Abstract

The invention relates to a transport and gliding device for surfboards, comprising a guided stream of water influenc-ing the action of the surfboard, and a plurality of flexible parallel tubes ( 1 ) which are inclined at an angle ( 2 ) and have a non-abrasive, pressure-insensitive cover. Water flows upstream through said tubes which are preferably arranged or fixed on a solid base with spac-ers. In the region of the board gliding thereover, the cross-section of the tubes is reduced to a maximum value of zero by the gliding and squashing edge ( 5 ) of the board. In this way, the upwardly flowing water column ( 3 ) in the tube moves the board ( 4 ) with the surfer upwards. Strong jets of water ( 8 ) are also sprayed upwards on the surface of the tube, hitting the lower side of the board when it tilts and thus also pushing the board with the surfer upwards. The inventive gliding device can either be used in a buoyant manner on a lake, on the land or in areas with pools.

Description

The invention relates to a transport and sliding device for surfboards according to the preamble of claim 1.

The current state of the art ranges from surfboards, which are used on natural water waves to artificially generated water waves in which large amounts of water flow with large amounts of energy on artificial moldings. In these artificial waves of water that are suitable for surfing the moving water film must be very thick, so that the surfboard does not slip when Ankanten on the underlying mold surface Furthermore, flexible, rollable plastic sheets with lateral water supply or water-filled rib-like structures over which the water flows down cascade known from the US Pat. No. 5,401,117 (LOCHTEFELD, March 28, 1995 (28.03.95) is a generic transport and sliding device in the form of a device for water slides - also known as surfboards, where flows over a sloping artificial surface water.

The technical problem, which is solved according to the invention, is the construction of a transport and sliding device with a novel surface, which allows for much lower energy consumption as in the previously known artificial surf waves with a continuous closed thick film of water, a surf. With this surface much larger surfable surfaces with large differences in height can be built.

This object is solved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. Further advantageous features of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

The new transport and sliding device for surfboards consists of a variety of flexible, parallel to each other and juxtaposed, woven, high-strength plastic hoses 1 with different lengths. These hoses are rectilinear, curved or mounted in a combined form of straight and curved sections on a base of various materials at an angle 2 to the reference surface. The number of side by side hoses 1 depends on whether it is a transport and sliding device for individual surfers or for multiple surfers at the same time. By metal or plastic profiles, the individual hoses are held to each other in a precise position and this allows at the same time an exact squeezing of the hoses through the sliding over board edge 5 (sliding and pinch edge). The transport and sliding surface produced with it can now either be laid on firm ground or freely mounted with distance supports. In the hoses 1 10 water 3 is pumped up by a commercially available pump system. In the area of the board 4 sliding over it, the weight of the surfer clamps the hose through the tilting, sliding and crushing edge 5 of the board and the water column 3 flowing upwards in the hose thus pushes the board with the surfer standing thereon upwards. The water pressure in the flexible hoses is adjusted so that the weight of an average heavy surfer sufficient to squeeze the hose over the entire length of the formed as a sliding and crushing edge 5 side edge of the board to zero. Thus, the surfer in the sliding phase can use both the buoyancy through the water jet 8 and the water column 3 flowing upwards in the hose.

The size of the newly developed board, which is made of wood, plastic, metal or combinations of these materials is tailored to the size and weight of the person surfing. The lower the weight of the person, the shorter the board should be selected so that the surface pressure of the squish edge 5 is sufficient, with angekantetem angle 7 of the board to squeeze all the underlying hoses. So that Squeezing edge 5 can also simultaneously take over the function of the sliding edge, it has a circular cross section in section. This ensures that in every situation the board can slide well on the surf sports surface according to the invention, without damaging the hose surface.

The tilting, sliding and crushing edge goes on the underside of the board directly into a baffle 6, which ensures at different angles of attack of the board for optimum power transmission from the impinging jet of water on the board. Thus, the kinetic energy is transmitted from the water jet 8 without major losses to the board.

Between the water-flowed hose elements 1 8 strong water jets 8 are additionally sprayed through das.Pumpensystem upward, thereby forming when gliding with the flat on the surf sports surface resting board a water film between the board and hose, which allows a good sliding of the board. However, if the board is edged by the surfer 7, the water jets hit the baffle 6 on the underside of the board and thus additionally push the board 4 upwards. So now areas of the transport and sliding device can be splashed with water jets up. In these areas, then the additional buoyancy is there to reliably move the surfer upwards. In other areas of the area, the water is simply drained downwards. In these areas, then the sliding and swinging down possible, but the surfer can only in the areas with the strong water jet 8 again reliably slide upwards.

The entry for the athlete is either in the upper end of the surfing area possible, especially for beginners, as they come straight into the sliding movement, or advanced athletes can also get in the area of the surfing area and use the lift to slide over the surface up ,

The transport and sliding devices according to the invention can now be mounted floating on either directly mounted in a lake, standing in a hall with a portable or permanently installed pool or placed in the wild on a slope with water catchment in the lower part of the surf sports area.
