Damit das Dokument 1 zuverlässig hinter der Rampe 14 auf die Transportriemen 5 abgelegt werden kann, sind zwischen den benachbarten Transportriemen 5 quer zur Transportrichtung verstellbare Anschläge 16 vorgesehen, die vorteilhaft fingerförmig ausgebildet sind und an denen das Dokument 1 mit seinem in Transportrichtung vorderen Rand zur Anlage kommt. Anschließend werden die Anschläge 16 wieder angehoben, so daß die nächsten Dokumente 1,2 gestapelt werden können. Die Rampe 14, die jeweils im Bereich zwischen benachbarten Transportriemen 5 angeordnet ist, wird aus ihrer versenkten Lage in die angehobene Lage verstellt, wenn die Zuführung der Dokumente 1 über den Systemkanal 4 erfolgen soll. Kuvertiermaschine mit mindestens zwei Systemkanälen, von denen der eine Systemkanal ein erstes Medium, wie Dokumente und dergleichen, und der andere Systemkanal ein dem ersten Medium zugeordnetes zweites Medium, wie Dokumente, einer Transporteinrichtung zuführt, auf der die beiden Medien übereinanderliegend ablegbar sind,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Systemkanäle (3, 4) so umschaltbar sind, daß der andere Systemkanal (4) zur Zuführung des ersten Mediums (1) einsetzbar ist.
