Description

Technisches GebietTechnical area

The invention relates to a device for bridging a difference in height between two floor surfaces with a cover having a the two floor surfaces edge cross-Abdeckflansch and at least one of Abdeckflansch downwardly projecting, extending in the longitudinal direction of the cover, clamped in a holder clamping jaw, and with a balancing strip between the cover flange of the cover profile and the lower of the two floor surfaces.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

In order to bridge steps, joints or joints in the area of floor coverings, it is known ( EP 1 113 124 A2 ) to provide the steps, joints or joints bridging cover profiles, which are fastened invisibly by means of brackets. For this purpose, the brackets consist of a rail with a bottom-side fastening web and rising from this fastening web support legs, between which the cover is held clamped with a downwardly projecting clamping collar. By a wedge shape of the holder, a step can be bridged, which exceeds the bridging height of the cover itself, because the cover profile can be arranged inclined by the wedge-shaped holder.

To bridge different differences in height between adjacent floor surfaces, it is known ( WO 99/01628 A1 ), to provide a metallic cover profile which forms along the clamping collar a groove, which allows bending of the protruding from the clamping projection leg portion, so that over the respective bending angle adaptation the cover profile is achieved at the respective height difference between the floor surfaces to be bridged.

However, such an adaptation to differences in height in the area to be bridged floor surfaces requires cover profiles with corresponding bending properties, as they are not given, for example, wood-based materials. In order to allow a corresponding adaptation to height differences between two floor surfaces even with wood materials, without having to use different cover profiles, it has already been proposed ( WO 03/040492 A1 ), the cover profile on the side of the lower floor surface assign a compensating strip, which is provided for attachment to the underside of the cover of the cover with an undercut groove into which engages a form-fitting for clamping connection of the cover parallel web on the underside of the cover. The disadvantage of this known device for bridging a height difference between two floor surfaces is especially that the web on the underside of the cover makes it difficult to produce the cover and that the separate production of the cover and the compensation strip due to the unavoidable manufacturing tolerances a backlash joining the cover and the balancing bar barely allows. In addition, the cover profile can only be used as a cover of an expansion joint between two level floor surfaces without compensation strip, if previously the web is entfert on the bottom of Abdeckflansches.

WO03 / 040492 discloses an apparatus according to the preamble of claim 1.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention is therefore based on the object, a device for bridging a height difference between two floor surfaces of the type described in such a way that, despite a simple production, the requirements for an accurate joining of the cover and the compensation strip can be met.

The invention solves the problem set by the fact that the holder forms a clamping fit for the compensation strip.

Since, according to this measure, the clamping attachment of the cover receiving bracket also forms a clamping fit for the compensation strip, it requires no positive connection between the cover and the compensation strip, which creates simple manufacturing conditions for both the cover and the compensation strip, because yes on the Underside of the cover of the cover profile to provide a projecting web is yet to incorporate a longitudinal groove in the cover strip. The webless underside of the cover of the cover also allows the use of the cover for bridging expansion joints between level floor sections, without having to edit the cover additionally.

The holder on the one hand for the cover and on the other hand for the compensating strip can be structurally different, because it depends only on appropriate terminal connections that ensure a mutual local assignment of the cover and the compensation strip. Particularly simple construction conditions arise, however, if the holder in a conventional manner consists of a rail with upstanding by a mounting web support legs for clamping receiving the clamping collar of the cover, wherein the mounting web is widened on the side of the lower floor surface on the Hatterungsschenkel out and carries the clamping seat for the compensating bar, which is thus only to introduce into the clamping seat, before the cover is clamped with the clamping attachment between the support legs and thereby applies the Abdeckflansch to the compensation strip. The clamping seat for the compensation strip can advantageously be formed from a engaging in a longitudinal groove of the compensation strip support leg, which defines the compensation strip opposite to the clamped in the rail of the bracket cover profile transverse to the longitudinal direction. In addition, the cover flange of the cover profile for the compensation strip on the side of the clamping collar form an edge stop, so that the local Klemmansatzes form an edge stop, so that the local assignment of cover profile and compensating strip is done not only on the holder, but also directly on the edge stop. In connection with the serving as a clamping seat support leg there is the advantage that the compensation strip rests under a resilient bias of this support leg on the edge stop of the cover, which allows the compensation of manufacturing tolerances. If the cover profile used without compensating strip, for example, to bridge an expansion joint, the widened part of the mounting web of the holder can impede their installation within the expansion joint. For this reason, the widened beyond the support leg portion of the fastening web can be separated via a predetermined breaking point from the rest of the mounting web.

