Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for cleaning the dampening solution of a printing machine with an automatically emptying separator, which separates the dirt particles and oil residues from the dampening solution and as a dirt and dampening solution a dirt and dampening supplies and introduces the remaining dampening solution in a fountain solution
- a fountain solution is used in offset printing to moisten the rollers during recording and transfer of printing ink.
- the dampening solution consists mostly of water with an addition of alcohol and other additives.
- the dampening solution is exposed to increasing contamination during the printing process by absorbing paint residues, dust, etc.
- a reuse of dampening solution is sought, since in this way the water consumption and the cost of the additives and on the other hand, the disposal costs can be limited.
- dampening systems are operated in the circulation.
- the dampening solution is filtered after use or subjected to other cleaning processes and then returned to a dampening solution tank. In this case, the mixing ratio between water and additives can be readjusted.
- a cleaning of the dampening solution by a centrifugal separator, in which separate the dirt particles from the dampening solution. Separators of this type are also available as embodiments with automatic draining (see DE 199 55 624 A1 ).
- DE 297 23 682 discloses a device for cleaning the dampening solution of a printing press, with a dirt and dampening solution container and a dampening agent, wherein the dirt and dampening agent mixture is supplied to the dirt and dampening solution and the remaining dampening solution is introduced into a dampening solution, the dirt and dampening solution container is with the dampening solution collecting container connected by an overflow, which emanates from the dampening agent contained layer of the dirt and dampening solution tank.
- An intensification of the cleaning process could be achieved by means of filters which are frequently used in practice. Filters are used in the form of filter mats, band filters, filter bags, etc.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method and apparatus of the above type, which allow to achieve without the use of filter materials a high degree of separation of dampening solution and dirt particles.
- the method according to the invention is characterized in that the soil and dampening solution mixture is brought into the dirt and dampening solution for stratified sedimentation and that the layer containing the dampening solution is transferred by an overflow in the dampening solution collection.
- the dirt particles Due to different density ratios, the dirt particles generally settle down in the smut and fountain solution container, while oil residues form the upper layer and the still usable dampening agent forms the middle layer. It is therefore possible by suitable arrangement of an overflow to remove the middle layer and thus separate it from the lower dirt particle layer and the upper oil layer. If the layers are distributed differently, the overflow should be used differently.
- a height-adjustable weir is provided above and possibly also below, which is adjustable so that the dirt particles located underneath and the above-floating oil residues are retained.
- a device is characterized in that the dirt and dampening solution container is connected to the dampening solution collecting container by an overflow, which emanates from the moisture-containing layer of the dirt and dampening solution container.
- the weir emerging from the top can be height adjustable. It is also possible to provide a liftable from below, adjustable weir.
- the single FIGURE is a schematic circuit diagram for explaining the sequence of the method according to the invention.
- 10 denotes a dampening solution tank. From this fountain solution tank 10 is transported in a manner not shown dampening solution to the associated printing unit of the printing press and returned used dampening solution. These details are not shown. Regardless, is drawn from the dampening solution tank 10 via a line 12 by means of a pump 14 fountain solution and fed to a centrifugal separator 16. This separator is self-draining. It serves for a substantial separation of dampening solution and dirt particles. The separator therefore discharges largely purified dampening solution into a dampening agent collecting container 20 via a line 18. On the other hand, a dirt particle / dampening solution mixture is discharged from the separator 16 via a line 22 into a dirt and fountain solution container 24.
- the dirt and dampening solution tank 24 is connected to the fountain solution tank 20 through an overflow 26, which is shown only schematically in the drawing.
- the overflow 26 starts from the central region of the dirt and dampening solution tank 24, so that in the dirt and dampening tank 24 dirt particles fall down and oil residue can float upwards, while at a moderate level largely pure dampening solution is available.
- This fountain solution layer can be removed via the medium height overflow 26. It can protrude from above and possibly also from below a weir in the overflow. These weirs can be adjustable in the vertical direction so that they only pass through the layer, which essentially consists of pure dampening solution, like a diaphragm.
- a line 28 in which a pump 30 is located. Via the line 28, the purified dampening solution can be pumped from the fountain solution tank 20 back into the dampening solution tank 10.

Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Reinigung des Feuchtmittels einer Druckmaschine mit einem automatisch entleerenden Separator, der die Schmutzpartikel und Ölreste vom Feuchtmittel abtrennt und als Schmutz-und Feuchtmittelgemisch einem Schmutz- und Feuchmittelbehälter zuführt und das verbleibende Feuchtmittel in einen Feuchtmittelsammelbehälter einleitetThe invention relates to a method for cleaning the dampening solution of a printing machine with an automatically emptying separator, which separates the dirt particles and oil residues from the dampening solution and as a dirt and dampening solution a dirt and dampening supplies and introduces the remaining dampening solution in a fountain solution
The separation of the dampening solution-dirt particle mixture in the separator naturally causes that this mixture still contains a relatively high proportion of usable wetting agent per se.
An intensification of the cleaning process could be achieved by means of filters which are frequently used in practice. Filters are used in the form of filter mats, band filters, filter bags, etc.
These filter materials are consumables and are costly both through procurement and later disposal. This is especially true for the need for the filter materials must be changed regularly by staffing.
The invention has for its object to provide a method and apparatus of the above type, which allow to achieve without the use of filter materials a high degree of separation of dampening solution and dirt particles.
To solve this problem, the method according to the invention is characterized in that the soil and dampening solution mixture is brought into the dirt and dampening solution for stratified sedimentation and that the layer containing the dampening solution is transferred by an overflow in the dampening solution collection.
Due to different density ratios, the dirt particles generally settle down in the smut and fountain solution container, while oil residues form the upper layer and the still usable dampening agent forms the middle layer. It is therefore possible by suitable arrangement of an overflow to remove the middle layer and thus separate it from the lower dirt particle layer and the upper oil layer. If the layers are distributed differently, the overflow should be used differently.
Preferably, a height-adjustable weir is provided above and possibly also below, which is adjustable so that the dirt particles located underneath and the above-floating oil residues are retained.
A device according to the invention is characterized in that the dirt and dampening solution container is connected to the dampening solution collecting container by an overflow, which emanates from the moisture-containing layer of the dirt and dampening solution container. The weir emerging from the top can be height adjustable. It is also possible to provide a liftable from below, adjustable weir.
In the following preferred embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The single FIGURE is a schematic circuit diagram for explaining the sequence of the method according to the invention.
In the drawing, 10 denotes a dampening solution tank. These details are not shown. Regardless, is drawn from the dampening solution tank 10 via a
The dirt and
From the
The arrangement of the two
The effort for the disposal of used release agent is reduced.
