Abstract

A water-conducting household appliance, in particular a dishwasher, has a pump (1) designed as a circulating pump, in the flow channel (11) of which a heating element (12) is arranged, which serves for heating or heating a cleaning liquid.

Description

  • The invention relates to a water-conducting household appliance having a pump which has a pump housing having at least one inlet opening and at least one outlet opening, in which a motor is arranged, which is encapsulated liquid-tight against a cleaning liquid to be conveyed in the pump housing by a motor housing.
  • From the prior art, a water-conducting household appliance, in particular a dishwasher with a pump is known. The pump designed as a circulating pump serves to circulate the cleaning liquid during the flushing process. The pump is associated with a pump housing having an inlet opening and an outlet opening for the flow of a cleaning liquid. Within the pump housing, a motor housing is arranged, in which a motor of the pump is arranged. At an armature of the motor, an impeller is arranged, which sucks the cleaning liquid through the inlet opening and passes on to the outlet opening, where it flows out of the pump housing.
    The inlet opening of the pump housing is connected to a collecting container for receiving and dispensing cleaning liquid. The outlet port is connected to a flow heater which serves to heat the cleaning fluid.
    A serious disadvantage of this solution, however, is that the cleaning liquid in a non-heated state leaves the pump housing via the outlet opening. Thus, the water heater is forcibly required to heat the cleaning liquid.
  • The object of the invention in water-conducting household appliances of the type mentioned is to improve the state of the art with simple constructive measures.
  • The object is achieved according to the invention in that within the pump housing at least one flow channel is formed, are associated with the means for heating the cleaning liquid.
  • The main advantage is that can be dispensed with a water heater, since the cleaning liquid is heated in the flow channel of the pump housing. Furthermore, this arrangement is characterized by the fact that it is very cost-effective in their production, since it dispenses with a water heater. Also, the construction is simplified by the waiver of the water heater, as the pump is coupled directly to a water inlet device that supplies a treatment room of the water-bearing household appliance with cleaning liquid. As a result, advantageously dispensed with a seal between the water heater and the pump, whereby a cost-effective solution is possible.
  • According to a preferred embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that the cleaning fluid within the flow channel can be heated by the waste heat of the engine.
    By this arrangement it is ensured that the waste heat of the engine is used to heat the arranged in the flow channel cleaning fluid. It prevents that the waste heat of the engine is released to the environment and wasted unnecessarily. In the case that the flow heater is still coupled behind the pump, the water heater will require a lower heating energy, since the cleaning liquid is supplied to it already in a heated state. This advantageously reduces the heating time of the cleaning fluid and thus also the overall program duration.
  • Very simple is the structure of the water-conducting household appliance, if it is provided according to a further preferred embodiment of the subject invention that the motor housing forms at least in sections a wall of the flow channel.
  • According to a further embodiment of the object of the invention it is provided that the motor housing is formed of thermally conductive material, which serves as a heat exchange surface for heating the cleaning liquid.
    This arrangement ensures that the heat generated in the motor housing is transferred to the cleaning liquid arranged in the flow channel.
  • According to an alternative embodiment of the object of the invention it is provided that within the flow channel, a heating element is arranged.
    By this arrangement is ensured in an advantageous manner that the cleaning liquid is heated sufficiently within the flow channel and thus dispensed with a water heater. The arranged in the flow channel heating elements are quite sufficient to heat the cleaning liquid.
  • According to a further preferred embodiment of the object of the invention it is provided that the heating element is designed as a tubular heater.
    This arrangement is particularly characterized by the fact that a tubular heater is inexpensive to manufacture and is to be installed by simple structural measures in the pump housing.
  • According to a further alternative embodiment of the object of the invention it is provided that the heating element is designed as a thick film heater.
    A significant advantage of this design is that the thick film heater is very inexpensive to manufacture and only takes up minimal space in the flow channel of the pump. Thus simplify the design measures for the preparation of the pump.
  • According to a further preferred embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that the flow channel at least partially surrounds the motor housing and is arranged in heat-conducting contact with the motor housing.
    By this arrangement it is ensured that the cleaning liquid is sufficiently heated or heated in the flow channel. It is particularly advantageous if the flow channel completely delimits the motor housing, since in this case the entire waste heat of the engine can be used.
  • According to a further embodiment of the object of the invention it is provided that within the pump housing, a flow channel for the cleaning liquid is formed, which is spirally formed around the heat exchange surface.
    By this arrangement is ensured in an advantageous manner that the cleaning liquid is sufficiently heated or heated. Furthermore, by this Arrangement achieves a noise reduction, since there is substantially no turbulence of the cleaning liquid takes place in the flow channel.
  • The invention is explained below with reference to an embodiment shown in simplified form in the drawing.
  • The single FIGURE shows a pump shown schematically in cross-section, in whose flow channel a heating element is arranged.
  • The figure shows a trained as a circulating pump 1 for a water-bearing household appliance, in particular for a dishwasher not shown in detail. Alternatively, the pump 1 could also be used in a washing machine.
    The pump 1 has a pump housing 2, which has an inlet opening 3 and an outlet opening 4 for the passage of a cleaning liquid. The pump housing 2 is made of steel in the present case.
    Within the pump housing 2, a motor housing 5 is arranged, in which the motor 6 is located. A motor 7 associated with the coil 7 and a motor 6 associated stator 8 are disposed within the motor housing 5. The motor housing 5 has an opening through which a rotor 6 associated with the motor 6 extends. The rotor 9 is partially within the motor housing 5 and partially within the pump housing 2. The part of the armature 9, which is arranged in the pump housing 2, is non-positively connected to an impeller 10 of the pump 1. The impeller 10 is preferably formed in the present case of a good heat conducting material, so that the waste heat of the motor 6 transmits to the cleaning liquid.
    The pump housing 2 and the motor housing 6 form a flow channel 11, via the inlet opening 3, a cleaning liquid flows in and out through the outlet opening 4, the cleaning liquid flows out. The motor housing 5 forms in the present case in sections a wall of the flow channel 11, which is formed of a thermally conductive material, in particular of steel. Penetration of cleaning fluid from the flow channel 11 into the motor housing 5 is excluded. Alternatively, it is possible for the flow passage 11 to be spirally formed in heat-conductive contact around the pump housing 2, whereby noise reduction is achieved.
  • Within the flow channel 11 designed as a tubular heater heating element 12 is arranged, which serves to heat the cleaning liquid. The heating element 12 has a plurality of round-shaped heating coil, which lead to the motor housing 6. The pump has in its pump housing 2 not shown openings through which the heating element is led to the outside. The electrical connections of the heating element are arranged outside the pump housing 2. Alternatively, it is likewise possible that the heating element 12 is designed as a thick-film heater.
  • During a rinsing process comprising "pre-rinse" - "cleaning" - "intermediate rinse" - "rinse" - "dry" partial program steps, the cleaning liquid is circulated by means of the pump 1, in which the motor 6 is put into operation. The impeller 10 is set in motion to suck the cleaning liquid from a collecting container, not shown, for receiving and discharging a cleaning liquid through the inlet opening 3. The cleaning liquid flows into the flow channel 11, where it is heated by the waste heat of the motor 6.
    In particular, during the cleaning step, the cleaning liquid is heated by the heating element 12 in order to clean a good to be cleaned. In the present case can be dispensed with a water heater, since in the flow channel 11, the heating element 12 is arranged, which in addition to the heat of the engine is a heat source. By means of the heating element 12, the cleaning liquid is thus heated and leaves the flow channel 11 via the outlet opening 4 in a water inlet device for distributing the cleaning liquid.

