the hinge 21 and located slightly above the hole.

The inside of the frame 22 is shaped and dimensioned so as to accommodate the crown 18, the middle part 11 and the bottom 12, but not to allow the bezel 13 to penetrate, which can thus come to rest on its arms 25 adjacent to the positions 3 and 9 hours. One of these arms, at least, is endowed, upwardly, with a pin 26 intended to take place in one of the sixty cavities 20 of the rotating bezel 13 in order to immobilize it when it is folded over. him.

As shown by figures 1 and 2 , the arms 25 are advantageously perforated so as to lighten the watch and enhance its aesthetics by contrast between the color of the arms and that of the middle part 11.

With particular reference to the figure 3 , it is seen that the middle part 11 is provided, at 12 o'clock, with a latch 27 capable of moving in the plane of the watch inside a clearance formed in the bottom 12. This latch consists of a plate 28, one end has an oblong opening 29 in which takes place a screw 30 ensuring its attachment to the middle part 11 while allowing it to move. The plate 28 can thus occupy a first position, shown in the drawing, for which its other end 31 is flush with the outer face of the middle part and a second position, not shown, for which the end 31 is pressed into the middle part. A spring, not visible in the drawing, has the role of pushing the plate 28 to its first position.

The plate 28 has a notch 32 whose role will now appear.

If we go back to figures 1 and 2 it is noted that one of the arms 25 also has, at its end opposite the hinge 21, a push button 33 intended to cooperate with the end 31 of the plate 28 so as to counteract the action of the spring by pushing it to his second position.

The figure 2 shows that the frame 22 has, at 12 o'clock, an attachment member, for example a pin 34, mushroom-shaped, intended to take place in the notch 32 of the wafer 28, to form, with the pusher 33 , a locking system.

When the wafer 28 occupies its first position, the head of the mushroom 34 is trapped in the notch 32, thus making it impossible to uncouple the frame 22 (to which the pin 34 belongs) and the middle part 11 (to which the wafer 28 belongs) . It is then not possible to turn the telescope 13 because it is immobilized by the pin 26 implanted in one of its cavities 20.

When, on the other hand, the plate 28 occupies its second position, the head of the mushroom 34 is released from the notch 32, thus making it possible to uncouple the frame 22 and the middle part 11. The box can then be extracted from the frame 22. pivoting on the hinge 21, which makes possible the rotation of the telescope.

A titre indicatif, cet angle est d'environ 40 à 50°.The notched engagement obtained by the cooperation of the male member 38 and the female member maintains the box 10 when it has pivoted and is extracted from the frame, thus facilitating the adjustment of the telescope 13. The respective positions of the male and female members are adjusted so that the angle to tilt the box 10 so that the notch is engaged, allows easy manipulation of the bezel. As an indication, this angle is about 40 to 50 °.

If, voluntarily or inadvertently, a force tends to tilt the box 10 further, the member 38 disengages from the member and comes into contact with the protuberance 40. This is dimensioned so as to prevent the organ can cross it. Thus, according to the example, the balls are blocked against the bar, limiting the movement of the box and preventing the ice from striking a surrounding object.

Thus is proposed a diving watch whose box 10 is, in current use, trapped locked in its frame 22, so that its rotating bezel 13, previously set by the plunger, can not, under any circumstances, be actuated . The push button 33 makes it possible to release the box and to tilt it out of the frame so, if necessary, to rotate the telescope to display the desired dive time.

The embodiment described above has been given by way of non-limiting illustration of the invention. The skilled person may provide various locking means for holding the watch case in the position in which the bezel is blocked. Different means of immobilizing the telescope may also be provided, for example, the frame may comprise a first toothing that can cooperate with a second toothing which is provided with the telescope. In addition, the axis and the tubular elements forming the hinge could be arranged inversely, that is to say, solidarily of the box and frame, respectively. It is the same for the elements forming the notch connection between the frame and the box. The frame could be shaped to provide several notches, to maintain the box in several positions at different tilt angles. More generally, the skilled person may provide a device other than a notch engagement to maintain the box in the position in which it is extracted from the frame.

Claims (9)

  1. A diving watching including:
    - a case (10) enclosing a clockwork movement associated with means for displaying the time (15, 16), said case being formed by a middle (11), a back (12) and a rotary bezel (13), and
    - a frame (22) on which said case is mounted articulated and configured so as to define a housing in which the case can be folded down to occupy a first position prohibiting the rotation of its bezel and from which it can be removed in order to allow its rotation.
  2. The watch according to claim 1, characterized in that it includes a system for locking the case in said first position.
  3. The watch according to claim 2, characterized in that said locking system includes:
    - a locking organ (34) integral with the frame (22),
    - a lever (27) integral with the case (10) and capable of occupying a first position in which it is integral with said organ and a second position in which it is detached therefrom, and
    - a push button (33) integral with the frame and designed to control said lever.
  4. The watch according to claim 3, characterized in that said lever (27) is fastened to the middle (11) and arranged inside a recess formed in the case (10).
  5. The watch according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that:
    - the rotary bezel (13) has an outer diameter noticeably larger than that of the middle (11) and has, in its peripheral portion (19), a plurality of regularly distributed cavities (20);
    - the inside of the frame (22) is configured and dimensioned so as to receive the middle (11) and the back (12), but not to allow the bezel (13) to penetrate which can thus rest on the frame; and
    - said frame (22) is provided with a pin (26) designed to be positioned in one of said cavities (20) in order to immobilize it when it is folded down on it.
  6. The watch according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the case (10) is mounted articulated on the frame (22) using a hinge (21) arranged at the 6 o'clock position.
  7. The watch according to one of claims 1 to 6, whereof the movement is associated with a control crown (18), characterized in that the control crown (18) is arranged at the 12 o'clock position.
  8. The watch according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that it includes means (38) for maintaining the case (10) in at least one second position in which it is removed from the frame (22), allowing the rotation of the bezel (13).
  9. The watch according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that it includes a blocking member (40) to limit the movement of the case relative to the frame.
