Description

The present invention relates to an automatic barrier type device for reserving access to certain lanes or protected areas, for example pedestrian streets, private parking or other. It relates more particularly to an autonomous automatic barrier whose arm is maneuvered by an engine operating with electricity produced by solar energy.

The automatic barrier type devices are conventionally constituted of a technical support box of a rail which is operable around a horizontal axis, by motor means integrated in said technical box.

To simplify the installation operations and avoid the difficulties of connection to the electricity network, some automatic barriers have been designed to operate with solar energy, as described for example in document FR-2 815 975. For this, the technical box the barrier incorporates, in its upper part, a photovoltaic cell panel intended to ensure the charging of a battery supplying electricity to the operating actuator of the rail.

However, the current automatic barriers using solar energy do not work completely satisfactorily, in particular because their photovoltaic cell panel does not always have optimum energy efficiency to properly charge the associated battery.
This performance problem is generally related to an incorrect orientation of the solar panel with respect to the solar path, this orientation being so far exclusively related to the final position of the technical box.

Thus, the Applicant has developed a new autonomous automatic barrier type structure whose operation is improved compared to the autonomous barriers known to date, particularly in terms of energy efficiency of its panel of photovoltaic cells.

For this, the device according to the invention comprises, on the one hand, a technical box support a smooth operable by electric motor means, and on the other hand, a box incorporating one or more photovoltaic cells arranged (s) behind a transparent protective wall constituting a face or a face portion of said box, said photovoltaic cells being intended to charge a battery supplying said motor means with electricity; in addition, this box is provided with means allowing the spatial orientation of said photovoltaic cells or cells in a suitable way to optimize their performance as a function of the solar path, and this independently of the positioning of said technical box.

In a preferred embodiment, the orientation means of the photovoltaic cells consist of means allowing the spatial orientation of the associated box.

According to a first possible embodiment, the box incorporating the photovoltaic cells is carried by a support independent of the technical box, and it cooperates with this support through the means for its spatial orientation.

According to a second possible embodiment, the box incorporating the photovoltaic cells is carried by the technical box, and it cooperates with said box through the means for its spatial orientation. In this case, the cabinet is advantageously attached to the level of the upper face of the technical box; the upper face of the box then cooperates with the lower face facing the box, through the orientation means according to the invention.

The means allowing the spatial orientation of the cabinet can be of the ball joint type.
According to another possible embodiment, these orientation means have a structure adapted to allow the rotation of the box around a vertical axis.
In this case, the upper face of the box is advantageously inclined relative to the horizontal, preferably at an angle of the order of 45 °, and is constituted at least in part by a transparent protective wall behind which are located the photovoltaic cell or cells. Still in this case, the orientation means are advantageously arranged between the underside of the cabinet and the face opposite the technical box; one of said faces is provided with a plurality of projecting members, distributed in a circle whose center is at the level of the vertical axis of rotation, and the other of said faces is provided with an opening whose circular peripheral edge presents a diameter corresponding, with the game, the peripheral diameter defined by the projecting members, and whose center is at the vertical axis of rotation.

In general, the technical box preferably integrates:
  • the battery allowing the power supply of the motor means,
  • an electronic board for managing the control of said motor means, said board being supplied with electricity by said battery, and
  • a receiver system adapted to receive information from an associated transmitter system, to inform said management plate and allow an adapted maneuvering of the beam.

The invention will be further illustrated, without being limited in any way, by the following description of two possible embodiments, with reference to the appended drawings in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a general schematic view of a first possible embodiment of an autonomous barrier according to the invention, in which the box incorporating the photovoltaic cells is attached to the upper face of the technical box, and
  • FIG. 2 is a general schematic view of a second possible embodiment of the autonomous barrier device, showing a box integrating the photovoltaic cells which is attached to a support structure independent of the smooth support box.

The automatic barrier-type device, represented diagrammatically in FIG. 1, comprises a technical box 1 consisting of a chassis 2 mainly integrating electric motor means 3 enabling the operation of an associated rail 4, and an electrical box containing control means and electrical power of said motor means 3. This technical box 1 is surmounted by a box 6 comprising a frame 7 incorporating a photovoltaic cell panel 8, intended to ensure the production of electrical energy for the Power supply of the electrical box 5. The frame 7 of the box 6 and the frame 2 of the technical box 1 have a horizontal section of identical or substantially identical size, advantageously circular; they can be made of steel, aluminum, stainless steel or plastic material.

