- A device for the transfer of imaging layers from a substrate foil onto print sheets at least with one application unit (1) for a pictorial coating of the print sheets with an adhesive and with a coating module (2) for transferring the imaging layers from the substrate foil onto the print sheets in a transfer nip (6) between an impression cylinder (4) and a press roller (3), wherein the substrate foil can be guided with the coated side contacting the print sheet jointly with the latter through the transfer gap (6) and in the process the imaging layers can be pictorially transferred onto the print sheet, and with a device for feeding the transfer foil (5) to the coating unit (2) and for discharging from the coating unit (2) with a drive for moving the transfer foil in working direction, wherein the foil feed of the transfer foil (5) is controllable by means of a device for the foil guidance in such a manner that the transport of the transfer foil (5) is stopped in particular when in the transfer nip (6) of the coating unit (2) no transfer of an imaging layer onto a print sheet takes place, and wherein the press roller (3) is provided with a covering (10),

that the press covering (10) contains arrangement for the accurately fitting fastening on the press roller (3) or
that the press covering (10) or a carrier of the press covering (10) comprises one or multiple register punchings. - The device according to claim 1,
characterized in
that a control in conjunction with a foil guide of the transfer foil (5) is provided in such a manner that at least when during the passing through of a gripper of the sheet guiding impression cylinder (4) receiving cylinder channel (19) of the press roller (3) the foil feed is stopped, wherein the press roller (3) slidingly runs through subject to further contacting of the transfer foil (5). - The device according to claim 1 or 2,
characterized in
that as surface of the press cylinder (3) an elevated press area (21) which is contoured in the outline is provided, wherein the press area (20, 21) is limited to the region to be maximally coated. - The device according to claim 1 to 3,
characterized in
that on the surface of the press roller (3) a cutout blanket or a plastic high-pressure forme processed according to the contoured press area (13) to be coated is arranged in an accurately fitting manner with respect to the area of the print sheet to be coated. - The device according to claim 4,
characterized in
that on the surface of the press roller (3) or on the covering (10) of the press roller (3) a pressure segment (22) which is contoured according to the area to be coated, that can be glued on or otherwise fastened, preferably releasably, such as for example a magnetically held pressure segment (22) for forming a segmented press area (21) is provided. - The device for the transfer of imaging layers from a substrate foil onto print sheets at least with one application unit (1) for a pictorial coating of the print sheets with an adhesive and with a coating module (2) for transferring the imaging layers from the substrate foil onto the print sheets in a transfer nip (6) between an impression cylinder (4) and a press roller (3), wherein the substrate foil with the coated side contacting the print sheets can be guided jointly with the latter through the transfer nip (6) and in the process the imaging layers can be pictorially transferred onto the print sheet, and with a device for feeding the transfer foil (5) to the coating module (2) and for discharging from the coating module (2) with a drive for moving the transfer foil in working direction, wherein the transfer foil (5) is divided into one or multiple part foil webs of a smaller width and the part foil webs are fed to the transfer nip (6) positioned or next to one another, and wherein the press roller (3) is provided with a covering (10),
characterized in
that the press covering (10) includes arrangements for the accurately fitting fastening on the press roller (3) or
that the press covering (10) or a carrier of the press covering (10) comprises one or multiple register punchings. - The device according to claim 6,
characterized in
that the part foil webs are provided with imaging layers which are different from one another, wherein layers of different colour and/or different gloss and/or different surface structure can be generated. - The device according to claim 6 or 7,
characterized in
that as surface of the press cylinder (3) an elevated press area (21) which is contoured in the outline is provided, wherein the press area (20, 21) is limited to the region to be maximally coated. - The device according to claim 6 to 8,
characterized in
that on the surface of the press roller (3) a cutout printing blanket or a plastic high-pressure forme processed according to the press area (13) contoured according to the region to be processed is arranged accurately fittingly with respect to the area of the print sheet to be coated. - The device according to claim 9,
characterized in
that on the surface of the press roller (3) or on the covering (10) of the press roller (3) a pressure segment (22) which is contoured according to the region to be coated, can be glued on or which is to be fastened otherwise, preferably releasably, such as for example magnetically held pressure segment (22) for forming a segmented press area (21) is provided. - The device according to claim 1 to 10,

that the press roller (3) includes a device for the positioning of the position of the press covering (10) relative to the impression cylinder (4) cooperating with the latter. - The device according to claim 11,

that the press roller (3) includes a register device for positioning the position of the press covering (10) on the press roller (3) in conjunction with the register punching. - The device according to claim 12,

that the register device is provided in conjunction with clamping devices for the press covering (10) or a carrier for the press covering (10). - The device according to claim 1 to 13,

that on the press roller (3) an automatic clamping device for the register-appropriate clamping of the press covering (10) or of the carrier for the press covering (10) is provided. - The device according to claim 14,
characterized in
that the automatic clamping device for the register-appropriate clamping of the press covering (10) or of the carrier for the press covering (10) on the press roller (3) is rendered effective in conjunction with the register device or the register punching. - A method for the coating of print sheets in a sheet-processing machine, in particular a sheet-fed rotary printing press subject to using a transfer foil (5) formed of imaging layers and a substrate foil for the transfer of imaging layers from the substrate foil onto the print sheets in that- at least with one application unit (1) a pictorial coating of a print sheet with an adhesive takes place, and- in a coating module (2) a transfer foil (5) is inserted, in the imaging layers of which on the substrate foil image elements are arranged in such a manner that their image side is adheringly arranged on the substrate foil,- in that by means of a coating module (2) a transferring of the imaging layers or image elements from the substrate foil onto the print sheet takes place, wherein in the coating module (2) an impression cylinder (4) and a press roller (3) form a common transfer nip (6),- wherein the transfer foil (5) can be guided through the transfer nip (6) in such a manner that it is guided through the transfer nip (6) with the coated side placed onto the print sheet guided on the impression cylinder (4) and under pressure jointly with the print sheet,- wherein the imaging layer/s or image elements following the exit of the print sheet from the transfer gap (6) in the region of the pictorial regions provided with adhesive surface-conformingly adheres to the print sheet and is lifted off the substrate foil,- in that the transfer foil (5) in the transfer nip (6) is pressed against the print sheet only in the region of the pictorial coating/s and- in that the press covering (10) or a carrier of the press covering (10) is clamped register-accurately onto the press roller (3).
- The method according to claim 16,
characterized in
that on the press roller (3) one or multiple pressure segments (22) are attached, which have a press area (21), the area of which is matched to the area extent of the pictorial coatings and in that transfer foil (5), seen axially to the press roller (3), is fed to the transfer nip (6) merely in the region of axial portions provided with press areas (21). - The method according to claim 17,
characterized in
that the transfer foil (5) is fed to the transfer nip (6) in the form of part foil webs in the axial portions in which there is occupancy with press areas (21). - The method according to claim 16,
characterized in
that on the press roller (3) one or multiple pressure segments (22) are attached, which comprise a press area (21), the area of which is matched to the area extension of the pictorial coatings, and in that transfer foil (5), seen in circumferential direction to the press roller (3), is merely fed to the transfer nip (6) in the region of circumferential portions provided with press areas (21). - The method according to claim 19,
characterized in
that the transfer foil (5) is fed to the transfer nip (6) by steps in the axial portions in which there is occupancy with press areas (21). - The method according to claim 16 to 20,
characterized in
that the print sheet in one or multiple printing units after the coating by means of the transfer foil (5) is provided with a monochrome or polychrome print image.
