Abstract

The invention relates to a fluid reservoir for a paint spray gun, comprising a cup-shaped receptacle (1), a lid (2) that can be placed thereon (1) and a connecting part (3) which can be formed on the receptacle (1) or on the cover (2) and which is used to secure the fluid reservoir to the paint spray gun. According to the invention, a transition area (12) between the connecting part (3) and the receptacle (1) or the cover is embodied in a flexible manner in order to adjust the inclination of the receptacle (1) or the cover (2) in relation to the central axis (14) of the connecting part (3) in order to improve material guiding, even when the paint spray gun is inclined positions.

Description

Gravity cup for a paint spray gun

The invention relates to a flow cup for a paint spray gun according to the preamble of claim 1.

Conventional Gravity cup for paint spray guns generally have a cup-shaped container, on the underside an aperture having a connection part for detachable mounting of the container on top of the paint spray gun is provided. The connection part usually consists of a container base arranged on the connecting piece, which has an external thread for screwing into a corresponding threaded opening at the top of the paint spray gun. In the known flow cups of the connecting part is generally rigidly mounted to the container. This object is achieved by a flow cup with the features of claim 1. Expedient refinements and advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

A significant advantage of the gravity cup according to the invention is that the ink container can be lobed relative to the connector. The inclination of the mounted on the spray gun fluid reservoir can thus be changed if necessary, so as to ensure the influx of color to the paint spray gun even with larger inclinations of the spray gun. The adjustment is achieved in that a transition region between the connecting part and the container or the lid is designed to be flexible. The connecting part for detachably fastening the gravity cup to the paint spray gun may be attached to the container or on the lid. When the connector is on the cover, the container is in its operative position on the head.

In a production-technically simple embodiment of the invention, at the transition region between the connecting part and the container or the cover, a wall thickness transition from a thicker wall thickness at the connecting part in a thinner wall thickness at the container or cover is provided.
