Abstract

An air motor (3) is connected with an air source (11) through an electro-pneumatic converter (12) which is connected with a rotation controller (13). When a target rotational speed (N0) and an ejection quantity of paint (Q0) are altered, the rotation controller (13) selects a steady value (is) from a rotation data selection table in order to supply an air pressure sufficient for the air motor (3) to be rotation-driven in a steady state under the altered condition. The rotation controller (13) outputs the new steady value (is) thus selected as an input current value (i) to the electro-pneumatic converter (12). Consequently, the rotational speed of the air motor (3) can be converged quickly to the altered target rotational speed (N0).