Claims (9)

  1. Water-conducting domestic appliance having a pump (1) which has a pump housing (2) having at least one inlet opening (3) and at least one outlet opening (4), in which a motor (6) is arranged, which is liquid-tight against a cleaning liquid to be conveyed in the Pump housing (2) by a motor housing (5) is encapsulated, characterized in that within the pump housing (6) at least one flow channel (11) is formed, are associated with the means for heating the cleaning liquid.
  2. Water-conducting domestic appliance according to claim 1, characterized in that the cleaning liquid within the flow channel (11) by the waste heat of the motor (6) is heated.
  3. Water-conducting domestic appliance according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the motor housing (5) at least partially forms a wall of the flow channel (11).
  4. Water-conducting household appliance according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the motor housing (5) is formed of thermally conductive material, which serves as a heat exchange surface for heating the cleaning liquid.
  5. Water-conducting household appliance according to claim 1, characterized in that a heating element (12) is arranged within the flow channel (11).
  6. Water-conducting domestic appliance according to claim 5, characterized in that the heating element (12) is designed as a tubular heater.
  7. Water-conducting domestic appliance according to claim 5, characterized in that the heating element (12) is designed as a thick-film heater.
  8. Water-conducting household appliance according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the flow channel (11) at least partially surrounds the motor housing (5) and is arranged in heat-conducting contact with the motor housing.
  9. Water-conducting household appliance according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that within the pump housing (2) a flow channel (11) is formed for the cleaning liquid, which is spirally formed around the heat exchange surface.
