Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1 and a mixing device according to the preamble of claim 9.
  • Such a process is mainly used to reduce the consistency of pulp suspensions in the stock preparation of a paper mill.
  • a certain consistency of the treated pulp suspension is set, which is useful for the sole reason that the optimum effect of the process steps can usually only be achieved with a defined consistency.
  • a thicker pulp suspension is treated with a diluent liquid, e.g. Return water, mixed. This is usually done in insects, with the help of pumps in which the shares to be mixed are brought together.
  • a diluent liquid e.g. Return water
  • the degree of mixing depends on the respective process state, e.g. if different speeds of rotation of the pump have to be set because of different throughputs. As a result, the mixing result may be uneven. It is also clear that every additional pump has an additional energy requirement.
  • An Indian DE-A1-41 25 513 The described dilution method of this type uses a pipe bend mounted in front of the mixing pump. In this, a low-consistency thinness and a higher-consistency thickener are brought together, the speed of the high-density material being at least 3 times that of the thinnest.
  • a mixing device for paper fiber suspensions is known, in particular for use in the feed line to the headbox. It is provided with an inner tube for one component and an outer tube for another component. In this case, the inner tube ends within the outer, so that the mixing can take place downstream. These is supported by elaborate wave-shaped installations.
  • the DE 699 15 737 T2 describes a method for the approach flow, which is used to mix several suspensions with different properties and in which a mixing tube is used.
  • a mixing tube In this mixing tube, a large portion of the white water of a paper machine is guided as the main flow.
  • further suspension streams are mixed into the mixing tube. These are, for example, coming from the stock preparation fresh material, so a homogeneous contaminant-free pulp suspension.
  • the invention is based on the object to provide a method of the type mentioned, with which it is possible to achieve a homogeneous consistency in the stock preparation process regardless of production and volume fluctuations.
  • the process should also work reliably in the case of congestion-promoting rejects.
  • the claim 9 describes an advantageous mixing device for carrying out the method.
  • the dilution liquid used can preferably be formed from return water, which originates, for example, from thickeners in the stock preparation or from the wire section of the paper machine. Such backwaters can be used directly or previously subjected to clarification (Entstoffung).
  • the liquids are mixed so that neither moving, eg rotationally driven stirring or mixing elements, nor a pump impeller increases the mixing effect, so that therefore the mixing energy comes from the flow energy of the liquids to be mixed. In this way, not only the expenditure on equipment is reduced, but also the energy used for pumps or mixers.
  • the mixing device used to carry out the method may be a hydraulic mixer.
  • the dilution liquid is co-current, cross-flow, Counterflow or in a combination of these variants in the thicker pulp suspension entered.
  • a nozzle is to be used by which a relatively high differential speed between the main flow in the mixing device and the dilution liquid can be generated, for example in a range between 5 and 15 m / sec.
  • the dilution liquid may be supplied in the same direction as the main flow, that is, in a DC circuit.
  • a mixing device 4 here in the form of a mixing tube, carries as mainstream a pulp suspension 1 whose consistency is, for example, in a range between 2 and 6%.
  • the pulp suspension 1 is formed here from the reject of a pressure sorter 7, which serves in a conventional manner to excrete undesirable contaminants from a pulp suspension with the aid of a wet sieving process.
  • the reject that is enriched with impurities Fraction, forms the pulp suspension 1, which is to be diluted in the mixing device 4 and introduced into this as the main flow.
  • a dilution liquid 2 (arrow with hollow head) is injected into the mixing device 4 with the aid of a nozzle tube 5.
  • the diluted pulp suspension 3 is here introduced into a straight cylindrical pipe section 6, whose length L here corresponds to six times their diameter.
  • the diluted pulp suspension 3 then passes directly into the pressure sorter 8, ie without a further pump.
  • This is a closed apparatus whose internal pressure differs from the ambient pressure. As a rule, it is under overpressure of at least 1 bar.
  • a material pump 9 serves to pump the pulp suspension successively through both pressure screens 7 and 8 and the mixing device 4 located therebetween. It is understood that the dilution liquid 2 is added with an overpressure in the mixing device 4, to which a pump, not shown here can be used.
  • the two pressure graders 7 and 8 each form an accepts 10 and 11, respectively, which is to be used for paper production on the paper machine, not shown.
  • the reject 12 of the second pressure sorter 8 can either be guided into a reject system or supplied to a further sorting stage analogously to the circuit shown here.
  • FIG. 2 an example of the embodiment of the mixing device according to the invention is shown.
  • a mixing device is usually also referred to as a mixing tube, since the merging of the liquids subsequent mixing section is located in a piece of pipe.
  • the thicker pulp suspension 1 is introduced via a 90 ° pipe bend 13 in a straight cylindrical pipe section 6.
  • a nozzle tube 5 is connected, which is arranged concentrically with the cylindrical pipe section 6.
  • the mouth 14 of the nozzle tube 5 is located within the pipe bend 13 and is set back by the amount 15, so that it does not protrude into the middle of the material flow. This retraction largely prevents disturbances of the main flow.
  • the added dilution liquid 2 is better distributed over the entire flow cross section in the pipe bend 13. In special cases, it is also conceivable to show the mouth 14 to the middle of the main flow.
  • the nozzle tube 5 may also be connected so that it is flush with the Inside the mixing device completes. It is divided by flanges and contains a nozzle insert inside 16. According to Fig. 4 is the nozzle insert 16 'pulled forward to the mouth 14 and there is flush with the inner contour of the mixing device 4 from.
  • eccentricity E an eccentric introduction of the nozzle tube 5 is shown here (eccentricity E).
  • nozzle tube 5 and cylindrical tube piece 6 are coordinated so that sets a significant difference in speed between dilution liquid and to be diluted pulp suspension in the intended operation of the mixing device. It is also conceivable, instead of the nozzles shown (reduced cross sections) to work continuously with thinner pipes for the dilution liquid. But that would increase the pressure loss and thus the energy consumption.
  • Hydraulic mixture for carrying out the method according to the invention can also be achieved by cross flows ( Fig. 5 ) or counterflows ( Fig. 6 ) be generated. In this case, energy consumption and mixing effect are to be coordinated.
  • Fig. 7 illustrates the application of the invention in a multistage sorter plant
  • the goal is often to dilute the reject of one stage before introducing it to the next stage.
  • the pulp suspension 18 arriving, for example, from the stock preparation as a virgin material is pumped by means of a fuel pump 19 into a cleaner system 20 which normally comprises many cleaners operated in parallel.
  • a cleaner system 20 which normally comprises many cleaners operated in parallel.
  • this results in a good substance 21, which is largely purified by heavy parts, and a reject, which is enriched with heavy parts, which is here collected in a closed collecting device 22 and introduced into the mixing device 4.
  • the dilution with the dilution liquid 2 takes place in the manner already described.
  • the thus adjusted pulp suspension 3 passes into a cleaner unit 23, which in turn forms a reject 24 and an accept 25.
  • the accepts 25 can either be returned to the first cleaner 20 or mixed with the accepts 21 of this system.
  • the or the acceptances then pass, for example, in a pressure sorter 26.