As is known per se, the technical box 1 allows the maneuver in pivoting of the arm 4 about a horizontal axis 9. In particular, the arm 4 is operated in a conventional manner between a horizontal extended position (position shown in FIG. 1) to form a barrier prohibiting access to the track or protected area, and a vertical folded position (not shown), to release the corresponding access. A deployable bar 10, called "foot of smooth", can be reported at the free end of the rail 4, to ensure its stable holding in the horizontal extended position. This bar 10, free in rotation about the axis 10 ', is optional and conventional.

For the operation of the arm 4, its upstream end is fixed at one end of a rotary shaft 12, centered on the axis 9; the other end of this shaft 12 is fixed in the center of a pulley 13 of large diameter. This pulley 13 is operated by the motor means 3, in this case by means of a belt 14 driven by a motor pulley 15 of small diameter, itself driven in rotation by an electric motor 16. In a conventional manner, to maintain the tension of the belt 14, the motor 16 is mounted on an articulated support, associated with a screw-spring tensioning member; the spacing between the pulleys 13 and 15 is thus effectively maintained.

Bottom end 17 and high 18 end systems are associated with the large diameter pulley 13 to detect its position and, in doing so, respectively detect the horizontal or vertical folded deployed position of the associated arm 4. The end-of-travel systems 17 and 18 concerned here are of the electromagnetic detectors type, but they could of course be of the beam cell type or the like.

A counterweight 19 is fixed on the large-diameter pulley 13 to facilitate its pivoting and limit the forces required to maneuver the rail 4.

The electrical box 5 of the technical box 1, allowing the power supply and the control of the motor 16, mainly comprises an electronic control board 20, a battery 21, a receiver system 22, and also a voltage regulator 23 (this regulator voltage 23 is interposed between the photovoltaic cells 8 and the battery 21).

The battery 21 supplies electricity to the motor 16 of the engine 3 via the management plate 20; this plate 20 is also connected to the receiver system 22 and the end-of-travel systems 17 and 18 above. The different connections are made by appropriate wiring, not shown.

The electronic control panel 20 allows the control of the pivoting of the arm 4 according to the information provided by a transmitter system 25 cooperating with the receiver system 22. The transmitter system system 25 / receiver 22 may be radio type. The transmitter system 25 can then be in the form of a contactless badge, a portable remote control or other. According to a possible alternative embodiment, not shown, the technical box 1 can be associated with a control panel provided with a card reader system.

The electronic board 20 manages the direction of rotation of the drive means 3 and, in doing so, the direction of pivoting of the rail 4, as a function of the information coming from the end-of-travel systems 17 and 18, but also from a safety system 26th.

In this case, the device also incorporates a presence detector type security system 26, connected to the management plate 20. This security system has the task of preventing a return to the horizontal deployed position of the bar while a vehicle or an individual is still in its path, but also to ensure the automatic descent of the beam to its horizontal deployed position when its trajectory is clear of any obstacle.

For charging, the battery 21 of the technical box 1 is properly connected to the photovoltaic cell panel 8 integrated in the box 6. According to the invention, this box 6 can be oriented at will in the space so as to optimize the efficiency of the photovoltaic cells 8 as a function of the solar path, and this independently of the positioning of the associated technical box 1.

In this case, the cabinet 6 is swiveling in the space around a vertical axis 28 which extends coaxially with the longitudinal axis of the technical box assembly 1 / cabinet 6; in addition, the upper face 29 of this cabinet 6, as well as the photovoltaic cell panel 8, are inclined at an angle of the order of 45 ° relative to the horizontal.

