Abstract

A parasol (1) provided with a sun-blocking screen (2) which is centrally provided with a connecting piece (3) from which the screen (2) can assume a collapsed condition and a folded-out condition extending substantially radially outwards, wherein the parasol (1) is provided with a housing (4) in which the screen (2) in a collapsed condition is received, while the sun-blocking screen (2) in the folded-out condition is located outside the housing (4).
