Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner and more particularly to a self-cleaning vacuum cleaner with high cleaning efficiency.
- a vacuum cleaner according to the preamble of claim 1 is known for example from US Patent 3592566 .
- Traditional vacuum cleaners generally include a frame mounted on transport members and carrying an electric turbine for creating, through a filter membrane, a vacuum in a particle collector. These particles are recovered from the ground for example by means of at least one broom and are driven to the collector by air flow, via a transfer conduit.
- the present invention aims to solve these technical problems satisfactorily by achieving a vacuum cleaner and lightweight, very high cleaning efficiency.
- a vacuum cleaner of the above type characterized in that the turbine comprises a set of blades and a nozzle whose box consists of an upstream portion volute centered on the axis of blades and opening into a divergent downstream portion of said box communicating with the outside, and in that said divergent downstream portion is provided with longitudinal internal partitions to divide and slow down the flow of air
- the wall of the box and the partitions are made of an acoustically insulating material and / or absorbing vibrations.
- said divergent downstream portion communicates with the outside through lateral orifices provided on the wall of the nozzle box.
- the upstream end of said duct may be connected to a broom formed of a roller bearing an external peripheral brush and internal blades threshing soil.
- said blade is rotated by an internal motor whose shaft is connected coaxially to the axis of rotation of said roller.
- said transfer conduit consists of a flexible hose removably connected to said brush.
- the upstream end of said pipe is provided with a rigid end piece allowing both the sealing connection with a chute carried by said broom and the manual catch for a brushless suction.
- the hose is further extensible.
- the transport members are arranged in the lower part and, where appropriate, in the upper part of the frame. These members are preferably constituted by optionally driving wheels.
- said particle transfer duct comprises an articulation delimiting a lower section and an upper section and allowing the opening of said duct.
- said lower section of the transfer duct is provided with a housing for receiving heavy particles.
- said frame contains at least one rechargeable electric battery for feeding the turbine and / or the motorization of the blade.
- the vacuum cleaner of the invention uses a new type of turbine with very high efficiency and low electrical power of the order of 80 W which can be powered by rechargeable batteries.
- the vacuum cleaner shown in the figures comprises a frame mounted on transport members R and carrying an electric turbine T intended to create, through a filter membrane M, a vacuum in a collector C of particles.
- the turbine T is housed in a chamber k and the collector C here consists of a flexible bag S with an air-permeable wall, enclosed in a compartment K delimited upwards and laterally by a rigid wall sealed and downwards. by the membrane M ensuring the separation with the suction chamber k.
- the bag S is wedged inside the compartment K by means of projections D secured to its inner wall.
- the particles are recovered from the ground and entrained to the collector C by air flow via a transfer conduit C.
- This air flow in the conduit C is the result of the suction produced by the turbine T in the chamber and the compartment K.
- the frame is furthermore equipped with a grip handle N.
- the turbine T comprises a set of blades P and a nozzle 1.
- the nozzle 1 consists of a housing consisting of an upstream portion 11 in volute centered on the axis of the blades and opening into a divergent downstream portion 12 communicating with the outside through orifices 10 formed laterally on the wall of the box of the nozzle 1.
- the divergent downstream portion 12 is provided with longitudinal internal partitions 13 ( Figure 1B ) to divide and slow down the flow of air discharged by the turbine T.
- the efficiency of such a turbine is thus very high (of the order of 45%) because, thanks to the partitions 13 and the increasing increase of the section of the downstream portion 12, there is no turbulence and the low speed flow remains laminar.
- the desired effect is sensitive as soon as the angle ⁇ between the vertical and the tangent of the partitions exceeds 5 ° ( Figure 1B ). It is possible to make the vacuum cleaner quieter by making the wall of the box and the partitions 13 with an acoustically insulating material and / or absorbing vibrations.
- the engine of the turbine is powered by at least one rechargeable battery E housed in a housing A disposed under the turbine T inside the frame.
- the upstream end of the transfer duct C (in the flow direction) is capable of being connected to a broom B for tearing off and lifting the particles to be sucked off from the ground.
- the broom B is formed of a roller bearing an external peripheral brush b and internal blades for threshing.
- the brush B is mounted here in front of the lower rolling members R.
- the brush B is rotated either by an internal motor whose shaft is for example connected coaxially to the axis of rotation of the roller as in the embodiment of the invention.

- the hinge H allows the opening of the duct and the access and / or emptying of a receiving box L of heavy particles located at the base of the section C2, under the section C1.
- This arrangement also makes it possible to widen the diameter of the duct and thus reduce air loss.
- the transfer conduit C consists of a flexible flexible hose releasably connected to the blade B.
- the flexible pipe is further extensible by being made, for example, accordion.
- the upstream end of the conduit C is provided with a nozzle 2 for sealing connection with a chute G carried by the broom B.
- the tip 2 also allows a manual grip to perform a brushless suction as shown on the Figure 2B .
- the frame is provided with two sets of transport members R, R ', one of which is mounted in the upper part of the frame to allow the use of the hoover as shown on the drawing.
- Each of the sets of transport members respectively lower and upper R, R ' is preferably constituted by a train of wheels optionally driven which is fixed to the frame by means of forks F, F'.

Description
figure 2A .
figure 1B ).
figure 2B .
