Abstract

Either the central outer sheet (1) of one of the door faces, both sheets of both faces or one or all of the sheets of the panels of the door are made of cardboard and a paper of the suitable thickness and properties and are printed with solvent inks based on a resin or the like which, after installation, are pressed and varnished (3) as the rest of the door, being integrated in the structure of the door with the traditional feel of normal wood.

Description

    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a method for decorating doors and to the doors obtained thereby, applicable in the field of wooden doors made of an outer frame and one or several inner components, with an agglomerate board core and one or more outer coatings.
  • The invention is also characterised by a special construction of the central sheet, both sheets, or the sheet or sheets of the panels made of printed cardboard or suitable paper that is pressed and varnished as conventional wood sheets.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Up to now it was possible to cover in paper or cloth or apply a trimming to a wall, door, panel or partition in agreement with the decoration of the premises in which they were located.
  • In the case of applying a paper sheet, despite the care applied at its location and its insertion in the frame, it is normal that after a relatively short period scrapes, stains, rips and other undesired blemishes appear, while in addition the wood sheet covering the agglomerate board body of the door, despite its cost, ceases to fulfil its function as it is concealed.
  • The applicant is not aware of the existence of laminar decoration means in the form of printed sheets that solve the aforementioned drawbacks with the simplicity and efficiency of the invention described below.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a method for decorating doors and the doors thereby obtained, from among wooden doors made from several components comprising an outer frame that is meant to close the opening in the wall by being coupled in the fixed frame inserted in said wall.
  • Said outer door frame is generally followed by a peripheral strip around one or several inner multi-layered bodies having an agglomerate board core and outer coatings made of a wood sheet veneer.
  • This invention characterises a special construction of the outer central sheet of one of the faces of the door, of both sheets of both faces or of one, some or all of the sheets of the door panels, made of cardboard or a paper of suitable thickness and properties, such as uncoated cardboard or absorbent paper.
  • Said cardboard or paper printed with solvent inks based on a resin or the like replace the conventional wood sheet or sheets and, after being installed, are pressed and varnished as the conventional wood sheets, as is the rest of the door, being integrated in the door structure and having the feel of normal wood.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The present description is completed by a set of drawings that illustrate an example of a preferred embodiment and in no way limit the invention.
  • Figure 1 is a partial cross-section of the door showing the decorated cardboard or paper sheets of the invention and a detailed view of its finish.
  • PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
  • In view of the above, the present invention relates to a door and a method for decorating doors for wooden doors with an outer frame and a peripheral strip with one or several multi-layer inner bodies, an agglomerate board core and outer laminar coatings essentially characterised by applying, on one or both faces of the central agglomerate board, of the two agglomerate boards or of the panels, one or several outer sheets (1), either a cardboard or paper sheet with a thickness and properties suitable for resisting temperatures of up to 120°C, the cardboard or paper sheet being previously printed with solvent inks based on a resin or the like, to replace the conventional wooden sheet or sheets (2) so that, after they are applied, they are pressed and receive a layer of varnish (3) as said wooden sheets (2), together with the rest of the door, subsequently drying the door and leaving the cardboard or paper integrated in its structure with the traditional wooden feel.
  • The essence of this invention is not affected by variations in the materials, shape, size and arrangement of its component elements, described in a non-limiting manner that should allow its reproduction by an expert.

Claims (2)

  1. Method for decorating doors, for wooden doors with an outer frame and a peripheral strip with one or several multi-layer inner bodies, an agglomerate board core and outer laminar coatings essentially characterised by applying, on one or both faces of the central agglomerate board, of the two agglomerate boards or of the panels, one or several outer sheets (1), either a cardboard or paper sheet with a thickness and properties suitable for resisting temperatures of up to 120°C, the cardboard or paper sheet being previously printed with solvent inks based on a resin or the like, to replace the conventional wooden sheet or sheets (2) so that, after they are applied, they are pressed and receive a layer of varnish (3) as said wooden sheets (2), together with the rest of the door subsequently drying the door and leaving the cardboard or paper integrated in its structure.
  2. Decorated doors according to the previous claim, characterised by incorporating, instead of the wooden sheet or sheets (2), a sheet of cardboard or paper previously printed with solvent inks based on a resin or the like with a layer of varnish (3).
