Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a contact element with a connection for stranded conductors, wherein the contact element consists of a clamping sleeve and a in the Clamping sleeve screwed held, thorn-like contact part is formed, wherein provided on the clamping sleeve a funnel-shaped connection opening in which the stripped stranded conductor into an inner connection chamber is insertable, and wherein the contact part with its tip and its conical surface in the stranded conductor is screwed and the strands against a Clamping shoulder to be pressed in the terminal end.
Such a contact element is provided to high current connections mechanically firmly connected to the contact element with stranded conductor cables, even high tensile forces and vibrations do not cause unwanted separation to cause the connection.
It is known to connect the terminal end of stranded conductors with crimp terminals to a contact element, or to connect stranded conductors with contact elements, in which a conical contact part presses the stranded conductors in a contact element by means of axially or radially acting forces on a correspondingly shaped counter surface, wherein the angle of the conical surfaces are the same.
Such a contact element for connecting stranded conductors is described in DE 89 14 460 U1.
The disadvantage of this is that such contact elements have a relatively large volume or have no sufficiently high long-term stability with respect to the pull-out safety or vibration safety.
The invention is therefore based on the object to form a releasable connection between a contact element of the type mentioned and a stranded conductor to the effect that the stranded wire is held in addition to optimum electrical contact properties, especially in vibration with high security in the contact element.
This object is achieved in that the contact part a tip as well has a conical surface at an angle (α) to the vertical, that the Clamping shoulder on its side facing the conical surface of the contact part has a conical surface at an angle (β) to the vertical, and that the angle α of the conical surface of the tip of the contact part is smaller than that Angle β of the conical surface of the clamping shoulder, and that the contact part only so far in the connection chamber, or in the inserted therein stranded conductor is screwed that between the conical surface of the contact part and the Conical surface of the shoulder remains a minimum overlap.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention is specified in
The advantages achieved by the invention are in particular that, in a high-current contact, which is formed as a terminal connection with a contact element for connection for stranded conductor with a clamping sleeve and a centrally guided contact part, which is pressed axially into the center of the introduced in a connection chamber stranded conductor and is achieved by differently shaped angle of a conical surface of a clamping shoulder and the conically shaped tip of the contact part a much higher squeezing in the cone zone, as is possible in conventional constructions in which the angles of the conical surfaces are made parallel.
This in turn results in a higher long-term stability with respect to the electrical contact, a better resistance to loosening of the clamping in vibration and ultimately by the gas-tight squeezing achieved here also optimum electrical contact resistance.
Furthermore, there is a much higher reliability of the stranded conductor from the contact element over such already known contact elements.
Another advantage of this design is that the stranded conductors no longer "co-roll" when tightening and therefore no longer cause any creaking noises.
