Definitions
- the present invention relates to a compressor having a housing and an evaporation tray for a liquid, in particular a compressor for a refrigerator such as a refrigerator or freezer, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a compressor for a refrigerator such as a refrigerator or freezer
- Such a compressor is known from US 2,315,222 known.
- a collecting channel is generally mounted on a wall of the interior below the evaporator, which collects moisture draining from the evaporator. From the lowest point of the collecting channel, a channel is led through the housing wall of the refrigerator, through which the water can flow out of the interior. This channel conventionally flows into an open shell in which the water can evaporate. The shell is placed over the compressor of the refrigerator to heat the water with the waste heat of the compressor and thereby accelerate its evaporation.
- Such an evaporation tray must have sufficient power to evaporate under any operating conditions, the accumulating condensation, as overflow of the shell could cause water reaches live parts of the compressor or its environment. Therefore, the shell must be mounted as close to the compressor as possible to achieve sufficient heating to ensure that the shell does not overflow during operation and that water flows to the compressor. In order to achieve such a close and uniform in mass production from device to device neighborhood between the compressor and evaporation tray, the shell is generally mounted not on housing parts of the refrigerator, but directly to the compressor.
- a drip tray which attempts to produce as large as possible heat-conducting contact between the drip tray and the housing of the compressor.
- a bottom of the drip tray is at least partially made of a heat-conducting and limp material, in particular a film of plastic or metal, formed, which is able to create at least approximately to the surface of the compressor.
- Object of the present invention is to provide a compressor with an evaporation tray, with which the above-mentioned disadvantages are avoided.
- the compressor according to the invention proves to be particularly advantageous because liquid trapped in the evaporation tray is in direct contact with the housing of the compressor over the part surface of the housing, so that heat released from the compressor passes directly to the liquid to be evaporated.
- the thermal resistance between compressor and liquid is thus reduced to a lowest possible value.
- For the evaporation tray results in a significantly increased evaporation performance.
- cooling becomes more efficient for the compressor i. H. the cooling capacity is increased for the compressor.
- the element is variable for different design types of the compressor, since it can be placed on all common compressor series with the help of only a few supporting bodies. It eliminates the need for known evaporation trays tabs or setscrews that must be welded to their attachment to the compressor. Finally, in the invention by vibrations of the refrigerator noise occurring, which are often perceived as disturbing minimized or eliminated.
- the sub-surface is at least a part of a bottom of the evaporation tray, so that the element in the simplest case can be placed on a housing roof of the compressor.
- sealing means for sealing the evaporation tray are provided at this point.
- the sealant may be e.g. to act around a sealing ring. This may be circumferentially mounted between the element and the housing on a side surface of the housing or be placed on the housing attached support bodies.
- the sealant is a cold shrink tube, which is partially shrunk onto the evaporation pan and partly on the housing.
- the design with a shrink tubing or other conforming sealing connection of the housing and the element eliminates the need for different compressor rows custom injection molds for the evaporation tray.
- sealing means may be an adhesive with which the element is adhered to the housing.
- the sealant and the evaporation tray are integrally formed, since they can then be produced in a single operation as a molded part.
- silicone is preferred as the material for the sealant.
- the element is pressed by a pipe clamp to the vessel. This, on the one hand, ensures a secure hold of the element and, on the other hand, improves the sealing of the evaporation shell, in particular in cases where there is a sealant between the element and the housing.
- the housing has a circumferential bead on which the element rests.
- this seam can be used as a bead for laying on the element.
- FIGS. 1, 2 . 4 and 5 are not the subject of the invention.
- FIG. 3 An inventive compressor is in FIG. 3 and the associated description.
- Fig. 1 shows. a cross section through an upper part of a housing 1 of a compressor for a refrigerator or a freezer.
- the housing 1 is completed dome-shaped upwards.
- An element 2 in the form of a wall of a truncated cone is placed on the dome of the housing 1 such that it widens in a funnel shape towards the top.
- the lower, narrower edge of the element 2 is glued and sealed by an annular band 5 made of silicone on the dome
- a collecting tray 3 is formed by the obliquely outwardly inclined walls, the element 2 and surrounded by the element 2 part surface 4 of the dome of the housing 1.
- condensation water arising in the refrigerator is collected. This collects at the bottom of the collecting tray 3, where it is in direct contact with the partial surface 4 of the housing 1.
- heat generated in the compressor is transmitted very efficiently via the partial surface 4 directly to the water located in the drip tray 3. Since the water evaporates quickly, no large amount of water collects in the drip tray 3, which can therefore be kept small.
- the highly efficient cooling of the compressor through direct contact with the water extends its service life. In addition, it lowers the temperature at which the refrigerant exits the compressor, so that less power and consequently smaller dimensions are sufficient for a condenser of the refrigerator than when using a conventional evaporation tray.
- FIG. 2 A further education of in Fig. 1 shown element 2 is in Fig. 2 shown.
- the frusto-conical element 2 runs at its lower narrow end into a hollow cylindrical base 6 with the base 6, the element 2 is slipped over the housing 1.
- a wound on the housing 1 sealing ring 7 between the base 6 and the housing 1 is provided.
- the base 6 is enclosed at the level of the sealing ring 7 by a pipe clamp 8 and compressed.
- the contributing to the evaporation tray 3 sub-surface 4 is increased, thereby increasing the evaporation performance of the evaporation tray, and the connection between the housing 1 and element 2 is robust and resilient.
- the housing 1 is composed of an upper housing part 12 and a lower housing part 13, which are welded together, so that a bead 14 which surrounds the housing in an annular manner is formed.
- An element 2 with base 6 is placed on the upper housing part 12, wherein the bead 14 is advantageously used as a stop for the element 2.
- a sealing ring 7 is provided between the element 2 and the upper housing part 12.
- the housing 1 is also at the in Fig. 4 shown embodiment of an upper housing part 12 and a lower housing part 13 together.
- the housing part 12 is placed on the lower housing part 13.
- Both housing parts 12 and 13 comprise at their end annularly angled end portions 9 and 15 which are brought into abutment with each other.
- the base 6 of the element 2 has here at its lower end to the end portions 9 and 15 corresponding mounting ring 11, which also protrudes laterally.
- By the fastening ring 11 and the end portions 9 and 15 screws 10 are guided, with which the element 2 can be screwed tightly and tightly with the housing 1.
- a voltage applied to the housing 1 sealing ring 7 between the element 2 and the housing 1 is provided.
- an element 2 is shown, which also like the element 2 from the Fig. 2-4 is formed of a frusto-conical part and a hollow cylindrical base 6.
- the element 2 is made of an elastic material.
- the diameter of the base 6 is slightly smaller than the diameter of the housing 1, but large enough that the base 6 in the in Fig. 5 shown manner can be mounted on the housing 1 thanks to their elastic properties.
- the base 6 presses independently on the housing 1. Regardless of this, however, a pipe clamp 8 is provided which, applied around the base 6, additionally presses it against the housing 1.
- an additional sealing means such as a sealing ring, since the base 6 of the element 2 itself represents such a sealant.

Description
US 2,315,222 bekannt.
Fig. 1 gezeigten Elements 2 ist inFig. 2 gezeigt. - In
- In
