Definitions
- the invention relates to a transport and sliding device for surfboards according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the technical problem which is solved according to the invention, is the construction of a transport and sliding device with a novel surface, which allows for much lower energy consumption as in the previously known artificial surf waves with a continuous closed thick film of water, a surf. With this surface much larger surfable surfaces with large differences in height can be built.
- the new transport and sliding device for surfboards consists of a variety of flexible, parallel to each other and juxtaposed, woven, high-strength plastic hoses 1 with different lengths. These hoses are rectilinear, curved or mounted in a combined form of straight and curved sections on a base of various materials at an angle 2 to the reference surface.
- the number of side by side hoses 1 depends on whether it is a transport and sliding device for individual surfers or for multiple surfers at the same time.
- metal or plastic profiles the individual hoses are held to each other in a precise position and this allows at the same time an exact squeezing of the hoses through the sliding over board edge 5 (sliding and pinch edge).
- the transport and sliding surface produced with it can now either be laid on firm ground or freely mounted with distance supports.
- water 3 is pumped up by a commercially available pump system.
- the weight of the surfer clamps the hose through the tilting, sliding and crushing edge 5 of the board and the water column 3 flowing upwards in the hose thus pushes the board with the surfer standing thereon upwards.
- the water pressure in the flexible hoses is adjusted so that the weight of an average heavy surfer sufficient to squeeze the hose over the entire length of the formed as a sliding and crushing edge 5 side edge of the board to zero.
- the surfer in the sliding phase can use both the buoyancy through the water jet 8 and the water column 3 flowing upwards in the hose.
- the size of the newly developed board which is made of wood, plastic, metal or combinations of these materials is tailored to the size and weight of the person surfing.
- the lower the weight of the person the shorter the board should be selected so that the surface pressure of the squish edge 5 is sufficient, with angekantetem angle 7 of the board to squeeze all the underlying hoses. So that Squeezing edge 5 can also simultaneously take over the function of the sliding edge, it has a circular cross section in section. This ensures that in every situation the board can slide well on the surf sports surface according to the invention, without damaging the hose surface.
- the tilting, sliding and crushing edge goes on the underside of the board directly into a baffle 6, which ensures at different angles of attack of the board for optimum power transmission from the impinging jet of water on the board.
- the kinetic energy is transmitted from the water jet 8 without major losses to the board.
- the entry for the athlete is either in the upper end of the surfing area possible, especially for beginners, as they come straight into the sliding movement, or advanced athletes can also get in the area of the surfing area and use the lift to slide over the surface up ,
- the transport and sliding devices according to the invention can now be mounted floating on either directly mounted in a lake, standing in a hall with a portable or permanently installed pool or placed in the wild on a slope with water catchment in the lower part of the surf sports area.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a transport and sliding device for surfboards according to the preamble of
The technical problem, which is solved according to the invention, is the construction of a transport and sliding device with a novel surface, which allows for much lower energy consumption as in the previously known artificial surf waves with a continuous closed thick film of water, a surf. With this surface much larger surfable surfaces with large differences in height can be built.
This object is solved by the features of the characterizing part of

The new transport and sliding device for surfboards consists of a variety of flexible, parallel to each other and juxtaposed, woven, high-strength
The size of the newly developed board, which is made of wood, plastic, metal or combinations of these materials is tailored to the size and weight of the person surfing. The lower the weight of the person, the shorter the board should be selected so that the surface pressure of the
The tilting, sliding and crushing edge goes on the underside of the board directly into a
Between the water-flowed
The entry for the athlete is either in the upper end of the surfing area possible, especially for beginners, as they come straight into the sliding movement, or advanced athletes can also get in the area of the surfing area and use the lift to slide over the surface up ,
The transport and sliding devices according to the invention can now be mounted floating on either directly mounted in a lake, standing in a hall with a portable or permanently installed pool or placed in the wild on a slope with water catchment in the lower part of the surf sports area.