The lower face 30 of the box 6 cooperates with the upper face 31 of the technical box 1 by structural means allowing spatial mobility of said box 6 about the aforementioned axis 28.
In this case, the lower face 30 of the box 6 comprises a plurality of members 32 in the form of screws distributed over a circle whose center corresponds to the axis 28. These screws, for example three in number, extend parallel to the 28, and perpendicular to the underside 30 of the box 6. On the other hand, the upper face 31 of the technical box 1 has an opening 33 defined by a circular peripheral edge 34; this circular edge 34 has a diameter corresponding, with the game, to the peripheral diameter defined by the projecting screws 32, and its center is also arranged along the axis 28. Thus, it is clear that the circular peripheral edge 34 of the opening 33 arranged in the box 1 allows a guidance of the projecting members 32 about the axis 28, and in doing so allows the spatial orientation of the box 6 by simple manual rotation.
A plate 35, forming a clamping washer, allows the rotational locking of the box 6, when the latter is properly oriented according to the path of the sun. This plate 35 has orifices 36 for the passage of the ends of the screws 32; bolts 37 are attached to the end of said screws 32, and tightened to obtain the aforementioned locking.
The clamping washer 35 comprises a central orifice 38, in particular for the passage of the connection cables between the electrical box 5 and the photovoltaic cells 8. It will be noted that the bolts 37 associated with the screws 32 are accessible inside the technical box. 1 through an access door (not shown) equipped preferably with a key lock.

The inclination of the upper face 29 of the box 6 at an angle of the order of 45 ° relative to the horizontal, and the possibilities of pivoting said box 6 around the vertical axis 28, optimize the performance 8. Indeed, whatever the constraints in terms of installation location of the technical box 1, the solar panel 8 can be oriented properly relative to the race of the sun. In particular, conventionally, the solar panel 8 will be oriented towards the average position of the sun at noon.

The upper face 29 of the box 6 is constituted at least in part by a transparent wall 40, for example made of polycarbonate, to protect the photovoltaic cells 8.

La figure 2 représente une variante de réalisation possible d'un dispositif de réservation d'accès conforme à l'invention.FIG. 2 represents a possible variant embodiment of an access reservation device according to the invention.

In the corresponding embodiment, there is a technical box 1 identical to that described above in relation to Figure 1, to support the smooth 4; and this technical box incorporates in particular the motor means 3 of said arm 4 and the electrical box 5.

En revanche, le coffret 6' associé, intégrant le panneau de cellules photovoltaïques 8, est ici déporté, en ce sens qu'il est rapporté sur un support 41 implanté à distance du caisson technique 1.On the other hand, the associated box 6 ', integrating the photovoltaic cell panel 8, is here deported, in that it is attached to a support 41 located remote from the technical box 1.

The box 6 'is here of parallelepipedal or cylindrical general shape, and its lower face 30 is fixed on the support 41 by means of an orienting ball 42. This ball 42, of conventional type, allows a wide range of laborer; it allows a simple and fast positioning of the cabinet 6 ', and the spatial orientation of its associated solar panel 8 in a position adapted to the course of the sun.

In Figure 2, the support 41 is shown in two possible embodiments: - an L- shaped 41 ', especially useful for wall mounting, and - a rectilinear shape 41 ", allowing in particular a fixing to the ground.

In the embodiments according to this FIG. 2, the support 41 equipped with the box 6 'is fixed at a distance from the technical box 1, in a non-interfering zone. The connection between the technical box 1 and the box 6 'is achieved by a suitable wiring system, advantageously integrated in a trench connection.

Ce système lumineux 42 est avantageusement alimenté en électricité par la batterie 21, et son fonctionnement est contrôlé par la platine de gestion 20.In connection with FIGS. 1 and 2, and as an accessory, the reservation device may be equipped with a warning light system 42, intended to prevent movement of the rail between the deployed horizontal and vertical folded positions. This light system 42 is advantageously supplied with electricity by the battery 21, and its operation is controlled by the management plate 20.

In a general manner, the technical box 1 is fixed to the ground by means of a sealing foot 43. Preferably, the connection means between the technical box 1 and the sealing foot 43 allow an angular displacement of said technical box 1 , in order to allow the adaptation of its positioning according to the constraints of the track or the area to be protected.
In this case, the corresponding connecting means are identical to those used for the box / box connection described above in connection with Figure 1. In particular, the foot 43 is provided with projecting members; the underside of the technical box 1 comprises a circular opening for the guiding movement of said projecting members, and a clamping washer is provided inside said technical box 1.

In the context of an installation in which the cabinet incorporating the solar panel would be remote from the technical box (as shown in Figure 2), we can consider the presence of a box 6 as shown in Figure 1, with an inclined upper face and means of rotation about a vertical axis.
On the other hand, according to an alternative embodiment of the installation illustrated in Figure 1, the box that integrates the solar panel can be secured to the upper face of the technical box by means of a ball joint.