The webless underside of the cover flange of the cover profile is an essential prerequisite for a simple manufacturing process of the cover and the compensation strip. This manufacturing method is characterized in that first a common profile body is made, the cross section of the cross sections of the cover and at least one under machining allowances for corresponding kerfs on the one hand to the underside of the Abdeckflansches and on the other hand to the side surface of the Klemmansatzes adjoining compensating strip, and that then the compensation strip is separated from the cover profile by cuts along the underside of the Abdeckflansches and the side surface of the Klemmansatzes. By producing the cover profile and the compensating strip of a common profile body with separating cuts on the one hand along the underside of the cover and on the other hand along the side surface of the clamping projection of the cover not only the material used for the cover and the compensation strip can be used advantageously, but also significantly increases the accuracy of fit be because deviations from the desired sectional plane can be found both in the region of the cover and in the area of the compensation strip, so that when joining the cover and the compensation strip these deviations correspond to each other, which allows a backlash-free joining of cover and compensation strip.

Although the profile body can be limited to the joint manufacturing of the cover and a single compensating strip, two different shaped compensating strips can be cut from a common profile body with a cover advantageous if initially a common profile body for a cover and two provided on both sides of the clamping collar compensation strips is made before the two compensating strips are separated by a respective section along the underside of the Abdeckflansches and the respective side surface of the clamping collar of the cover. Thus, two compensating strips are available for a cover strip, which can be used as required.

The joint manufacturing of cover profile and compensation strip or compensation strips brings additional benefits for coated cover profiles and compensating strips with it, because these coatings do not differ from each other differences in terms of structure and visual appearance of the coatings of the cover and the compensating strips, if the common profile body first coated on the later visible sides of the cover and the compensation strip or the compensating strips and only then separated into the cover and the compensation strip or compensating strips. The difference between the abutting in the joint area between the cover profile and compensating strips coatings may relate at most to occurring in the area of the kerf changes, which can be neglected due to the small kerf widths in the visual appearance.

If the cover profiles and the compensating strips are coated in droplets, as is the case, for example, with a spray coating, a vapor deposition or a coating from a coating mist, the common profile body can first be cut along the underside of the covering flange and then coated before the covering profile and the cover profile Compensation strip or compensation strips completely separated by a cut along the respective side surface of the clamping attachment become. This partial cut, for example, before painting has the advantage that a partial coating of the kerf occurs with de effect that the longitudinal edges formed by the kerf between Abdeckflansch and compensating strip are coated both in the region of the cover and the compensation strip, resulting in a subsequent Cut is not the case.

In order to avoid an edge gap between the covering flange and the cover surface overlapped by the cover when covering the higher of the two floor surfaces, the cut along the underside of the cover of the cover profile under a a distinction of the Abdeckflansches conditional, acute angle. Due to the wedge effect, this undercut also causes centering of the compensation strip when the cover profile is loaded and the compensation strip is pressed against the edge stop.

Overlap the kerfs of the along the underside of the Abdeckflansches and along the side surface of the Klemmansatzes guided sections only in a portion of the kerf width, then results in the overlap region of the kerf a paragraph that can serve as an edge stop for the compensating strip, which against this edge stop over the bracket is pressed in order to achieve a precise position assignment of the compensation strip for cover profile.

Weg zur Ausführung der ErfindungWay to carry out the invention

According to the embodiment of the Fig. 1 is a height difference between a floor surface 1, for example, a floor covering 2, and a floor surface 3 to bridge, which is formed according to the embodiment by the floor covering 2 receiving substrate. Of course, the floor surface 3 can also be created by another floor covering. To bridge the difference in height between the floor surfaces 1 and 3, a cover 4 is used, which consists of a cover 5 and a Abdeckflansch 5 after lower projecting clamping attachment 6, which is clamped in a holder 7. This holder 7 is formed in the form of a profile rail, which has upstanding from a fastening web 8, resilient support legs 9, between which the clamping attachment 6 of the cover 4 engages. Since the cover 4 is formed symmetrically to a longitudinal center plane, the height difference between the floor surfaces 1 and 3 can not be bridged by the cover profile. To compensate for this difference in height, therefore, a compensation strip 10 is provided which connects on the side of the lower floor surface 3 to the underside of the cover 5 of the cover 4 and is supported on this floor surface 3. In order to ensure a flush termination between the compensating bar 1 0 and the Abdeckflansch 5, without having to provide a positive connection between these structural parts, the holder 7 forms a clamping seat 11 for the compensation strip 10. For this purpose, the fastening web 8 on the support legs 9 addition widened and wears in the Area of the longitudinal edge of this broadening a support leg 12 which engages in a longitudinal groove 13 of the compensation strip 10 by clamping. The Abdeckflansch 5 of the cover 4 also forms in the region of the clamping projection 6 an edge stop 14 for the compensation strip 10, which is pressed under a resilient bias of the support leg 12 of the clamping seat 11 to this edge stop, so that a precise position assignment of the compensation strip 10 for cover 4 is reached.

