Abstract

The machine has printing units with a rubber cylinder (11) and a form cylinder (12) that are coupled and decoupled by a coupling. A control device (15) is directly provided between cylinders and/or rollers of the units and the form cylinder, where the cylinders are driven by a main drive (10). The device closes the coupling between the rubber and form cylinders and connects a drive (13) of the form cylinder in a moment-release manner. An independent claim is also included for a method of operating a sheet printing machine.