With the help of the compensation strip 10 can thus be bridged in cooperation with a symmetrical with respect to a longitudinal center plane cover profile 4, the height difference between two floor surfaces 1 and 3 without affecting the use of the cover as a cover expansion joint in the area of a floor covering, in the expansion joint has no height difference. This is achieved by the attachment of the compensation strip 10 via the clamping seat 11 of the holder 7, because in this case no positive connection between the cover 5 and the compensation strip 10 is required. However, the clamping seat 11 of the holder 7 for the compensation strip 10 by no means excludes an adhesive bond between the compensation strip 10 and the adjacent portion of the Abdeckflansches 5, which may be provided for this purpose with an adhesive strip, which is not shown in detail for clarity. If the cover profile 4 is used without a compensation strip 10, the widened part of the attachment web 8 with the support leg 12 generally impedes the displacement of the support 7. For this reason, the widened part of the attachment web 8 with the support leg 12 is beyond ... a .soll break point detachably attached to the rail of the holder 7, as shown in the Fig. 1 is indicated. If necessary, therefore, the support leg 12 can be separated with the widened portion of the fastening web 8 of the rest of the rail.

The mere application of the compensation strip 10 at the associated portion of the Abdeckflansches 5 represents an advantageous condition for easy production of the cover strip 10 and the cover 4 is because the cover 4 and the cover strip 10 according to the Fig. 2 to 4 can be made from a common profile body 15. According to the Fig. 2 to 4 includes the common profile body 15 not only a compensation strip 10 but two compensating strips 10 different shape, which further expands the applications of the cover 4 due to the optional use of one of the two compensating strips 10.

Again Fig. 2 can be removed, the cross section of the common profile body 15 is composed of the cross sections on the one hand of the cover 4 and on the other side of the compensating strips 10, wherein between dern Abdeckflansch 5 and the clamping attachment 6 of the dot-dash line cross section of the cover 4 and the subsequent, also in terms of their outline shape dash-dotted lines indicated compensating strips 10 machining allowances 16 are provided for corresponding kerfs. In the Fig. 3 the compensating strips 10 are already partially separated by kerfs 17 along the underside of the cover flange 5 from the later cover profile 4. The complete separation takes place by cuts along the side surfaces of the clamping attachment 6, as can be seen by the dash-dotted lines indicated kerfs 18. The completely separated from the cover 4 compensating strips 10 are in the Fig. 4 see, in a mutual assignment according to the profile body 15, from which was assumed. It turns out that the cover 4 and the compensating strips 10 from the common profile body 15 by simple, straight cuts corresponding to the kerfs 17 and 18 can be made, with the advantage that unavoidable Schnittungenauigkeiten when assembling the cover 4 with one of compensate for both compensation strips.

According to the Fig. 3 overlap the kerfs 17 and 18 along the underside of the Abdeckflansches 5 and along the side surface of the clamping attachment 6 only in a portion of the kerf widths, so that due to this cut in the area of the clamping projection 6 of the cover 4 gives a paragraph that can serve as a border stop 14 for the corresponding compensation strip 10.

To avoid marginal gaps between the covering the floor surface 1 cover 5 and the floor covering 2 of the Abdeckflansch 5 form an undercut, so that the longitudinal edge of the Abdeckflansches 5 is securely supported on the floor covering 2, as is the Fig. 1 can be removed. In order to achieve such an undercut in the production of the cover 4, the kerfs 17 need only at an acute angle α relative to the cover 5 to run, as the Fig. 3 can be removed. The coincident inclination of the upper surfaces of the compensating strips 10 formed by the kerfs 17 has the advantage that the section of the covering flange 5 can be fully supported in the compensating strip 10 in the area of the compensation strip 10.

The production of the cover 4 and the compensating strips 10 of a common profile body 15 also provides advantageous conditions for a similar coating the visible sides of the cover 4 and the compensating strips 10 sure because the cover 4 and the compensating strips 10 are coated in the form of the profile body 15 together can. Differences with regard to the surface structure and the optical appearance of the coating can only result from changes in the area of the kerfs 17 if, after a coating of the common profile body 15, the separation of the compensation strips 10 from the cover profile 4 is undertaken. This separation through the kerfs 17 can be made before and after the coating, depending on the type of coating. Whereas, in the case of a coating, for example with a film, cutting along the kerfs 17 after application of the coating is recommended in order to achieve the most continuous transition of the coating structure and optical appearance of the coating between the compensation strips 10 and the cover profile 4, in the case of a spray coating, as it represents a painting, a preliminary cutting of the common profile body 15 along the underside of the cover 5 low to order to achieve a coating on the resulting from the kerfs 17 edges, as shown in the Fig. 3 is illustrated by the dot-dash line, sprayed-on coating 19, which extends over the edges into the kerf area.
